Astral Pet Store – Chapter 429

As the old man submitted a proposal, many turned their attention to Su Ping who was dressed in an almost pitiful and shabby manner.

Some passengers even started to envy Su Ping. He, for sure, had bad luck and almost fell victim to that crazy Red Phantom Dog. However, he ended up not getting hurt and would then earn a lot of money.

Ten thousand was not a meager sum, almost the same as what a white-collar worker could produce in a month. For a young man dressed up that bad, this must be a huge sum of money.

Both Ji Zhantang and his grandson frowned at this. They could sense that the old man in the suit was insulting them for being involved.

While everyone anticipated that the young man would take the money, which would end this story, he did not. “Offer me money is not necessary, it is not a big problem. But you really have to thank the young lady here. If it wasn't for him, you would have seen blood when you got here, and if someone ended up getting hurt, money wouldn't have corrected that mistake, ” Su Ping said.

The answer surprised everyone.

The old man's smile froze on his face as he looked at the young man in a daze. For one thing, the young man refused to accept the money. For the others, he educated her?

The young man sounded calm, but it was his extremely calm tone that made the old man feel strange and uncomfortable.

The blood?

It will not be a big deal even if you have been bitten to death. The worst case scenario is a lawsuit and all they have to do is settle it with money.

Was the young man aiming for more than ten thousand?

The old man in the suit seemed unhappy. Ji Zhantang could argue with him and that was because Ji Zhantang was an equal. How dare this poor man talk like this? The old man could not swallow the humiliation.

He gradually began to release his energy. The old man in the suit looked at Su Ping coldly. There seemed to be two mountains towering over his shoulders, which were moving towards Su Ping throughout his gaze. He wanted to make the young man bow on the ground, kneel down and apologize! “Hah, an old man bullied a child!”

Ji Zhantang sneered. He stepped in before anyone noticed. He looked at Su Ping in admiration and then said to the old man in the suit, “He didn't take your money at all. And he's not wrong, you know? If someone dies, you won't be able to fix that mistake with money. What do you think you can do to her?”

As he said those words, Ji Zhantang stepped in front of Su Ping to protect him from the old man's threat.

The old man in the suit narrowed his eyes and his face became clouded.

While the energy between the two old men became increasingly stronger, they heard a voice. It was an open iron door. A team of people wearing green armor arrived. They were servants and they had to be of high rank judging by the armor they wore and their shoulder straps.

All five are advanced fighting pet fighters.

“Train will be leaving soon. Go back to your room and don't make trouble!” The team leader was a middle-aged man. He said it even though he was somewhat afraid of the energy coming out from Ji Zhantang and the old man in the suit.

The officers were civil servants of the government. They were not afraid because anyone who dared offend them would become an enemy of the government!

The old man in the suit snorted after the servant came to maintain order. He said nothing and returned to where his young lady was. Before he left, he saw Su Ping again. He had entered the young man's gaze into memory.

Ji Zhantang noticed the look in the old man's eyes, which made Ji Zhantang frown.

The spectators returned to their rooms on the orders of the officers. Soon, Ji Zhantang, Ji Qiuyu, and Su Ping were the only ones standing in the hallway.

“Hey, our room is over there. You can come and catch me anytime if anything happens, ” Ji Zhantang told Su Ping kindly.

Su Ping refrained from explaining a single thing and simply nodded.

He had also noticed the killing intent of the old man in the suit when he left, but Su Ping did not mind him. The old man better not make trouble. If he did, Su Ping would have made it into dust.

Ji Qiuyu did not say anything to Su Ping. When Su Ping rejected the money, he thought highly of it. But that's all.

Ji Zhantang did not talk much with Su Ping. After all, they were just strangers. He took his grandson to their room.

After they left, Su Ping took out his room key and put it into the slot on the door. The door opened, revealing a small room that was only seven to eight square meters in area. There is a bathroom, a bed, and minimal space for a walk.

Of course, having such a room on the train was already incredible.

Su Ping placed his backpack on the table and sat on the bed.

A sacred place for all coaches. Sacred Light was a Class A base city, or as people often said, a first-rate base city.

Of the more than one hundred base cities in the Subcontinent District, there were three levels, Class A, B, and C. Only seven base cities were Class A base cities!

Class A base cities are superior to other base cities in every way, especially in terms of safety and security. Not even the king of ferocious beasts could destroy a Class A base city!

Out of the entire District of the Subcontinent, there were only two legendary battle-fighters, who were comparable to the king of beasts. Because of this, humans had been able to obtain some artifacts and develop some weapons that could deter many beast kings.

Even in Class B base cities, people could fight back under the attack of the beast king, or at least succeed until the other base cities came to the rescue!

The distance to the Holy Light Base City was long. Su Ping saw that it was written on the ticket. The trip will take two days and two nights! It was a journey that crossed half of the Subcontinent District!

Su Ping leaned against the bed and stared at the reinforced synthetic glass. He could see the rails outside through the glass.

Many tracks run parallel to each other. Outside the tracks is a stone wall that was apparently built by a stone family pet. The underground tunnel was more like a cave for ferocious beasts.

On the sides of the carriage were rows of lights that could produce tentacle projections. Looking from a distance, the carriage was like a huge centipede moving underground.

Su Ping stared at the stones through the glass. At first he was interested, but over time he got bored. He decided to close his eyes and rest his mind.

Time pass.

The train stops every few hours.

Someone will come down and someone will go up. He could hear people walking around.

Su Ping started to focus on cultivation. As the carriage drove, Su Ping knew that the astral force in the tunnel was suitable for the stone family fighting pets.

But he doesn't have such pets.

Of course, he did not need any pets from the stone family because the Golden Dragon Hound was his best shield.

A full day has passed.

Su Ping was getting hungry. He stopped and headed to the restaurant on the train.

There was a restaurant not far from the cabin where he was. It is said that the food in the restaurant is tastier and more diverse than the food offered in the restaurant for the hard seat cabin. He also heard that the chef was waiting for passengers in a private cabin

—which will cost one million for one ticket and can order anything they want.

Su Ping met Ji Zhantang and his grandson at the restaurant.

They greet each other.

Su Ping took out a few dishes and sat down by himself to eat.

Although they had met, he thought he did not need to involve them in the conversation as they were not familiar with each other and could not find any common topics directly.

Su Ping was eating when Ji Zhantang and his grandson had finished eating. As they walked past Su Ping table, Ji Zhantang said with a smile, “It's nice to meet you. Later.”

Ji Qiuyu only glanced at Su Ping. He's not a big talker.

“OK,” Su Ping nodded and replied.

Soon, he finished his meal and returned to his room.

He did a little stretching in the narrow space before he sat on his bed again to cultivate.

This time, after only a few hours, he suddenly heard a shrill voice that greatly disturbed the ears. Meanwhile, the entire carriage trembled violently so Su Ping was thrown off the bed.
