Astral Pet Store – Chapter 697

Time pass. A few hours passed. Dusk is coming; night is coming soon.

Time passed as fast as any other day, but the people of the continent saw it as the longest day of their lives.

The new defense project could only cover nine base cities; the remaining base cities would have to surrender and move to fortified locations.

The nine base cities were filled to the brim. Those who had already experienced relocation were not too frustrated this time; they had gone through the pain of leaving home once. They just go through the process again without any ruffled feathers.

But, the locals of the nine basic cities complained

Two towering walls had been built, each more than six hundred meters high. Some king beasts were able to climb that height.

Making the wall higher would be troublesome for those who would watch over the perimeter from up there; this would reduce the efficiency of their ranged skills. His height had been decided after careful calculations.

The walls are eight meters thick!

One might find it hard to imagine what eight meters means; skyscrapers in a base city are usually less than eighty meters tall. The structure of the walls is complicated; several different types of materials are mixed to build them. The tower contributed by adding some secret formations, in order to prevent some beasts from the stone family from stealing the stone materials on the walls and weakening them.

While the walls were being built, the relocated residents were assigned to nine base cities; they were distributed evenly to avoid overloading any base cities.

In addition to the nine base cities, four new base cities were built within the wall protection to house the relocated residents. If they did not make the accommodation it would basically cram all the survivors of the continent in the nine base cities — the base cities would be overwhelmed. Combat pet warriors who could not fly had difficulty moving in the base cities.

Building a new base city was not difficult, and construction standards were lowered during those difficult times. Astral pets are used to make buildings. Some of the more powerful astral pets are able to build a community that can accommodate a hundred thousand people in an hour. Of course, such a large community was already considered large.

People rushed to and fro as they took care of all the tasks in the construction of the defense project and the relocation took place regularly. People would rarely find a savage beast as they passed through the barren area to move. For one thing, ferocious beasts across the continent had been enlisted in the invading army. Gu Siping and Su Ping sat face to face at the table.

Su Ping had met many Heavenly Deities who were in the Fate Country when he visited Joanna's house. Some Heavenly Deities would shamelessly display their strength, letting it gush wildly.

Still, there was a common trait in Heavenly Deities.

Su Ping noticed him after interacting with that Heavenly God several times, and it was something he had never seen on those in the Void State. It was hard to describe what that trait was in words, yet he was sure that he felt it in the Tower Master.

He could also tell that the Tower Master was not at the peak of the State of Fate; he was just average, given what he saw. Su Ping had met the Heavenly God of the Fate Country; there was something special, something from another world about them. He could stand in front of them and still feel as if they were just projections of themselves. Su Ping's insults towards Gu Siping grew after measuring Gu Siping's strength.

The Tower Master could not stop the attack!

He is the most powerful man on the Blue Planet, the hope for all of humanity. However, he would not be able to save the world from ferocious beasts. Worse, he did not pay enough attention to the attack. Simply put, he was incapable and stupid!

The ferocious beasts were able to exit the Inner Cave because the formation in the Inner Cave had been breached. The Tower has ignored this matter .. The Tower Master has committed a great crime!

“I only know you by name; I'm glad to have the chance to finally meet you. Master Su, you are an amazing man. I heard that you killed the Fate State beast yourself not long ago. Everyone from the Tower would have to follow Su Ping's orders if he became the commander-in-chief, including Yuan Tianchen. He would not be able to resist being sent to fight against the most ferocious wild beasts if Su Ping sent him. He's gonna die!

“We also ask you to be our commander in chief!”

Another legendary battle pet warrior stood up and bowed to Gu Siping.

The others from the Tower looked at each other. They finally stood up and bowed to Gu Siping.

A complete line of legendary pet fighters seated across the table from Su Ping stood up and bowed.

On the other hand, Xue Yunzhen, Xiang Fengran, Qin Duhuang, and the others sitting by Su Ping's side remained seated; they had all obtained the Void State battle pets from Su Ping and they felt indebted to him for that. In fact, Su Ping had sold the pet for a very cheap price. He has earned their full trust!

“Omong empty!” Gu Siping shouted.

Su Ping slowly leaned back into his chair.

“Hah, interesting.”

Su Ping tapped on the table with his finger.

“You are many ..” Su Ping glanced at the many legendary fighting pet fighters. He didn't finish that sentence. He shook his head and turned to another topic. “I think we can have Mr. Gu take care of the command. He's more experienced than me, and I don't want to go against him on this.
