Astral Pet Store – Chapter 220
For obvious reasons, Su Ping chose to be revived in a random place.
When her vision was clear, she saw greenery and flowers around her; she was worried that she had been put back into the garden again. But upon closer inspection, it was no longer a garden, but an unkempt flowerbed growing on the side of a mountain.
Within a great distance to his left, he saw a large city enclosed within a white castle wall that was shining with energy marks. The walls were too high for him to see what was inside the city, except for the ends of some incredible large buildings and another mountain located in the center of the city, he said, where more buildings line each other.
Su Ping took a moment to admire the majestic city. He did not know what place it was, although he was sure it should be well inhabited and flourishing.
Is it the city of the gods?
Since “Random awakening” won't put him too far away from his death point, he wonders if that strange park is right inside that city, while he's just been taken out of there.
If so, then it would be better not to approach the city to prevent “dewi” from finding it again. Still, he didn't think it was possible; he was sure that his fake death could easily fool him.
He decided to find a place to fight monsters for now. If he still had some free time after the training was over, he would come back and see this otherworldly city, and perhaps see what life “local residents” looks like. After all, finding the city of the gods was a rare opportunity.
After making up his mind, he summoned his four pets and started heading to the other side of the mountain.
A civilization, huh? And divine civilization at that time. Perhaps this field of cultivation was a real world that existed somewhere, and not a virtual space forged by the system.
This place was a very different sight when compared to the other planes he had visited in the past, which is all about deadly environments and even more deadly monsters that want him dead. He suspected that the local civilization might be more advanced than his home. And if this place does exist somewhere in the unexplored universe, it means he might visit this place again in the future without using the system.
Thinking that both the Chaotic Realm of the Undead and the Archean Divinity were real places as well…
It's starting to get scary. In comparison, the home planet is very small. And even when he was on his home planet, he was a vulnerable person who had to rely on the protection of the system to survive. There is a lot he has to do to get stronger.
Becoming a legendary warrior can be a start. Then, I had to aim for something better. He suddenly felt a great determination bubbling within him.
The Purple Python had brought him to the bottom of the mountain, in front of him lay a boundless wasteland where he caught a glimpse of a large, randomly scattered bone that was larger than some of the largest aircraft carriers he had ever seen in the film.
He asked the Dark Dragon Hound and Inferno Dragon to advance. Pets seem reluctant at first when they sense dangerous air ahead. Though they still had to obey Su Ping's orders.
After walking for several kilometers, the Dark Dragon Hound suddenly sank into the sand as its body had been captured by a huge trap like mouth that instantly destroyed its five elemental shields.
The Hell Dragon jumped up, before seeing what was happening and rushed to help his comrade. However, it could not move too far before the whip shot out from the ground and dropped it to the side.
Meanwhile, the Dark Dragon Hound immediately stopped struggling as its body split into two.
Su Ping frowned and immediately raised the dog, preventing the strange mouth from enjoying its food.
Dark Dragon Hound was left dumbfounded for a moment before he remembered that he could not die for real when “trained.” It examined the nearby chewing mouth that was still dripping blood, and turned around to escape.
Su Ping immediately activated the “Killing Intent” skill, making the dog turn around and start clawing at the enemy.
Su Ping felt the ground beneath them shake. He quickly told the python to take him away.
As soon as he retreated, he saw a creature climbing into the open similar to a crocodile, but with a few thin legs covered in a hard shell that looked like a crab leg. It had an unknown sinister organ protruding from the top of its head, which was the “” mouth trap that had just been used to capture the Dark Dragon Hound earlier. His hardened body had many holes on both sides from where a large number of pointed tentacles were sticking out. There is no doubt that it is a deadly weapon as well.
Su Ping grimaced. It was the Beast King.
The Dark Dragon Hound tried to intimidate him by howling, which did not work out well. In return, “crocodile crab” responds with its own growl that instantly leaves Su Ping's body goosebumps.
The Dark Dragon Hound jolted out from its berserk state, as it trembled and retreated.
Su Ping called out to the Heavenly Pig in order to come into action.
