Who's More Beautiful?

Apologizing. If Karan is given another chance, he wants to do just that. Apologize to the ex-wife for thousands of times, until Raya wants to forgive him. Karan could not. The day the judge decided on their divorce, Karan could not see Raya's face for the last time. Though there is still a lot that Karan wants to convey to Raya. His guilt was so great that it could not be expressed as just one sentence of apology.

Karan touched Luca's head and stroked it slowly. “Thank you, Luca. Uncle will follow Luca's words if Uncle meets Uncle's wife.”

Luca smiled with a smile that just showed his adorable cheeks. “Iya, Uncle must quickly go home to meet with Uncle.”'s wife

“Iya, Uncle will do it,” Karan said with his hand still stroking Luca's head. He didn't want to be smart because it hurt so much. But every time she sees Luca, Karan always imagines his son is still alive. “Now, let's finish the ice cream before it melts,” continued the man.

Luca obeyed Karan. He finished the ice cream on his desk without even a little left. Actually Karan is not too fond of sweet foods, thanks to Luca, Karan considers sweet foods not too bad. Especially if you eat it with someone fun like Luca. Perhaps before returning home, Karan will take Ian to the nearest chocolate shop to buy some boxes of chocolate that will be distributed to the orphanage. Just like Luca, Karan is sure the kids there will love the sweet food he buys.

A few minutes later, someone stopped by their desk. That man was not Edgar, but Maude. In a hurry the woman approached Karan. “Sorry Mr. Karan, My brother still has to talk to some clients. So I'll pick up Luca.” Maude's breathing was sighing, it seemed like the woman was in a hurry to this place. Karan who saw it also felt pity.

“Sit first Mother Maude. Take a breath,” said the CEO trying to calm Maude down. He also handed over the seat beside him to Maude.

“Thank you,” reply Maude while sitting in the chair Karan gave her.

“You want me to buy you drinking water?”

“If you don't mind.”

“Of course not. Wait a minute.” Karan gets up from his chair to buy Maude mineral water.

As Karan leaves, Maude approaches Luca. He pinched the child's cheek with anxiety. “You love to escape from Aunty! You didn't know we were all dizzy looking for you, especially Nanny who is now crying because she thinks you're missing.”

Luca squinted his eyeballs as he looked at Maude. “I can't eat ice cream. So I just ran away.”

Maude patted Luca's head. “Hey brat! Can you eat ice cream if you run away? You just don't have any money.”

Luca's little hand moved into his bag. He took two cards out of there. One black credit card and the other card is a business card. “Quiet, I have this card. If I show it they'll definitely give me ice cream.”

Both of Maude's eyes widened. Luca's credit card was Edgar's credit card, and the boy's business card was his father's business card, which listed where Edgar worked and his office number. By showing the two objects Luca will indeed get what he wants because the ice cream shop waiter will definitely contact Edgar's office so that Luca's whereabouts will be found soon.

“Wah wow! You're so smart. Where'd you get Daddy's credit card? You took it? Here, let Aunty return it to Daddy!”

With a quick movement Luca hid the cards into his bag. “No! I didn't take it. Daddy gave it to me. He said to give it to Mommy, but Mommy hasn't come home yet so I'll keep it. I just wanted to borrow it for a while, but it wasn't because I met Uncle Karan.”

“But darling, you can't use Daddy's credit card carelessly like that. Daddy will be mad at you.”

“Why can Mommy?”

“Why Mommy can use Daddy's credit card at will. Daddy even said Mommy can wear it anytime. Why can't Mommy but I can't?”

“OK, so can we go home now? We have to pick up Mommy ‘ right? You don't miss Mommy?”

Hearing her mother being called, Luca nodded his head. “Iya, I'd like to see Mommy.” Luca got down from his chair and walked towards Karan. Both Karan and Maude think Luca wants to say goodbye, but the boy goes up to Karan's lap. “Uncle, can Uncle deliver me to the car?”

Maude was panicking. He didn't expect Luca to do that to his sister's business colleague. Maude quickly tries to prevent Luca. “Luca, can't be! Uncle Karan has other activities. Come down, Aunty will take you to Mommy.”

“But, Aunty ..”

Maude growled again. “Luca!”

Luca's hand gripped Karan's suit tightly. It seemed like the boy would cry if he continued to be forced. Karan decides to follow Luca's wishes. “It's okay. I'll take Luca all the way to your car.”

Unexpectedly Luca cheered loudly. “Yey!”

Karan smiles. “Are you happy?” ask the boy.

Luca nodded quickly. “Iya!”

“Good, Uncle is also happy if you are happy.”

A rough gust of breath sounded from Maude. The woman felt very guilty for Luca's mischievous actions. “Pardon Luca's behavior, sir. I didn't think Luca would be this bad. Though he was always spoiled for his parents, but he had never been like this before to others. I'm really sorry, Mr. Karan.” He offered his apology sincerely even to the point of bowing his head.

Karan felt bad about the sight. “It's okay Mom Maude. I don't mind doing it at all. After all, Luca is a cute kid. Being close to him actually makes me happy.”

“Thank you Sir, once again I'm sorry for troubling you.”

“No, no. Don't apologize.”

Holding Luca, Karan walks down the street of the restaurant to the parking lot on the lower floor of the building. During the trip Luca told Karan many things, ranging from his activities at school to the greatness of the father. Luca looked very proud of his father. The boy always said that the father was a figure he always admired, of course after the mother. Because in his heart, his mother's position will always be number one. No one will be able to replace him.

“Thank you Uncle,” said Luca when he was already in the car. He looked at Karan as he continued, “Did Uncle not want to meet my Mommy? She is very beautiful.” The boy again praised his mother's beauty after a few seconds ago doing that many times.

Karan shook his head without fading the smile imprinted on his lips. “No, Uncle still has other business. And also your Mommy is beautiful, but Uncle sure Uncle's wife is much prettier,” said Karan who also boasted the beauty of the ex-wife. For some reason he suddenly did not want to lose to compete with Luca to show who the more beautiful women who were by their side.

Luca replied loudly. “No! My mommy is prettier! Mommy is the prettiest in the world!” The boy looked so upset.

Sontak Karan laughed out loud. He touched Luca's head and ruffled the boy's hair. “Yes, all right, your prettiest Mommy. So Luca, quickly meet your Mommy and tell her that you've won the fight with Uncle.”

“Iya, I'll tell you later. Bye Uncle, don't forget to make up with Uncle's wife huh?”

Karan's lips covered the smile again. “Iya!” the promise.

The man waved to the boy who asked him to argue. After the car he was riding in disappeared from sight, Karan let out a long sigh. He again felt lonely when all that left was a four-year-old boy who was very noisy and did not want to lose. Karan felt empty until his chest hurt. Unconsciously, he shed his tears.

Karan took his phone and saw the beautiful face of Raya attached to the front screen of the phone. Now Karan knew what made him feel so lonely like this. He misses the people on his phone screen. He misses Raya.

“I miss you, Raya. Missing you so much that it makes my heart hurt. Can we meet again?” karan said as he stroked the screen of his phone, right where Raya's cheek was. Karan is really looking forward to meeting his ex-wife for whatever reason. He who initially did not believe in other powers also began to hope that there was a miracle that happened in his life. For example, Karan met Raya. Had it happened, Karan would not have asked for anything more. He will be satisfied with that simple request.
