The reason Raya did not attend their divorce hearing and only sent her lawyer as a representative was to cover up her pregnancy. His stomach was getting bigger and bigger, he couldn't possibly cover it at all times. Sooner or later Karan will realize that Raya is already lying. “So, why did Luca call him ‘Daddy’?” There was jealousy when Karan asked that. For five years he did not know his baby was alive. Once he found out, the boy already had another father. Karan was never called father by the son, but instead another man called father by him. Karan could not accept that at all.

“That's because it was Edgar who helped me to the hospital. He owns the apartment building where my aunt and I live. At that time she was monitoring the apartment building and met me who was about to give birth. He helped me.”

Without thinking, Edgar helped take Raya to the nearest clinic from the apartment building to get first aid. Even when Raya was referred to a larger hospital, Edgar always accompanied Raya.

At first Edgar felt guilty because as the owner of the building, he could not ensure the safety of the residents. Then, the feeling turned into a sense of compassion to see Raya who was alone in the hospital without being accompanied by anyone. As time went on, Edgar felt it was his responsibility to Raya. Especially when he became the first person to hold Luca because Raya was still unconscious until a week after giving birth.

As soon as Raya regained consciousness, she was surprised to see Edgar was by her side. At first he felt awkward, but Edgar tried to explain well the events that happened. The man apologized for doing many things without the permission of Raya. Since everything had already happened Raya could not express her anger. He was upset by his sudden status as someone's lover, but he was also grateful that Edgar had saved him and his son. He also did not mind the name Edgar gave his son. Although he had the right to change it, he still let his son Luca because the baby looked comfortable with the call.

“Then everything just happened. Having often seen Luca in the hospital for almost a month, Edgar and Luca became close. Edgar often calms Luca down when Luca cries, and takes care of Luca while I'm busy pursuing my modeling career. His family also readily accepted Luca even though they knew Luca was not the son of Edgar. They take care of our baby lovingly,” explained Raya. He spoke honestly to Karan about everything. “I wanted to do that, Karan. When Luca was one year old, I returned to Indonesia. I want to say about Luca to you, but I can't do it.”

Karan scrunched his forehead. “Why? You know where our house is. Ah, naw. I mean, home. You also know my office address. Nothing has changed since you left me until now. Even my phone number is the same. You know why I did that? Because I believe you'll call me someday. I'm afraid that if I move house or change my cell phone number, you'll have a hard time finding me. I'm afraid you won't have a way to find me.”

You even delivered it to yourself at the press conference that you already had a wife. With that news how could I possibly come to you, Karan? I thought you had forgotten me and had a new wife so I decided not to bother you anymore.”

“What?” Karan is lying around not playing. He let go of his embrace and ruffled his hair violently. In fact, Karan again let out a heavy breath from his mouth while cursing violently. How stupid is this. He did not expect his lie that he made to expel other women who were about to approach him even ended up by distancing Raya from his side. I want Karan to scream loudly because of the annoyance that gnaws at his heart. This was truly a ridiculous deed that he never expected would happen.

Raya's eyes stared at Karan. “I really thought you were married, even until yesterday.”

“Are you stupid? You didn't see this?” Karan raised his hand and showed the back of his right hand to the face of Raya, where on one of his fingers was embedded a wedding ring that for five years was faithfully attached there. “I always show this, Raya, wherever I am. I never let go for a second. You know why? Because this is our wedding ring. Don't you recognize him at all?”

“How can I know how your ring is shaped? When we got married, our preparation was very short. It's only been a week, and you've prepared everything, including our wedding rings. Then, you are also rarely home. Have you forgotten everything?” Raya doesn't want to lose. This time he blames Karan for what the man did while they were still in marriage.
