The Unexpected Change

The night before Karan brings Raya home. At first Karan wants to spend the night in a hotel room while hugging his wife's body. It was just that Ian had come at an unexpected time. Karan had indeed asked her to come to bring Raya's clothes, but she had not expected it to come so soon.

“This sir, I brought the clothes of Ibu Raya,” said Karan's personal assistant while handing a bag to Karan. That shirt was the one Karan had ordered a few hours ago, when Raya looked through his brochure inside the magazine. Thanks to the spy who always monitors Raya that Karan can know with tepa buta who is liked by the wife.

“OK,” reply Karan. Seeing Ian not leaving his place, Karan asked, “Why? Is there anything you want to say?”

“Em, look Sir. There's actually a problem at the office. Our designs that we should use for new products have been used by other companies. Looks like there's a traitor inside our company, Mr.”

Karan is so angry, but he can still control his emotions. Yes, Karan is better able to withstand the betrayal of his employees than the betrayal that Raya committed. Because, the employee can easily replace Karan with a new one, but he will never be able to replace the figure of Raya in his life.

“Alright, set up a meeting tomorrow morning. But before the meeting, we should've caught who did.” Karan thought again. It's already at two in the morning, maybe he should immediately drive Raya home. “Oh yes Ian, prepare the car. I have to take my wife home.”

Dutifully Ian nodded. “Good Sir. I will prepare the car in front of the lobby.”

Karan rushed away after closing the door. He approached the Kingdom, changed his wife's clothes carefully, and took her to the lobby where Ian was waiting. As Ian opened the rear car door, Karan remembered something. “Have you cleaned the ashtray from the inside?”

Ian was wide-eyed, not expecting Karan to notice such a thing. Didn't Karan always not care how piled up the cigarette in his car ashtray? The man even deliberately showed that he was a heavy smoker to Raya so that the woman hated him. Why does the reef suddenly care so much?

“Ian, didn't you hear me?” ask Karan again.

“Ah, Yes Sir.” Ian flinched, pulling back his consciousness in order to communicate well. “I've cleaned it Sir. You take it easy,”. Fortunately, he had already thrown away the contents of the cigarette ashtray before coming to the hotel.

However, Karan still did not want to get into the car. Apparently there was still something in his heart. “Have you saved my cigarettes?”

If you keep a cigarette, Ian doesn't. He did not want to get any more scolding because he had touched the thing from its place. “Not Sir,” says Ian.

“Quick hide. Don't let my wife see it.”

“Good Sir.”

After Ian did everything he told, Karan brought Raya who was still asleep in the car. He breathed a sigh of relief because he found no sign of the smell of cigarette smoke in the car. Ian is a really great assistant. The man will always make sure the air in the car is always clean even though Karan often smokes inside.

“Eugh!” Raya moaned, feeling uncomfortable because Ian suddenly stepped on the brakes. Karan immediately grabbed his wife and calmed her down, then he protested to the assistant. “Can't you drive more carefully?”

“Sorry Sir. I didn't know there was a hole in the road.”

Ian is not to blame. It was still dark and the lighting leading to Karan's house was not very good. Some streets were also damaged. Even though the surrounding community has protested to the government, both city governments get to the central government. However, no matter how loud the community sounds, the government seems to care for the ears. Whereas if reminding the people to pay taxes is always diligent, but when the people ask for the right from the taxes they pay, the government will pretend to be a creature created without hearing.

“Be careful, do not let Raya wake up,” Karan said commemorating.

Ian was really in a confused state right now. First the cigarette problem, then the street problem. It's no secret that Karan is so obsessed with Raya. Even the man had already prepared the wedding before their meeting. But after getting married, instead of being a love-drunk man, Karan instead ignored Raya, making the woman seem worthless in her eyes. Karan also deliberately rarely goes home so that Raya feels useless and unexpected.

So, what the hell is going on now? Why did Karan suddenly change like a stranger? For what does Karan look so concerned about Raya after what the man did over a month? Ian doesn't understand at all. And he has no right to interfere either. All Ian could do was undergo the task at the command of the superior.

“My wife is sleeping. Wait till he wakes up and you feed him. And also, have him call me when he's up.” That's what Karan told Anna. There was certainly no threat tendency in her sentence, which inexplicably changed when Anna presented it to Raya a few hours later.

If there were no problems in the company, Karan would not go to the office early in the morning. Fortunately he had an expert security team so that in less than three hours, the movement of traitors his company has been seen. Karan company is unique compared to other companies. In addition to CCTV in visible places, the company also places surveillance cameras in places that CCTV cannot reach, which of course is unknown to its employees. Only a few people know about the location of the camera, other than Karan and Ian.

“You sure know what happened to the company now. So I don't want to talk anymore. Quickly provide the latest design for our products next month. There's not much time. I hope we can decide this morning.”

That's how Karan started his emergency meeting that morning. There is not a single employee who is not stressed in this situation. All under pressure from being chased by time. They were also angry and berated the traitor who had been snatched by the police. If only design leaks hadn't occurred, they wouldn't have worked this hard.

In the middle of high pressure that's a cell phone ringing. Everyone looked at each other to find out who the person who dared to turn on the ringing of a cell phone was in such a precarious meeting. Karan did not realize it at all. However, when Ian reminded him, Karan only realized that the voice was coming from his phone.

“Ha-hello.”

Raya talks nervously at the end of the call. Sontak Karan grinned. Without even looking at it he already knew how his wife's current expression was. The woman must have been upset to be asked to contact him. But because he had no choice, Raya finally obeyed him.

“You're up?” karan said that he did not expect at all to ask like that. Not only was everyone in the room shocked, Karan felt Raya was jolted there when she heard his words. There is no dear or my wife in that sentence. It seems Karan regretted his actions a little last night so he wanted to be normal with his wife.

“Ya,” reply Fast.

Karan added, “Anna has delivered lunch for you?” Karan's right hand was raised so that the employees who were presenting in front of him stopped talking for a moment.

“Ya, already.”

“I'll be home late at night. Don't wait for me.”

The woman was silent for a moment, probably thinking Karan's words were quite strange. However, he replied, “Alright.”

“OK, I have to continue my work. Finish your food and rest enough.” Karan guessed his wife was eating from the faint sound of clashing teeth being heard. It means the woman is chewing something. When Karan saw that his watch was already showing lunch time, he concluded that his wife was eating her lunch right after the woman woke up.

“Ya.”

The conversation closed with a short answer. Karan exhaled slowly, then he put down his phone again. “After this presentation is finished, we take a break 30 minutes before decision making,” Karan told his employees.

Everyone in the room responded in unison. “Iya Pak.”

Of all the people who were there, Ian was the one who was most confused by Karan's situation. Whereas before this, Karan was the one who insisted on continuing to hold meetings until they got the end result, which is a new product design. But in an instant, Karan also changed his decision.

Could it be because of the Kingdom? It could be because Karan looks more relaxed after talking to the woman. The frown on the man's forehead had already begun to loosen, and Ian also briefly saw a single slanted smile on Karan's face. Maybe Karan is in the stage of turning into a better man. A man who wants to treat Raya like a husband treats his wife. More like a human.

However, Ian did not want to expect too much for Karan's change. According to him, Karan is a figure that is difficult to change his attitude and behavior. The man is also good at camouflaging with his acting that exceeds the big screen artist. Besides Ian, Raya and the people who work at home, no one will realize that Karan is putting on a mask as a good man who is loved by the people of Indonesia.

Ian did not know what the problem was, but he was sure Karan still had such wounds on Raya. If the man doesn't finish his past well, it's hard for Ian to believe that Karan has changed.
