A Few Meters

Karan came out of the bathroom after cleaning his body. Today it is quite tiring for the man because his activity is quite solid. Could he have escaped again?

“Luca?” karan shouted while frowning in disbelief. As the boy approached him and asked to be carried, Karan lifted his body and sat him in his lap. “Why are you here? And ... are you alone?” Karan looks around, trying to find an adult figure who looks to be looking for Luca. But the result is nil. Luca actually walked alone there because not a single visitor there left their seats.

“I'm not alone. I was with Daddy, but Daddy went with his guest. I saw Uncle come in here, so I followed Uncle,” said Luca easily explaining his chronology to the restaurant.

Luca's words sound true but incomplete. Maybe Edgar was busy with his business partner, but there was no way the man would leave Luca alone. There must be something here. Luca looks like he's hiding something. The boy always took his eyes off when he was dishonest to Karan. The thing Karan realized after three encounters accidentally with him.

“So you came here by yourself? You're not with Nanny?”

“I went with Nanny, but ..” Luca draped both of his hands to Karan's neck, hugging the man tightly. “ ... but I don't want to be with Nanny. I'd like to be with Uncle here.”

Karan cannot take Luca's hand off his body because the boy hugs him tightly. In addition, Karan felt no objection to what Luca was doing as if he had gotten used to the boy's existence. “Alright, but can you take your hand off Uncle? You have to sit properly to be with Uncle.”

“You want this ‘kan? Eat,” Karan. The man smiled as he looked at Luca's sparkling eyes.

“Thank you Uncle. Welcome to,” save Luca. Although the child is naughty and often makes it difficult for parents because they often roam unattended, Luca is still a polite child. He didn't forget to thank me for what he got. It seems that the upbringing of both parents is very good even though their supervision of Luca is very bad.

Looking at Luca's messy face from having finished one piece of his chocolate cake, Karan spontaneously picked up a tissue and wiped the cookie crumbs around Luca's mouth. “How does it feel? What's good?”

Luca nodded his head. “Yes, I really like cake!”

Karan who felt anxious finally ruffled the top of Luca's head. “Good. Whenever we meet again, Uncle will buy you cake and ice cream.”

The boy looked enthusiastic. He quickly thrust the little finger of his right hand in front of Karan. “Uncle appointment?”

Karan doesn't know when he will meet Luca again, but he really wanted to buy the boy more sweets so he welcomed Luca's little finger by linking it with his little finger. “Ya, Uncle promise,” said the man. “But now can we go find Daddy? Uncle sure Daddy will be worried looking for you.”

Luca nodded quickly. After gulping down a glass of mineral water, he got down from his chair towards Karan's chair. “Come Uncle! I'm sure Daddy is now in the lobby of this hotel,” he said, holding the CEO's hand.

“OK, but for a moment, Uncle can't let you roam again,” Karan said as he carried Luca. He could not let Luca slip from his sight because it would be very difficult if he lost the boy.

After paying the bill, Karan takes Luca to the place where he thinks his father is. While in the elevator, Karan asks Luca again. “Why did you follow Uncle to the restaurant?”

Without hesitation Luca replied, “Because I like Uncle.”

Karan has often received love confessions from many parties since he was a teenager. In High School alone there are many girls who like him and openly express their feelings for Karan. However, other than hearing Raya's feelings, Karan's heart was completely unshaken. He's not interested in them at all.

But today, Karan feels different from his heart. He suddenly felt happy just hearing a fond confession that Luca conveyed. Not a woman, but a four-year-old boy who was able to thrill Karan again. The man was happy and moved. After the many cruel things he did to Raya and their dead child, he did not expect that there would be anyone who liked him. Of course Karan will never forget the precious moment today.

“Thank you Luca, Uncle also likes you,” I'm Karan.

After delivering that, the elevator door opened which led them to the hotel lobby. Just as Karan stepped out of the elevator, his eyes widened to see a beautiful woman who was only a few dozen meters away from where he was standing now. The figure that Karan missed so much for five years.

“Raya?” karan muttered involuntarily.
