As soon as I read that part, Ian got out of his car. Now he knows what makes Karan like that, how Karan was treated first and what happened to him. Although what Ian imagined in his head was not necessarily true, but at least that was the big picture he could get after reading the email. Karan doesn't like women. It is fitting that he only chased after the Kingdom for dozens of years until this moment. It was fitting for the man to always say that Raya was his cure from pain.

It's all true. Karan did not exaggerate just because he did not want to part from Raya. For Karan, Raya is his life. The man had even willingly surrendered himself to replace Raya at a time when he still had a choice to escape. Karan is still unable to get close to other women except his ex-wife. He felt disgusted, and the reason for his disgust was now known by Ian. It has everything to do with what happened almost two decades ago. An incident that still harbors such a great trauma on Karan.

Ian stepped up quickly. If the atmosphere in the hotel was not filled with many people, he would choose to run to the room where Karan stayed. Could it be that their relationship was getting more complicated after today's meeting?

“Pak, it's me, Ian. Please open the door for a moment Sir!” Ian spoke while banging on Karan's room door. On the other hand, his hand just kept moving, looking for a contact Kingdom that he could contact. Her former employer's number changed from her number five years ago. It is only natural because Raya no longer lives in Indonesia. It's strange that she still uses it.

So, Ian contacted the new manager of the Kingdom. The manager who accompanied Raya for these five years. Fortunately, Ian had been looking for basic information about Raya, especially the address of the management office and the phone number of the manager. Karan did not ask for it, but Ian was sure that the information he gathered would be useful to him. Ian's beliefs are also true.

“Pak, if you do not open the door immediately, I will open it by force,” Ian said again. However, there is no answer at all. Ian decided to contact the manager.

It took about a minute for the manager to pick up Ian's phone call. As soon as the voice sounded from across the street, Ian briefly introduced himself. “My name is Ian, Karan Reviano personal assistant from Reviano Group Indonesia company. Can I talk to Mother Kingdom Drisana?”

“Pardon me, Ibu Raya is with her family and does not want to be disturbed. If there is anything to say, you can say it to me,” said the manager. The woman must have mistaken Ian's purpose in contacting her. He thought Ian was looking for Raya to offer him a contract of cooperation. Understandably Raya is a model. Although not too famous as before, it is still a model that several companies are looking for to work with. Especially now that the status of Raya has become a mother. The woman could attract a market of mothers who are now being massively used many products.

Ian immediately denied. “No, I don't want to talk about business. Eum, I mean, I'd like to speak personally with Mother Raya. It's about Karan Reviano's safety, his ex-husband.” The man tried to explain it even though it sounded very strange. There is no obligation for Raya to care for Karan anymore. Their status is not a married couple. However, Ian had no choice but to ask for help from the supermodel.

The silence from the end of the call made Ian panic. “Hallo! Are you listening to me?” he asked while keeping his phone away from his ear, figuring out if the call was still connected.

“Yes, I understand. Please wait a minute!” replied the manager of the Kingdom in the end.

Ian waited while trying to knock again on Karan's room door. Actually he can not do this for too long because it will interfere with the surrounding barrier. So, Ian must immediately make Karan open the door before the other occupants rebuke him.

“Hallo, this is my Kingdom,” said someone from the end of Ian's phone call.

Not finished Ian spoke, Karan had already opened the door of his room. The man's look was so appalling. His eyes turned red, his face grew even paler and sweat flooded his body. The most surprising thing was when it was seen some nail scratches on Karan's neck that had not previously existed. Did Karan do it himself? Could it be that the man started to hurt himself again?

“Hallo Ian, what did you say earlier?” Kingdom's soft voice rang out again which stifled Ian.

When Ian wanted to answer Raya, Karan spoke first. With his eyes, the man threatened the assistant. “Turn off the phone now if you want to log in. But otherwise, I won't let you see me again,” she said with a tinge of emphasis on her quivering lips.

Ian had no other choice. The goal is to ensure Karan's safety. Now he had to make the man calm down first by being around him. After that, he could think of another way.

“Ah, no Ma'am. Its alright. It's good now. Sorry to bother you, good afternoon,” said Ian. Then without further explanation, the man turned off his call. “You're okay, Sir?” asked Ian to Karan.

Karan stepped in while talking, “Calm down, I have no intention of dying now.” He moved to the table to get the mineral water in the glass.

Ian followed Karan's steps. Other than Karan's tie and suit being splattered on the floor, there was nothing strange about the room. Everything seems normal. “Thank God then.”

“Why did you contact Raya?” lontar Karan with a full tone of inquiry.

“Sorry Sir, but I was really worried about your condition.”

“Do I need to contact Raya?”

“Ya?” Ian was surprised to hear that.

Karan let out a long sigh after sipping the glass of mineral water directly. “Other times do not contact Raya again no matter what. Even if you see me sprawled and near death, don't disturb Raya.”

As it turns out, there is something going on between Karan and Raya today. Before their meeting, Karan looked so cheerful and excited. The man even wanted to do many things to prepare for their meeting. But after the meeting, instead of being happy, Karan actually displayed a face full of sadness like now.

“But Mother Kingdom is your wound healing remedy, Sir. You need him.” Ian tried to remind Karan of the importance of Raya in the man's life.

“Yes, she is everything to me and I need her the most. But, Raya doesn't need me, Ian. That woman no longer needs me by her side.” Ian's confused face was understandable to Karan. Just like it seems, Ian must still consider Raya does not have a partner. In fact, not only a couple, Raya even already has a child with her partner. “Raya is married and has a child. So, Raya doesn't need me anymore in her life.”
