The next night at the same time, Lin again knocked on Nate's door and waited until the man answered from the inside.

At that moment, Nate had just finished answering his phone and turned to face the woman. He was still wearing his reading glasses and immediately smiled broadly.

The woman smiled back and entered the room.

"Sit down, Lin."

The man sat on a separate sofa and directed Lin to sit on the long sofa that was beside him.

"So, what's your plan tonight?"

"I want to try something."

Nate watched Lin reach into something from his trouser pocket. The woman held the object out on the table, pushing it slightly towards the man in front of her.

Frowning, the man picked up the object given by Lin.

"What's this?"

The man asked, when he realized that the thing in his hand was a long piece of black cloth, the material of which was quite thick. He also smelled a strong perfume.

"I want to test your sense of smell."

The woman was slightly pounding in the heart. He wanted to test his suspicions against the man.

Looking at Lin, Nate looked confused. "How is it?"

"You close your eyes with that cloth, and I'll come near you."

The man fell silent. To be honest, there was a hint of worry in his heart that Lin would suspect something about him later on. Nate's senses were much more sensitive than most people, even long before he became what he is today.

His sense of smell seemed to increase sharply, because when Lin changed position slightly, then Nate's head was seen following the direction of his movement.

Slowly, the blood on Lin's face began to disappear and was replaced by a strong sense of fear. He realized this 'what' man in front of him.

"Nate?"

Finally the woman could speak. His tone sounded astonished.

Relieved, Nate asked again, "You're okay, right?"

Shaking his head, Lin instead scrutinized the face of the man opposite him who looked like he always did. Only his eyes were blackened.

"You realize, Nate?" Lin asked back, astonished.

"Yes. I was out of control, but when I felt you" He fell silent.

Nate had almost explained something that would definitely be very suspicious for the woman. He does not want to take any further risks. He still wanted to be with Lin.

"Nate?" Lin asked back when he saw the man in front of him suddenly fall silent.

The man just stared at her in silence, and slowly Lin saw his eyes return to their original color. He was fully aware.

"Lin? You're not afraid of me, are you?" The man asked slowly.

Hearing Nate's question, Lin looked at him right in his eyes.

"Frankly, I don't know Nate. Because I already know you're 'what'."

The woman's words made Nate close her eyes. The worry has happened.

The man tried his luck once again, he did not want to hesitate in interpreting Lin's words. Who knows...

"I don't understand what you mean, Lin." Nate turned his face.

"Caum V. You're one of them, right?"

The man did not want to look at the woman in front of him. "When did you know?"

Sighing, Nate threw the black cloth softly onto the table. His head looks down. He still did not look at the woman.

Seeing the disappointment that was clearly etched on the man's face, made Lin's heart full of sadness. He knew exactly what Nate felt, because he felt it all his life.

The woman knew that the Vs had a very long lifespan, and most of them lived in loneliness until death came to pick her up.

"To be honest, I was scared of you, Nate."

Nate clenched both of his hands tightly. He looked out into the darkness of the night outside.

"I knew. I felt it."

The woman looked at Nate with a questioning look.

"Why did you realize?"

The man only shook his head briefly. "I don't know. But when I felt you were so scared, suddenly my consciousness just came back."

"Oh! So that's why."

Lin's sudden cry, made Nate turn to him. "the reason?"

The face of the woman in front of him looked bright and excited.

Lin seemed to be smiling widely at him. Her face looked extremely beautiful in Nate's eyes, leaving the man speechless.
