Epilogues

Flashback 3 years ago.

The situation looks chaotic in the FA department. Everyone seemed busy and everything was tense. There has been a precarious situation and it can threaten their survival in the company.

The leakage of the flow of funds this time is really big, and any personnel involved in the creation of the financial statements will most likely be witnesses or if unlucky, he said, will be a bum in less than 5 hours.

The external audit team actually uses its maximum authority, which has been given directly by the company's top brass.

The only one who seemed unsettled was a junior employee named Alina Johan. The woman seemed to be sneaking out of the room while carrying something.

Slowly, he directed his steps towards the elevator and pressed a button to head up. As soon as the elevator door opened, he entered and pressed the button to the 60th floor.

Getting there, Lin headed to the officer who was there.

"Good day."

"Good afternoon. Can I help you?"

Slightly hesitant, Lin finally established himself.

"Are you able to escort me to the assistant room of the President?"

The officer clenched his forehead. He's a little suspicious.

"What do you need to do there?"

"There's an important document that I have to hand over to him."

"You can leave it to me."

Hugging the document in his chest, Lin shook his head firmly.

"I have to hand it over myself."

"alright. But, I have to check it out first."

"sorry. I can't let you read it, so I can just show you."

Clenching his mouth tightly, the attendant finally relented and nodded.

"good. Please show me."

Opening the envelope, Lin took out a stack of documents he had brought along. All the sheets were facing backwards, making the attendant completely unable to figure out the contents.

The officer nodded back and allowed Lin to enter.

"Please come with me."

Slowly, the woman followed the officer who finally stopped in a room that read 'Marcus C. - Assistant President Director'.

The man knocked on the door slowly and waited. He did it several times and finally his gaze turned to the woman behind him.

"Sir Marcus doesn't seem to be in place."

This time, Lin started to look agitated. He had to immediately hand over this document because otherwise, many innocent people would be the victims.

"I have to hand it over right now. Can I put it inside?"

Hesitating, the officer finally slowly opened the door of Marcus' room.

"You can put him on his desk there."

A bit of a small run, Lin directly headed there and placed that important document on the table. Finished doing her duty, the woman immediately approached the officer.

"You're sure he'll take it, right? No one will be able to take that document from this room?"

The officer pointed at the CCTV located at the end of the room.

"You don't worry. This room is equipped with CCTV and only he can access it."

Breathing a sigh of relief, the woman finally smiled.

"thank you. Then, excuse me first."

Just as he was stepping towards the exit, the officer suddenly called out to him.

"Miss. What's your name? Who knows if he's asking."

"Alina Johan."

After that, Lin immediately headed for the elevator and accidentally collided with a tall man who had just stepped out of the elevator.

Lowering her head, the woman apologized without raising her head. He went straight into the elevator, and had no idea who the man he had hit was.

Meanwhile, the man he had just hit seemed still stunned in place. His expression looked strange and curious, when he looked at the woman who had just left earlier.

When the man was still silent, the officer inside just returned to his post and saw the man who had just arrived.

"Oh. Good day, Mr. Marcus."

"Who's the woman who just left?"

"Women? Oh yes, there was a woman who left documents in your room, sir."

"What's his name?"

"Alina Johan."

"From what parts?"

"I'm sorry Mr. Marcus. I didn't ask you that."

Nodding his head stiffly, Marcus stepped into his room.

Arriving in his room, the cold man found a thick envelope on his desk. Curious, he opened it and read the contents.

Before long, the man sat in his chair and called someone.

"Hendrich, please bring a file of an employee named Alina Johan to my room."

Holding up his phone, he called someone back.

"Greyson. I have something to discuss with you. Please come to my room right now. And take Robert with you."
