'Lin, tonight we'll still meet, right?'
It had been a few minutes, Lin stared at his phone screen. Nate's question has not been answered. He's very confused right now.
If he answered yes, the woman did not know how his body would react to the man. To be honest, he was quite afraid that the incident in his apartment would repeat itself.
But if he answers no, it means he shows his cowardice to a man for the first time. And the thing is, Lin wasn't a coward all along.
The woman leaned her body into her work chair. He stared at the screen that looked blank and black.
He actually finished his entire job about 1 hour ago. When he was just about to run away, a chat from Nate suddenly came in and made him not come home.
The man seemed to know that Lin indeed wanted to meet him tonight.
Deciding on something, Lin finally typed on his phone.
'If I see, you don't seem to need my help, Nate. So I thought, we don't have to meet again.'
The reply from the man was long enough.
'I know that you avoided meeting me, Lin. But there's something important I want to talk to you about tonight.'
'You can say it through chat, Nate. We don't have to meet.'
Lin was still trying to be stubborn towards the man. He did not want to rape Nate just because he could not control himself later.
'Sorry, Lin. But I can't say it through chat. This is about what happened a few nights ago in your apartment.'
The deg!
Nate's words seemed to pierce him. Right now, that man is the victim and he's the criminal.
Lin closed his eyes which started to turn red. The thing he did to Nate even though it was the same thing that the man had done to him, still felt heavier.
At least when Nate attacked him, he could still show a little self-resistance. But when the same thing happened to that guy?
Nate can actually fight him, even hurt him. But the man tried to stay quiet and tend to resign, even though Lin knew that it was not desirable.
Lin's eyes felt wet. The first time he can feel comfortable with a man, for the first time he also hurt the same man.
At least Nate deserves to get justice. At the very least, that was what Lin could give her. Just like what Nate had given him back then.
'Alright. I'll see you in 30 minutes.'
'Ok Lin. I'll wait for you in the same place.'
Thirty minutes later, Lin had been standing in front of the door of Nate's room. Back and forth, the woman went forward and backward. Several times he also moved to knock on the door but did not.
While pecking at the door, Lin started to bite his finger. Maybe it's better not to come. He will give a reasonable reason to the man.
Lin was just about to turn around to leave, when the door suddenly opened.
Nate's head seemed to be pinching from within. His face looks bright.
"Lins. Come inside. I've been waiting for you."
Nate opened the door wider, allowing the woman in front of him to enter.
Actually Nate could already hear Lin's whereabouts in front of his door. However, he was willing to wait for the extent to which the woman would dare to enter. When he felt that Lin was going to retreat, he came out to greet him.
A little hesitant, Lin finally started entering the room. As much as possible he distanced his body to come into contact with Nate.
Clumsy, Lin stood in the middle of the room until Nate invited her to sit on the long sofa.
Lin just sat down and was about to start talking, when suddenly Nate decided to sit next to him.
Shocked, Lin immediately stood up and chose one of the single sofas in the room.
This behavior of the woman in front of him only made the man smile knot.
Unwilling to mince words, Lin immediately started their conversation that night.
"Nate, once again I want to apologize to you. I really don't know why I did that to you."
The woman gulped her saliva with great difficulty, when she remembered that she once had a malicious intention to avenge Nate's actions. His efforts never succeeded, until the events of that night in his apartment.
"If you... If you decide you want to take the legal path, then I'm willing to accept it."
Lin is not a coward. He is willing to accept whatever the consequences.
The expression of the man in front of him looked quite confused, he blinked his eyes.
"To be honest, I never intended to bother with that Lin at all. Because I did it to you too. So I don't think it's any good to bring up the matter anymore."
Lin's forehead frowned at hearing that. "But you don't want to meet because"
"Are you completely unwilling to know about the cause, Lin? Why did you get to do that? Just like I was then?"
Nate's eyes looked sharp and rained down on him. Demand the woman's answer.
The blood on Lin's face slowly subsided. In his mind, he thought that the man had started to suspect himself.
Seeing Nate's unmoved gaze, Lin became one hundred percent sure that Nate already knew 'what' he was.
Still unwilling to confess and trying to dodge, Lin refused to look at Nate.
"I'll use your words that Lin used to say, stop that nonsense. I'm sure you already know what I meant."
Those words made Lin fall silent. He looked up at the man, and tried to swallow the liquid in his throat that felt very dry.
"How do you know?" Finally the woman asked.
The eyes of the man in front of him had absolutely no judgmental expression. They even tend to be flat.
"I saw your change then. Just like me, both of your eyes are blackened and your fangs look elongated. Signs that are very clear."
Nate's words slightly surprised Lin. He was completely unaware of the change.
Nate's forehead frowned, while observing the face of the woman in front of him who looked a little shocked.
"You didn't realize it at all?"
The woman nodded slowly. "Absolutely not."
Nate leaned his back against the sofa behind him while crossing his arms. One of his long legs he spills neatly onto the other leg. He seems to think.
"That's weird. At least when I started to feel out of control, I could feel something strange and noticed a change in my body."
The man slightly advanced his body and placed one of his hands on his clean shaved chin. His fingers seemed to be tapping his chin slowly.
Glancing at the woman beside him, Nate asked back, "Is this the first time for you?"
Lin turned his head, looking at Nate right in both of his eyes. "Yes. It's the first time."
Nodding his head, Nate got up from his chair. He walked into his personal pantry. Looks like I made something there.
Not long after, the man brought back two cups with billowing white smoke.
He placed one of his cups in front of the woman.
"My own concoction. Try." The man smiled as he blinked one of his eyes.
Looking at the green tea cup in front of him, Lin blinked his eyes quickly. He did not expect that the man apparently liked the same drink as himself.
The taste of the tea was quite strong, signifying the characteristic features of the man. But after a while, it felt slightly softened and made Lin's stomach feel relaxed and calm.
Lin's expression looked astonished, making a smile rise from Nate's lips. He also just drank tea from his own cup with solemnity.
After his stomach felt comfortable, Lin turned his head back to Nate and fell silent. He saw the man in front of him licking the little remaining tea on his own lips slowly.
Lin's heart suddenly beat even stronger.
Unwanted, his eyes began to trace Nate's fingers as the man placed his cup on the table. The woman did not realize that her eyes were starting to blacken.
Sighing softly, the man turned his head towards Lin and his mouth felt faint.
The sight before him made his chest thump. Lin's eyes looked blackened and the woman's gaze focused on Nate's hand that was on his lap.
Slowly, Lin's eyes began to trace the man's body and stopped at his mouth. Nate gulped his saliva with great difficulty, which turned out that the movements of his junks were caught by the woman in front of him.
"Lin?" Slowly Nate called out to the woman in front of him.
Hearing the call, Lin's eyes blinked quickly.
"Lin? You all right?" Nate asked back in a softer tone.
That softly spoken question, seemed to be slightly resuscitating to Lin.
Lin's two eyes began to change color again, although his pupils still seemed to be enlarged and shrinking quite quickly. Like confusion.
When finally her pupils stopped at a size that was still quite large, the woman raised her head. Look at the man in front of him.
"Hem... Yea?"
Nate's gaze looked intense, as he asked back, "You okay?"
Lin's eyes twitched in confusion. But eventually, his wits seemed to start taking over, making his pupils and eye color return to normal.
"Yes. I'm fine, Nate." The woman's expression was like nothing had ever happened.
The man slightly let out the breath he was holding slowly. He felt relieved.
"OKAY. Continue the conversation earlier. I'm still wondering, is it true that what happened to me was the first time for you?"
Lin breathed out. It seemed, he should start being more honest with this man in front of him. This man was truly an unyielding person in search of information.
"Yes, Nate. Like I said, this is my first time. Because just like you, I can't stand being too close to a man."
The man's eyes were slightly rounded. "You mean..."
"While it's not as bad as you, I'd throw up too close to them."
For some reason, Nate's heart burst upon hearing this fact.
The woman means feeling comfortable enough to be around her, to be able to attack her. And it happens up to twice in the near future.
After thinking for a moment, the man turned to Lin again. He asked the next question carefully.
Do you know about your origin, Lin?"
