Madness

Madness
Chapter 71's

In the middle of the vast meadow, there was a figure of a woman who looked carefree running around. The woman laughed happily and her heart felt happy at this moment.

The happiness he felt at this moment really peaked. She feels like a lucky woman all over the world. This made him hum merrily while surrounding the flowers that were growing beautifully around him.

From a distance, he could see a middle-aged man walking up to him with a little girl.

Both of them were smiling very widely, revealing their white and neat teeth.

The woman recognized the man as her father, but she did not recognize the figure of the little girl who ran to him.

The little girl's long, brownish-red hair seemed to be waving in the wind as the boy ran. Makes her look like a cute little fairy.

Unexpectedly, the little girl jumped onto her lap and hugged her neck tightly while laughing happily.

"Mama!"

The call made the woman's heart beat happy. Both of his hands tightly hugged the girl's body that was attached to him.

He looked at the figure of the old man in front of him, who had not moved from his place at all. The man just looked at her with a smile and waved his hand. Slowly his figure began to disappear in the wind.

You must be happy, my daughter.

The words that rang out in his mind, made the woman smile again.

His attention turned to the little girl he was holding onto. Turning her body away, the woman observed the figure of the little boy in her arms.

The little girl had round eyes, just like her. Her lips were slightly thick, petite-looking and were a small version of her own.

The difference is the nose of the little boy. The woman's ears casually touched the tip of the girl's nose, making her laugh even more.

Both of the girls eyes were light gray. The pupils and outer circles of his eyes were black, clearly visible in both eyes.

The little boy's eyes reminded him of someone. Someone very close to him. Someone very important to him.

The woman scrunched her eyebrows together. He tried to remember the person.

Lin's.

The woman blinked her eyes when she heard the voice she missed so much. The voice of a deep and delicate man.

Lin's.

Looking at her, the woman could see the figure of a tall, black-haired man standing not far from her. The man was turning his back on him. It looks like the wind is gently flying his black hair and also the shirt he is wearing.

Carrying the girl in his arms, the woman tried to step closer to the figure of the man. But despite trying to get closer, but the man still could not be achieved.

The figure eventually turned around, revealing a handsome man wearing a work shirt, complete with a tie and a thick-looking vest. Her clothes looked neat and dapper, signifying her fairly high social class.

Looking at the man's face in front of her, the woman's heart rippled with a feeling of happiness as well as the desire to touch him.

It was like walking in place. He could not get close to the man in front of him. This made his heart slowly beat, and he started to feel uneasy.

He must touch the man. He needs to touch that guy!

The woman's breathing began to feel fast, as she felt anxiety begin to rise from her stomach.

When he saw it, the man seemed to smile. But it was not the smile of happiness that the woman saw, but rather the smile of sadness. His two light gray eyes looked sad and looked watery.

The woman looked at the figure of the man in front of her. He wanted to scream for the man to come closer, but his voice was stuck in his throat.

You must survive, Lin.

The voice sounded again, making the woman's head turn to the right and to the left, but she did not find the figure of the person who was talking.

Take care of our son.

Closing her eyes, the woman finally realized that the voice came from the figure of the man standing with a sad look in front of her.

Keep in mind. I always loved you.

Suddenly, the figure of the man turned into a shadow that approached him. The man's lips touched her forehead gently, giving her a loving kiss.

The shadow of the man was seen hovering in front of him, and slowly began to disappear.

I love you so much, Lin. Remember that.

Panicking, the woman tried to hold back the man's shadow and only managed to grasp the wind in front of her.

The figure of the man had disappeared, leaving himself with the little girl who was now crying in his arms.

The woman's feelings were mixed. Both of his eyes started to heat up, and let out water.

The woman screamed with all her might in her heart. But, he was simply unable to let out his voice at this moment.

The woman almost went crazy, when she felt something in her hand trying to reach the man. Opening it, he saw a bright blackish-blue ring with a single sapphire-blue stone in the center.

Approaching the ring to her face, the woman could see the graffiti inscribed along her inner circle.

Nathanael D' Axelle.

Nate?

"Nate!"

Lin seemed to open both of his eyes slowly. The woman felt tears flowing down her cheeks. Opening her eyes, she realized she had been dreaming and shouted her husband's name.

Looking around him, Lin knew that he was currently in his own bedroom. He raised his hand and wiped his tears. What did he dream of crying like this?

And how did he get here? Didn't he drive his car to the office this morning?

Recalling the recent incident, the woman immediately set her eyes on her own stomach and was relieved to realize that the baby was still safe in its place.

Sighing her breath, the woman rubbed her stomach gently and could feel her baby's heart beating strongly, making her smile.

From the tail of his eyes, Lin noticed that someone was lying next to him.

Looking up, she saw the figure of her husband who seemed to be sleeping quietly. As usual, the side profile of her face looks perfect.

The man's skin seemed to glow, because of the dazzling sunlight coming from the bedroom window that was not covered by a curtain.

Inching closer, the woman smiled at her husband. She wanted to disrupt her husband's sleep and wake him up.

Getting closer, Lin sensed that there was a strangeness from the figure of her husband who was still sleeping.

Before she could touch her husband, she felt something holding her left hand and saw an infusion needle pricking her skin.

Frowning, his gaze led to an infusion hose and stared at the empty blood bag, hanging above the head of his bed.

The woman immediately and impatiently removed the infusion tube that held her to draw near to her husband.

His eyes blinked, as he realized the remaining drops of blood from the needle were shiny black. Not the usual color of blood.

His nose slowly recognized the black scent of blood. This scent belonged to her husband. He knew it well, for it was this scent that first made him infatuated with the man and almost raped him at that moment.

What the hell's going on? Why did she get a transfusion from her own blood?

Slightly throwing the needle at the bedside table, Lin turned her attention back to the figure of her husband who was still at home asleep.

Her forehead frowned, when she realized that her husband had not awakened at all when the time was enough during this time.

Back inching closer to her husband, Lin's eyes blinked rapidly as she finally could see clearly the figure of her husband lying down at this moment.

The man looked neatly lying. Both of his arms were folded stiffly over his stomach. His legs looked straight and stuck to each other.

The thing that surprised the woman was her husband's skin that looked very pale to gray. It had a very clear gray streak under the surface of his skin.

The face of the man was the same. Underneath his eyes was blackened, and a gray mass of veils seemed to grace the man's cheeks, neck and forehead. His lips also looked dark gray.

Just this time, Lin saw her husband's face this pale, making the woman start to worry.

Quickly, she touched her husband's hand and unexpectedly, the woman looked startled and distanced her hand.

Trembling, Lin brought her palms closer and touched her husband's fingers.

The fingers were cold and very stiff.

Slowly, the woman's hand lifted and rubbed her husband's cheek. The woman again felt the man's extremely cold body temperature, and his skin felt stiff.

The woman's eyes twitched uneasily and were filled with mixed emotions at this moment.

Lin's heart was racing, and his breathing began to feel fast.

Intrigued, he brought his head closer to the unconscious man's chest and his eyes began to heat up. He heard Nate's extremely slow heartbeat and his faint-sounding breathing. The man sounded barely breathing.

She recalled the words of her husband some time ago, if the man would fall asleep like a statue while undergoing the process of hibernation. But, is it really like this? Is this normal?

Although never knew about the hibernation of a V but as a wife, Lin was very sure that her husband's condition was not right at this time.

Lin finally clasped tightly onto her husband's hand that was cold as ice. He tried to get a little warmth out of his skin. Her eyes looked at her husband's face that looked pale like a corpse.

"Nate..."
