Meanwhile, the phone on Marcus' desk suddenly rang loudly. This is quite disturbing to the man who was seriously reviewing some of the financial statements that he had previously discussed together with his superiors this morning.

"Hello." His hoarse voice showed dislike for having been disturbed while working.

"Good night, Mr. Marcus. I'm with Donald, sorry to bother you."

Donald is the man's secretary, replacing Jon who was mutated to one of the other countries.

Realizing the one who called was his secretary, Marcus glanced at the watch on his left hand.

"What's up, Don? Didn't you go home?"

"Barusan, I got a call from a representative of Allard Corp. Of them asking to meet with you, related to the incident this morning."

Gendering his back on his chair, the man's eyebrows shot up. This fast?

"What do they want to talk about?"

"They don't want to say it in person, but they ask for your time to meet first to discuss it. They'll bring in his lawyer's representative."

Marcus recalled the fat man who had dared to threaten him this morning, inside the lobby of his own company.

The cold man had ordered people outside the office to investigate the man named Mark Adler, and found out that he was just a person with ordinary abilities, but it has a mouth and a very venomous way of working.

Mark has been married several times, and with similar cases of domestic violence. But considerable compensation money was given to his former wives, making this muffled and buried very deep.

The man is currently in a divorce proceedings with Lucy and is fighting over custody of their child.

The lawyer's personal track record is chaotic, but the problem is that he was able to win several cases involving profits from the company he worked for, making him quite a place in his current profession.

"Sir Marcus?" Donald the secretary asked back, when his superior was still silent.

"When did they ask to meet?"

"So they asked for your schedule on Monday Sir, considering tomorrow is already the weekend end."

"Don. I changed my mind. Please speed up the meeting so tomorrow and send me to meet them in person. Ask them what they want, and-"

Marcus clenched his free hand. In his heart, he wished for the best.

"Investigate who owns Allard Corp."

After that, he turned off his phone.

Still looking at the darkness of the night before him, Marcus could only hope that what he was thinking at the moment would not come true later.

At the same time, Lin still seemed to have not yet responded to Nate's question.

He was still in the stage of trying to perfectly absorb all the information he had just received from the man.

And now, back must be faced with the fact that the father he has never met only has 6 months left to live?

Seeing the woman in front of him still speechless, Nate tried to urge him.

The man was forced to slightly force Lin, as he wanted the matter to be resolved soon. Especially since he also still had personal problems with the father of this woman he liked.

"Lin? You hear me?"

Closing his eyes, Lin slightly nodded.

"Yes. Yep. I heard, Nate."

Nate slightly squeezed Lin's shoulder back, trying to encourage her to make a decision immediately.

"So. How'd you decide?"

Lin's face looked wrinkled and slightly reddened. Inwardly, Nate felt a little guilty but at this moment, he was already unwilling to be patient anymore.

He might still be able to wait for the blooming of Lin's feelings on him, but to be able to make sure that Lin remained by his side? He can no longer be patient.

He's been waiting too long. He should mark this woman immediately.

"My whole life, I've believed that I'm an unwanted child. Even my mother once intended to abort me."

He lifted his head, trying to hold back his tears.

"You know what it's like, Nate? He even said it at the end of his life."

The woman's words made Nate unable to hear her anymore. He pulled Lin's body and hugged her tightly.

"He never even looked at me when he spoke. Never once hugged me. I never knew what it was like to have a mother."

All his life, only Nate ever showed what it was like to be loved by someone. Lin was completely new to being able to feel at ease having a physical closeness with someone, when being with that man.

Lin squeezed Nate's shoulder firmly. He really needed the strength of someone right now.

"What if my father never wanted me? He even left me when I was still not born into the world. What if she really hates me?"

That question made Nate slightly distanced her body. He held both sides of Lin's head and looked at him right in both of his eyes.

"What if it's the other way around? What if your father really wanted your presence? What are you gonna do?"

"But he left me, Nate. She left me when I was even in the womb!"

Slowly, Nate wiped the tears of the woman in front of him. He also gave a deep kiss to the two eyes of Lin who was still releasing water.

Lastly, Nate kissed her forehead. His lips were still on Lin's forehead when he asked.

"Aren't you going to find out?"

Nate looked back at the woman and held both sides of her head.

"Aren't you going to give me an explanation? At least you'll get the answers you've been looking for all this time, even though it might make you sick."

Nate's words were slowly getting into his brain, making Lin's tears start to stop flowing down his cheeks. He opened his eyes.

"You've been given a chance to find out, Lin. And straight from the source. Are you sure you want to leave this opportunity?"

Lin's tears completely stopped. At this time, the woman's logic began to run in place of the emotional side that had previously appeared to the surface.

Breathing out, Lin finally dared to stare at the man in front of him.

"Can I really meet him?"

The man in front of him nodded his head steadily. His lips were smiling faintly.

"If you want, I'll accompany you."

Lin was still unsure of his feelings for Nate. But he knew for sure that at this time his heart really felt relieved and happy to hear the words of the man.

He rubbed Nate's cheek, and stroked his lips slowly. When she looked at her mouth, she thought that she could always say something that made her feel calm.

The woman never felt judged before her and felt accepted for who she was.

Gently, Lin gave a brief kiss to those lips and hugged her body tightly.

"Thank you, Nate." His sigh sounded relieved when Lin took it out.

Stunned by the incident just now, making Nate only able to return the hug a moment later. Closing both eyes, his heart prayed.

He prayed that he would truly find his soul mate by this time. And hopefully, Lin will immediately return his feelings.
