Without notice, the plane had landed smoothly at one of the airports in the Lofoten archipelago. After the plane stopped completely, the four men immediately got off the plane through a special door.
There was already a beautiful woman waiting for them at the airport. The woman's blonde hair was waving in the strong wind that afternoon.
"Felix!"
The woman's hand was waving cheerfully, especially at the blond man who was pushing Johan's chair.
"Rosilene."
Unexpectedly, the woman named Rosaline jumped towards Felix and hugged the man tightly.
"I miss you."
Both of Felix's hands tightly hugged the woman's body in his arms.
"I miss you too."
After being satisfied to hug the tall man, Rosaline turned to the old man who was sitting in the wheelchair. He smiled at Johan who had just met him for the first time.
"I'm sorry for my impoliteness, Master Johan. My name is Rosaline. I will host you as long as you are guests in this Lofoten archipelago. Welcome to here."
Johan's hand shook tightly to Rosaline. He liked women who had this great energy and seemed excited.
The old man smiled, and slightly tilted his head.
"How old are you, Rosaline?"
Rosaline was a little surprised to hear that question. Hesitating, he turned to Felix and bit his lips slightly.
Seeing that, Felix's hand immediately touched the woman's mouth.
"Don't be bitten, you'll bleed. Just answer the question, Ine. Its alright. He's already I consider as my own master."
Felix's words made the woman's green eyes glow dazzlingly.
"My age is exactly 522 years, Master. Just last month I had a birthday."
"Your creator is Master Laurent?"
Rosaline nodded her head excitedly.
"Yes. He helped me when I was dying."
"Have you ever been sick?"
"Yes. Blood cancer. Just because I helped him before, he felt indebted to me. Therefore, he changed me when I was about to die in the clinic."
Johan nodded his head. He knew Adrian Laurent well enough as a compassionate man, making him vulnerable enough to help people who actually had other intentions.
"You're Felix's partner?"
Rosaline's eyes blinked rapidly. "I-"
"Better, we'll go to your cabin, Rosaline. Master Johan is already quite tired from this long journey." Felix suddenly cut off the woman's words.
Rosaline's head alternately looked at the two men in front of her. He felt Felix was being disrespectful to the old man but on the other hand, he was also quite uncomfortable being interrogated like this.
Seeing that Felix was quite offended by his attitude, Johan smiled at them.
"I'm sorry if it made you uncomfortable. It's just that, my age soon, makes me curious enough about things I never cared about."
Johan's words awaken Felix. It was only natural that the old man wanted to know about the lives of those younger than him.
"I'm sorry, Master. I didn't mean to" at all"
Johan's hand lifted, stopping Felix's unnecessary apology.
"No. Don't be like that, Felix. I'm the one who should apologize here. You don't have to explain anything to me."
Not long after, Nate was walking towards them. The man had just finished calling his wife and took the location a little apart from the others.
"Nathanael. Meet me, this is Rosaline. He's the one who's gonna host us here."
Smiling, Nate tightly shook the woman's hand that was outstretched at him.
"My name is Nathanael. Thank you for your hospitality."
The woman smiled very widely, and her two green eyes again shone dazzlingly bright.
"Don't you think so. I'm so happy to host handsome men like you in my humble home."
The woman's words made Felix grip her slim waist and slightly pull her away.
"What are you doing?"
Although whispering, but Felix's voice can still be heard by Nate who has sharp ears.
"What am I really doing?"
Rosaline whispered back and shrugged both of her shoulders indifferently.
"You-you"
"Sorry, I'm a little late. I have something to take care of."
Marcus' hoarse voice stopped the debate of the two. Rosaline immediately broke free from Felix's grip and approached the newly arrived man.
"Welcome to Lofoten. My name is Rosaline."
Marcus stared flatly at the woman in front of him, and slowly returned his handshake.
The man's reaction made Rosaline smile very widely, and her eyes re-lit.
"If I'm not mistaken, your name is Marcus, right?"
Pulling his hand slowly, Marcus looked at the woman in surprise.
"How do you know?"
"Of course I know. I-Hmmh!"
Unexpectedly, Felix smothered the woman's mouth in his arms. The man looked wrong in front of his guests.
"Don't mind him. Your business is done, Marcus?"
This sight left Marcus a little surprised. Just this time, he saw Felix who looked relaxed and uncharacteristic. The man looked like a normal man in general in the presence of the woman.
"Yes. I asked Kevin to replace his crew with others. We don't have to worry about the same disturbance coming home."
"Hmm!?"
Rosaline's fingers gripped and patted the hand of Felix who was smothering him. Trying to let go of it in vain.
"We better get going. Excuse me. Nathanaelite. Marcus. It seems, I should ask for your help to serve Master Johan for a while. You don't mind, do you?"
Trying to hold back her smile, Nate nodded and immediately grabbed hold of Johan's chair.
"of course. Don't worry Felix."
"OKAY. Let's get out of here."
While dragging Rosaline in his arms, Felix directed the five of them to immediately head to the minivan the woman had prepared outside the airport.
Later that night, the three guests were in their rooms to rest. They plan on going to the meadow at the end of the Reine tomorrow morning.
Seeing the condition of Johan is better, the three plan to invite the old man to reminisce first with this place.
Although the weather was getting cold, but the man was seen wearing quite thin clothes. The wind was seen flying her fine blonde strands.
Taking a deep breath, the woman took the blanket from the sofa they were sitting on earlier and followed Felix into the courtyard.
"What are you doing here?"
Rosaline's voice made Felix turn his head. His face looks grim.
"none. I was just thinking."
Rosaline held out the blanket she held onto the man.
"The weather's getting cold. You better put this blanket on."
The man chuckled softly, but he still accepted it. "Thank you, Ine."
For a moment the two fell silent in silence. The sky above them looked dark, and only reflected a few stars that night, signaling that the weather was quite cloudy up there.
"What are you thinking?" Rosaline asked quietly after they had been silent for quite a while.
"We."
Felix's reply made Rosaline clasp tightly onto the blanket that covered her body.
"We?"
Felix's head looked at the woman, who was tall enough for her size. The seeds reached Felix's ears.
"My age is less than 200 years away. I-"
Suddenly the woman in front of him chuckled softly.
"Don't look for a lot of excuses, Felix. Just tell me what your decision is."
"I think you better find another man to be your partner. Couples who will be on your side longer. A much better couple than me."
Rosaline's face was still staring straight ahead, towards the vast ocean. He did not look at the man beside him.
Felix's answer was long expected, but the man was too kind to express his honesty all along. Whether this is a gift or a disaster for him.
A faint smile appeared on her beautiful lips. He still did not look at the man.
"I understand."
Rosaline's calm words somehow began to cause pain in Felix's chest. She thought she would be angry and questioned her decision, as she usually does. This unexpected reaction made the man freeze.
"You got it?" Felix's voice sounded a little choked.
Rosaline's hand slipped the messy strands of her hair from being blown by the wind. He finally looked at the man beside him.
"I've understood Felix for a long time, since 300 years ago. Without you having to reach the limit of your age, I already knew that there would never be a word 'we' in your dictionary."
Rosaline's words that were said so smoothly pierced Felix's heart.
"Rosaline"
Both of Rosaline's eyes, which usually glowed dazzlingly, seemed to dim that night. It is slightly dark and looks watery.
"I'm sorry I've been burdening you all this time, but you don't worry. Ever since you decided to come here this year, I've also decided to let you go, Felix. I won't tie you up again."
Felix's eyes stared at the woman in front of him. Unwillingly, Rosaline's words begin to gnaw at her deepest heart she had never realized, for the woman.
"One-in"
"May I ask you something? For the first, and maybe the last time."
Felix's forehead frowned. Rosaline never asked for anything. "What's that?"
Rosaline's gaze descended upon Felix's thin lips. "I want to kiss you."
A strong wind suddenly blew, making the blanket they were wearing waved.
In the dimness of the night, Felix can stare at the silhouette of Rosaline's very pretty face with her slightly messy hair in her loop.
The man nodded slowly. "Please."
Slowly, one of the women's hands held Felix's shoulder and he brought his face closer to the man. Felix could feel her soft, fragrant breath.
With as light as cotton, Rosaline swept her beautiful lips against the man's lips. And just then, Felix felt an electrical vibration on his body without his desire.
The kiss was very short, and could not be said to be a kiss. Their lips just stuck together but the effect, making Felix's body stiff as a board.
All his life, the man had never been in a serious relationship. He is an adventurer and always looking for new things in his life, be it with women or men.
Although not a woman like Dominic, but he likes to experiment and not want to be tied down. In any aspect of his life.
He had only slightly organized his personal life when he met Rosaline 300 years ago. At that time, Felix finally stopped all free relationships with many people.
The man never knew the reason for his actions, which he obviously felt comfortable with the presence of Rosaline by his side. Makes him try to be a better man.
This is what also encouraged him to build The Onyx with a different business line away from his pride club so far. He wanted to spend his old age there and started to gradually give up his club.
During this time, Rosaline has always been a friend who will faithfully listen to her complaints about her clients are quite unique. The woman never divulged a single one of her secrets, and only thought of it as a bedtime story.
Even constantly, the man will visit Rosaline in his hometown and they will share life stories with each other. The two were in a platonic relationship, with no physical contact at all between men and women. Pretty strange relationship actually.
Their friendship had stretched, when Rosaline finally expressed her feelings for Felix. But the indirect rejection from the man, finally made Rosaline aware and began to retreat regularly.
The woman never brought up about it again, until one day Felix called her and would come to her decision. And this is that day.
When feeling Felix's stiff body, Rosaline's heart became very sad. So did not this man suspect himself, until he unconsciously rejected his kiss?
Rosaline finally let go of her grip on the man's shoulder and he retreated slowly.
"Thank you."
Rosaline's vision finally returned to its original form. His eyes looked bright green and shone in the darkness.
"From now on, you're free Felixander Osborne. Do what makes you happy, and I will always pray for your happiness. I thank you and feel lucky to have been your best friend all this time."
The man was still frozen in his position. His brain was empty and he could not think. The effect of the kiss still left him unable to move.
"Make this year a happy memory in your mind because I hope, this is the last time you come and see me here. Next time, you don't have to come back to find me and torture yourself again."
The sea breeze again blew, making Rosaline's hair loose and making the woman's hair flutter freely on her back.
"Goodbye Felixander Osborne."
After saying that, Rosaline turned around and stepped steadily towards her cabin. Leaving Felix still frozen in place.
Unwillingly, Felix's hand was raised wanting to grab the figure of the woman who was getting longer, further away from him.
"Strk..."
And that night, for the first time in his life in a rainstorm that began to fall, Felixander Osborne shed tears on his cheeks.
The water coming out of his wide open eyes could not be held back at all. The longer the flow on both cheeks.
Slowly but surely, Felix's heart has been gripped by Rosaline. And with his permission, the woman crushed him to pieces.
It was her stupidity that made her realize that, tonight.
The man's head bowed deeply and both his hands clenched. For hours, Felix was still in his position despite the heavy rain and thunderous lightning pouring down the earth on that very cold night.
Just this time in his long life, Felixander Osborne questioned the decision he had taken.
