Lin and Nate were seen preparing in one of the waiting rooms. Because this is not an ordinary marriage, then they do not perform rituals like marriage in general.
Lin was seen wearing a simple dress she had borrowed from Felix, and Nate was wearing only a suit-clad shirt she had worn earlier.
The two were seen sitting together, waiting to be called into the room.
Luckily Felixander Osborne is a versatile man. This magnificent building was often used for various V special events, one of which was a wedding.
Nate clasped Lin's hand on his lap, his gaze looking sad.
"I'm sorry Lin. I was planning a better wedding than today."
The woman smiled and rubbed Nate's cheek.
"It's okay Nate. I'm even happy that the show is closed like this. After all, neither of us will be able to hold a wedding openly, right?"
Nate kissed Lin's hand that he was holding. "Thank you Lin."
While being pensive, Lin suddenly recalled something.
"Oh yeah, Nate. You told dad earlier that you had marked me. What's that supposed?"
The man's head looked embarrassed. He rubbed Lin's hand on his lap.
"I've given you my essence, Lin."
"meaning?"
"In your body is flowing my fluids, making other men stay away because you've been marked."
"You marked me when we were in touch?" This still confused Lin.
The man nodded slowly. "I marked you when I bit you back then."
"Oh!" Wanta just remembered the incredible sensation he felt when Nate bit him. He did feel something was coming in, but did not pay much attention to it.
The woman nodded slowly.
The conversation halted when a knock came from the door. Felix was seen entering the waiting room.
"Nathanael. It's time."
Nate nodded and his gaze turned to Lin. The man kissed his woman's forehead and smiled.
"See you inside."
Reply smiling, Lin said, "See you later, Nate."
Not long after Nate came out of the room, Johan was seen entering the room.
The old man seemed to be waiting in front of the door that was still open. Johan's face looked very happy.
"Lin? You ready?"
With a sweet smile, Lin got up from her seat and walked over to her father.
The hands of the two clasped tightly together. "I'm ready, dad."
After that, the father-son couple entered a room that had been arranged in such a way by Felix. Various live flowers are seen adorning the corners of the room, spreading a soothing fragrant smell.
Lin's legs trembled slightly, when he realized that the room had been filled with quite a number of guests. About 20 people attended the ceremony, most of whom were unknown to the woman.
He can only recognize Marcus' stiff figure and Dominic's red hair that looks quite prominent in the room.
Lin looked relieved, when he saw Nate's tall body that had been waiting in front of the pulpit. The man smiled broadly at her.
As Lin further pushed Johan's chair forward, some of the guests seemed to gasp in shock. Never before in its history has a V woman been ushered into the pulpit by anyone else.
Generally, the two couples who will get married, are ready in front of the pulpit and wait for the blessing ceremony. If not, lady V would just step alone in the passageway and approach the groom.
This is certainly history for their people. Yet etiquette seemed to prohibit them from gossiping with each other in this sacred ceremony. The atmosphere sounded silent, although many questions seemed to be raging in their heads.
As he approached, Johan stopped his wheelchair and took his son's hand.
The old man approached Nate and handed his daughter's hand to the young man.
"Please take care of my daughter, Nathanael."
Nate nodded and accepted it.
"I will always look after him, Master Johan. You don't have to worry."
Hand in hand, the two brides turned and turned their backs to the guests. Not long after, there was an announcement from Felix as the host.
"And now, let us witness the sacred union of Nathanael D'Axelle, the only son of the French nobleman Navarre D'Axelle with Alina Johan, the only daughter of Master Alexander Johan."
The announcement made the room a little tumultuous but with a little bit of a scream from Felix, things calmed down again.
"please calm. The show's about to start."
After the announcement from Felix, the blessing event was held solemnly. After that, the two brides exchanged rings and the groom kissed the bride quite briefly. They both smiled at each other in front of the pulpit.
All the guests looked at the astonishment of the bride-to-be at the front, and this was truly history for their people.
Holy union in the V is quite rare and when they have the opportunity to see it in person, of course this is a great blessing. Especially when knowing that one of the brides is the son of a Master.
Many of them ended up swarming the two brides after the event was over. But Felix swiftly directed the two to exit the back door and head straight for the parking area.
When the two were finally in the car that Nate was carrying, Lin could only sigh in relief. The woman laughed cheerfully.
The man beside her laughed happily. "We're going home now?"
Lin nodded. "Can we stay at my apartment tonight, Nate? I still haven't prepared anything."
Nate stroked Lin's hair. He actually wanted to directly bring Lin to his place but for now, he was unwilling to force him. Nate wanted Lin to feel comfortable with her new status now.
"certain. We'll stay where you used to be."
The car began to move away from the luxury Felix building, bringing the bride and groom who are ready to take a new life.
The next day, Lin and Nate left for the office in different vehicles. As per the initial agreement, they will keep their relationship secret while at the office and will meet after they are at home.
Arriving at the office, Lin headed to his room and met with Mr. Robertus.
"lina! Come inside."
The two men ended up chatting briefly about work and discussing the cancellation of Lin's resignation plan.
"I'm really grateful to Alina, because you're quitting this company. If I may know, what's keeping you out?"
Lin smiled at the question.
"There is actually a personal matter of Mr. Robertus, which unfortunately I cannot tell you. But obviously, the problem is over and I can focus on working again. I'm sorry if it makes you anxious."
The middle-aged man simply shook his head and smiled.
"yeah. I don't need to know the details. Obviously, I'm thankful you didn't come out. If there is anything you don't like, you can discuss it directly with me. I'll discuss it with Mr. Marcus later."
Lin blinked when he heard Marcus's name.
"Sir Marcus?"
"Yes. He seems to be paying enough attention to you. Several times, he asked about you and was quite surprised to find out you were resigning."
Hearing that, Lin simply nodded. It seems this is also what made Nate careless a few days ago when he did not answer the man's phone. Inwardly, Lin laughed in satisfaction as she managed to make her husband growl in the mist back then.
"Do you know her very well, Alina?"
Lin's eyebrows automatically raised high. "Near familiar? You mean, with Mr Marcus?"
Mr. Robertus nodded in spirit. "Yes. Are you guys close enough?"
Head Lin shook his head slowly. He smiled faintly at his boss.
"Not really. It's just, I've helped him several times related to work. Maybe because of that, Mr. Marcus paid a little attention to me. But beyond that, we have absolutely no relationship whatsoever."
"Oh so. I thought you guys were very close. Frankly, I heard a bit of gossip about you because of what happened a few days ago."
Lin's memories drifted on the scene in the elevator room which was quite traumatic for Nate.
"Regarding that, he happened to see me helping his partner. So having known me, Mr. Marcus asked me to come with them. Her partner is really sick and needs to be cared for. Nothing else happened after that."
Mr. Robert nodded his head. At that time, Lin had explained his case and his boss accepted his explanation, especially when Lin firmly said that he did not resign from the company.
Feeling that there were no more important things to talk about, Lin decided to leave the room. He began to dislike the direction of this conversation.
"If there's nothing more to talk about, then I'm sorry to go back to my room, Mr. Robert."
Realizing that his subordinates already looked uncomfortable, made the middle-aged man smile.
"Of course Alina. Sorry, I asked you a little personal question. Again, I welcome you back to the company."
Lin nodded as well. One of the things that made him survive this long in the company, was the figure of Mr. Robertus who was wise and knew the boundaries of his territory.
"Thank you Sir. Then, excuse me first."
Throughout the morning, Lin appeared to be struggling in front of his computer as his phone rang.
Glancing at his watch, he realized that time had shown a break. Lin grabs her phone and sees that Lucy is calling.
The woman sighed slowly. Lucy's often reactive behavior begins to irritate Lin. But realizing that his friend was well-intentioned, he made him try to suppress his anger.
"Hello, Luce. Sure do. I'll catch up with you in the cafeteria. See you later."
He had just put his phone on the table, when a new message notification appeared.
'How are you, my wife?'
Those words made Lin smile. He had changed his 'Nate' ID to 'MyV', trying his best to hide Nate's identity from others.
'Good news, my husband. How's you?'
'Good news too. I miss you.'
'Don't miss too much, because now I want to go.'
A second after the message was received, his phone rang loudly.
Laughing, Lin picked it up.
"Hello."
"Where are you going?" There was Nate's tense voice on the other side.
Chuckling, Lin replied lightly.
"Lunch. What do you think, where am I going?"
"Oh."
That short answer made Lin imagine her husband's face that must have been bowed down and looked extremely embarrassed. The more Nate knew, the more Lin liked her husband.
"I have to go now, Lucy's been waiting for me in the cafeteria."
"Lucy's? He's the one who's been slapping and hitting me, Lin. You still want to be friends with that kind of person?"
Nate's voice was complaining. Lin knew that her husband was just trying to sound dramatic and had absolutely no grudge against his friend.
Lin chuckled again.
"You deserve to be hit that day, Nate. If you still remember, you've taken a chance in the narrowness of that morning."
Lin's carefree voice, made Nate smile across the phone.
"You should be punished later, my wife. Now go, before your bar-bar friends do anything stupid."
"OKAY. See you at home."
"See you. Love you." - Love you." Before Lin could reply, Nate had hung up on him.
Slowly, Lin put his phone on the table. He realized that he had never told Nate his feelings. But she was grateful that her husband did not force her and gave her space to think.
Lin has not been able to express her feelings directly to Nate but she knows that her feelings for her husband are much deeper than any words of love.
Taking his wallet, Lin got up from his seat and immediately caught up with Lucy in the cafeteria.
