Like the Enemy in a Blanket

William returned early after getting word from Marien if his mother wanted them to go home for dinner together. Marien had been waiting for her when she came back, the wheelchair was already rare for her to use now but still, Marien helped her take off the shoes she was wearing because it had become her daily routine.

Although William prevents but Marien still pass it. Her juice was even released by the Marine before a glass of drink was given to her husband.

"What about your day?" ask Marien.

"As usual. What about you, honey? Is our house finished?"

"You can see it, Will. It's all done!"

"Our kid's room?" william asked, hugging his wife's waist.

"It's ready, just make it!" marien.

"It looks like it's an invitation for me, are you getting hooked?" william Goda.

"A-What? It's delicious!" marien said with a red face.

"Unfortunately I can't carry you because I can't do it yet. If I could, I would've taken you to your room and spent some time with you."

"Hey, we should go home for dinner."

"alright. Madame. You're gonna shower with me, aren't you?"

"I've had a shower, Will. Go take a shower because I'm making food that I'll bring later to eat together. Don't let us go empty-handed."

"You don't have to bother, Marien."

"It's okay, I want to do it."

"All right, finish it. After that we go!" Marien nodded and before William left, a gentle kiss landed on his forehead.

Marien finished the food he made. Not much, just two. She was confused about what to bring and because there was nothing she did so she decided to make some food. William takes a quick shower, as he intends to help Marien but one thing he hasn't done yet is introduce Marien to the assistant of choice Steve has got. She must not forget Alexa because the woman could really be a threat to Marien.

Alexa's disappearance is dangerous because she doesn't know what Alexa will do to Marien. He has ordered Steve to search for Alexa's whereabouts but Marien's sister is nowhere to be found. Zack is looking for her to ask for leniency but it's not the man she's afraid of because what she's worried about is Alexa who is definitely still holding a grudge with Marien.

Do not let Marien wretched because the woman who holds a grudge when all is clear if it is not the fault of Marien and he is sure anyway, Gavin can not tell the truth to Alexa. All so complicated just because of the selfish attitude of a father who is afraid of being hated by his favorite daughter. Marien, who was making food, was astonished that William had been watching him for so long. Marien turned, looking at her husband with a look of wonder.

"What's wrong? Is there something strange?" ask Marien.

"No, did you ask your father if he told Alexa the truth?"

"You think Wiil, is he going to say it? She's so afraid of being hated by her daughter, is she going to tell you the secret she's been keeping for decades on Alexa?"

"What about your brother, don't you know where he is?"

"Of course, I asked the waiter at home but they said they didn't know because Alexa hasn't been home since that day. I don't know where he is right now, I don't think my dad knows."

"All right, listen to me!" William pulled Marien closer, then hugged her.

"I'm afraid your sister will hurt you, Marien. So I want you to be careful outside the house. Don't trust anyone you don't know. You should let me know if you want to go and remember; don't go with strangers. You should always bring in the assistant I'll introduce you to after Steve picks her up. Don't go without him because he's no ordinary assistant.  I hope you're not far from him because I'm afraid something's happened to you."

"Why does it sound so serious?" ask Marien who is starting to look anxious.

"I just want you to be careful, honey. Alexa is like an enemy in an invisible blanket but will attack secretly so I hope you're careful of her."

"I'm gonna be careful, Will. Thanks for reminding me but by the way, what happened to your ex-boyfriend?"

"Of course, I'm done. Let's go so your mother doesn't wait too long for us."

"You're right," William rubbed Marien's face slowly, The two of them looked at each other with smiles adorning the faces.

"What's going yet?" asked Marien who was also hugging him.

"A little while!" William kissed Marien's lips with affection. He wanted to be like that for a moment before they left. Although they can do it another time but togetherness and a kiss they must do so that their relationship as husband and wife is more friendly.

They left after spending their time together. As William said, a woman who would be Marien's assistant to guard him was introduced. She is trained and has had two years of bodyguard experience.

Marien is just happy because she knows her husband is worried about her condition especially if he is worried about Alexa who she knows if the woman will definitely not stop throwing tantrums. If his father tells Alexa the truth, Alexa may not harm him, but he believes his father can not tell the truth to Alexa so that the hatred is still in the heart of Alexa. Alexa could be making plans to harm her right now. That's why he should be vigilant.

Upon arriving, they were greeted by William's family. Very friendly brothers and grandmothers, uncles and aunts who look very good. Marien was received quickly by them and no one asked which family he came from. There was nothing to offend the genealogy nor anything even a single cent he had asked William's family.

Marien felt she was very welcome by William's family. The old grandmother did not get the idea to prank Marien even though she had thought hard. How else, Marien and William are married and he has no good way to give Marien a great welcome. It was her silence that astonished Silvia and Samantha. Is there really no special reception for Marien?

"Something's wrong" said Samantha.

"Right, did you see your mother-in-law? I guess she'll pretend to cry again like she did to welcome you" Silvia said.

"Well, don't tell me Mommy really doesn't want to give you a welcome!"

"Do you want to bet with me, brother-in-law?" ask Silvia.

"Bet what?" ask Samantha anyway.

"I'm guessing Mommy ran out of ideas so there's no crying drama she can show!"

"Alright, it makes sense!"

The two of them looked at each other and after Xiau Yu had finished talking to Marien, Silvia and Samantha immediately approached him.

"Mom, you have a chance but why don't you welcome it your way?" ask Them.

"Ck, William and Marien are married so why else would I do a welcome!" xiau Yu said.

"Lies, Mommy must be running out of ideas, right?" ask Silvia.

"I have a myriad of ideas and will use them for Jacob's future wife only later!" the answer is that he has no idea.

"No need to cheat, Mommy definitely has no idea!" Silvia still teases her mother.

"Don't come, the food is cold let's eat!" take Xiau Yu.

"Don't pretend, Mom!" Samantha.

"Jacob has a girlfriend, I'll definitely give him a welcome!"

"You heard brother-in-law, be careful. Don't let your son-in-law run!"

"Ck, may Jacob hear it!" samantha said, but what the old man will do later, no one knows.

Silvia invites Marien to eat while Marien is talking with Abraham and John. What they are talking about is business. Although Abraham was her father-in-law and Jhon was the older brother of her mother-in-law but Marien did not look awkward at all. Really, he was very lucky to get to know people who were kind and well-received because all this time he was not treated well by his own family but now, he is, she was well received by her husband's family.

If Alexa sees it, he believes Alexa will be envious and indeed Alexa's hatred is increasingly becoming because he has heard from his father who said if William came along with his parents and gave very much money as a dowry for  marriage of Marien and William. Alexa, who is envious of Marien, grew envious after hearing the incredible luck that Marien got.
