The Dinner Banquet

The happy news of course makes happiness in the Archiles family home very felt. The desire of Abraham who was very expecting a granddaughter finally came true. Abraham was busy himself, of course, to buy the equipment that his grandson would use. Now he will not hold back on preparing all the supplies of his first grandchild that will be present in their family.

Silvia also gave the good news to her mother and sister-in-law in California. Not only was Abraham happy, she was also very happy but not too excited like her husband. Once back, Marien was hungry and wanted to eat.

William accompanied his wife in the kitchen when her father and mother were so busy and excited. The nutrition of his wife and children is more important than following the furore of his father and mother. After all he would not prevent what his father and mother did.

"It looks like we don't have to bother buying our baby gear anymore, Will!" marien.

"But I really want to do it. Buy baby shoes and then look for cute clothes for our baby. When can we do it?" Marien looked at her husband expectantly. As a mother-to-be, of course, she really wants to feel what it's like to prepare equipment for her baby, she really wants to feel because she knows it must be fun to do it.

"Tomorrow we'll do it. There's no need to ban what my father and mother did, we can do it to prepare the gear for our baby and tomorrow, we go do what you want."

"really?" marien's face was beaming, it had not gone anywhere since she had lived in her in-laws' house. She was very bored and very eager to get out but what she wanted to do the most was to visit her brother in prison.

"Well, I don't forbid as long as I go with you. I used to do it when I was pregnant with you. I prepared a lot of stuff for my first child and it was nice to buy the stuff that our baby needed. Tomorrow go with your wife, do not let the fun be missed due to being seized by the old man but remember, do not be too excessive and do not be too tired!"

"Thanks, Mommy. I won't overdo it." said Marien.

"If so, rest and call your father."

Marien nodded, before a glass of warm water was given by her husband. Marien went to the room accompanied by her husband. As William used to do, he would massage Marien's legs in turns to make Marien feel comfortable.

"Of course, Dad. I want Daddy to take care of Daddy's health so Daddy can welcome Daddy's granddaughter next year."

"Yes, Daddy will have a granddaughter later!"

"Well, while Daddy's looking forward to a grandson but it's okay, whether it's a girl or a boy, Daddy's really happy to hear it!"

"Well, since I'm carrying a baby girl so my two in-laws are very happy because they do want a granddaughter, so there's going to be a dinner and they're inviting Daddy to come tonight." marien.

"Alright, Daddy's coming after Daddy's work is done. Tell me what do you want? Daddy's gonna make it for you."

"Thank you, Dad. No need to bring anything, as long as Daddy comes, I'm already very happy."

"Well then, I'll see you tonight, sweetie."

"Bye, Dad. Take good care of your health" Marien said before ending their conversation.

"Your father can come, right?" ask William.

"Of course, he said there were obstacles in the company. I really want to help, Will. But you know I haven't been to the company in a long time so I?"

"Thank you, now I want to rest so I don't get too tired later."

"I'm with you!" William had crawled closer and lay by Marien's side.

Marien lay comfortably in her husband's arms. The news was so happy that it kept Silvia busy to prepare a dinner banquet that they would miss with Marien's father. Their relationship was not as good as it had been before, nor were they so familiar but ever since Marien lived with them, his father had often come and spent time with Abraham. They both play chess in the park but never once, Gavin talks about business as he already has because he really has learned from his mistakes and he does not want to repeat it again.

The servants were busy helping Silvia, a simple dinner at home to celebrate their happiness over the sex of their first grandchild whom they had been so eagerly looking forward to and hoping for. Some dishes have been served, just waiting for the arrival of Marien's father who soon came. Gavin comes without bare hands, as he is not feeling well despite Marien marrying into a very good family as he was never rejected while visiting his daughter.

"Finally you came too, hurry in!" Abraham welcomed his new arrival, it could be seen if he was happy.

"Congratulations to you, I've heard it from Marie" Gavin said.

"Congratulations to you, too, because you're also going to be a grandfather."

"You're right. I can only bring this," Gavin gave the hand he brought.

"No need to bother, Gavin. We'll enjoy together later."

"Dad, have you come?" Marien approaches his father while his in-laws pass away to save the goods given by Gavin.

"Congratulations to you, Marien," Gavin hugged his daughter, she actually almost ruined her daughter's future if she remembered what she had done in the past.

"Thanks, Dad," Marien returned his father's arms in happiness.

"If your mother were alive, she would be happy. She's really a great woman that Daddy has wasted. Even though she's dead, but she managed to educate you to be an amazing daughter. Your mother must be proud of you."

"I know that, Dad. Because I have a great mother, that's why I can be like this. Although Mommy is not with me, but I always remember what she taught me!"

"That's it, the important thing is that Daddy wants to improve himself. It's not too late for that. Mommy must have forgiven Daddy, I believe it."

"All right, now let's go inside. The others are waiting for you!" Merien let go of his embrace and invited his father in.

Again, Gavin was welcomed, especially he was awaited. His family is amazingly good and his daughter does deserve to be with them because of his kindness and he is proud his wife has given birth to a daughter as good as Marien and can educate her to be like that despite her lack of affection which he gave that time to his daughter.
