Marien is pensive as William leaves himself alone. Not without reason William left, Gavin collapsed due to not being able to withstand the pain and the result of blood coming out of his wound which was quite a lot. Although he no longer cared about his father but they could not let his father pass out in the room.

William is out to give orders for Gavin to be treated immediately. If Gavin wasn't Marien's father, if it wasn't for Marien having an amazingly good heart maybe he would've been indifferent to Gavin Douglas. Just because Marien was the one who made him care about the old man.

"I can't, Will. My mother always taught me not to hate anyone and taught me to always forgive anyone let alone my father and brother."

"I knew you would definitely have such feelings," William sat down by Marien's side and clasped his hand, "But there are times when you become a slightly heartless person especially for people who have ignored you all this time and who have hurt you!" said it.

"I really can't see my father's condition like that."

"Listen to me, honey. Did you see your father?" William said that while rubbing Marien's hand slowly.

"She came to apologize to you for Alexa but does she care about you? Did he ask you if you were okay? Not at all because all he thinks about is Alexa and he does not care about you when your situation is also concerning.
