The unexpected gift will certainly change Marien's day which was as unemployed to be a little busy because of the new company he had to manage. Marien had heard from William that the company was almost out of business due to debt and now the challenge for Marien is, advancing the company again and overhauling all of its work systems.

Before the start of her busy day which is definitely full of challenges as she gets introduced as the new owner of the company, Marien wakes up early to make breakfast. Suddenly he felt he could not give anything to William while William gave a surprise that was really unexpected.

Looks like he should be looking for a present later. It might not be expensive but he still wanted to give it away. Breakfast was over, Marien smiled looking at the dishes that were already on the table. He seemed satisfied with the result and it was time to wake William up.

Again he thought if he was too deep into the role. They only have a relationship until next year and their marriage takes place upon a covenant, supposedly she and William are not that close as if they were real married husbands but yeah, Marien shrugged both shoulders. No need to think a lot, better just enjoy their togetherness.

Marien came out of the kitchen and stepped into the room. William was still sleeping when he came in. Marien stepped closer slowly and after that Marien climbed onto the bed and crawled closer to William slowly.

Marien rested his body with both arms, instead of waking William he looked at William's face. All right, his face is handsome. It seemed like his lineage was good even though until now he had no idea whether William had a family or not.

The man she married was a little mysterious. She wondered if William would tell her if he asked her whereabouts? For some reason he wanted to know if William's family did not know about William's situation or if he was ignored by his family. Curiosity filled the heart therefore, Marien played his finger on William's facial line unconsciously.

"Have you seen enough, Marien?" william's question surprised Marien. Both of her eyes had even opened without Marien noticing the consequences of too much she thought.

"Oh, jeez. You're awake apparently!" Marien is not feeling well. The hand that played on William's face was pulled quickly, he was so embarrassed that William held it back and landed a kiss on Marien's palm.

"I woke up earlier. What were you thinking that made you not realize that I woke up earlier?"

"What I think about so much!" marien.

"Come here, I want to hug you and tell me what you're thinking!"

"It's not important, William!" marien answered, but she was already inching and lying on William's side.

"I'm not important, I want to know!" marien's hair was tidied up, William rubbed it before landing a kiss on Marien's forehead.

"Looks like you want to know all about me."

"Can't it?" ask William.

"If so, may I ask about you?" Marien looked at William, hoping William would tell him a little.

"Of course, what do you want to know?" William rubbed Marien's cheek slowly. Marien finally asked me that. She thought Marien never cared so never wanted to find out.

"Wait, I suddenly forgot what to ask!"

"Two minutes, Marien. If you don't ask soon then time's up."

"What's? Why so fast?" Marien panicked from a little time.

"I'll ask you soon if not your time will run out."

"Oh, no. Do you have a family?" ask Marien. This is what he wanted to know the most.

"Of course I have. Is that all you want to know?"

"Did your family not know how you were?"

"No!" answer William. A heavy breath was exhaled because he had not told his condition to his parents. I hope his mother doesn't slam him on the floor when she finds out.

"No. My family's not like that, Marien. I just don't want to tell them about your situation. After all, they are not here and I am looking for a doctor who can cure my feet. It's possible that both my legs were healed when they came back, remember that miracle you said? I think I should trust him now!"

"Alright, but believe me if the miracle is there and believe me if both your legs can heal later."

"I believe you, Marien. Therefore accompany me until my legs heal, until where I can walk again. You want to, don't you?"

"Of course, I'll accompany you but now it's better that we hurry up as I've already made breakfast. Don't get cold and it'll be a busy day for me. Thanks for the surprise you gave me, I promise I won't let you down, William."

"I believe you, Marien. But is there no gift for me?"

"I'll buy it for you later, now I'll help you take a shower!"

"No, Marien!" William restrains Marien, who is about to leave, "I want a good morning kiss from you!" said again.

"What?" Marien was surprised, a kiss? Marien's mind was suddenly blank, the two of them looked at each other. William waited for an answer from Marien but Marien remained silent. William's hand was already on Marien's face, rubbing it slowly then his hand stopped on Marien's chin.

"Why shut up, don't you want to?" ask William.

"U-Not so, we're not that familiar so I guess don't start anything!" to be honest, he was afraid that their relationship would cross the line. However, covenants are agreements and they are quite like friends who trust and support each other.

"Are you worried about something, Marien?"

"It's not so, William. We are bound by agreement and we must be professional. We are husband and wife but we have agreed not to have physical contact. I will be your friend who will always support you until our time is over!"

"Hey, all I want is a kiss on the cheek but you're exaggerating it!"

"Remain on the cheek?" ask Marien. He thought William was asking for an intimate kiss on the lips.

"Hm, but if you don't want to then?" william's speech stopped because Marien had landed a soft kiss on his cheek.

Marien smiled after doing so but her face flushed red because she was embarrassed. Marien turned, turning his back to William. Although it was just a kiss on the cheek but somehow his heart so pounding.

"U-I did!" marien.

William smiled, why was he so happy when it was just a kiss on his cheek. William hugged Marien from behind, suddenly he became curious, had Marien ever had a lover before?

"Why embarrassed? You've kissed a man before, haven't you?"

"Of course you have!" answer Marien.

"So you had a boyfriend before?"

"Yes, I've dated twice!"

"Oh," replied William briefly. Suddenly she felt a little disappointed but it was impossible that Marien had never been in a relationship. She herself has been gonna change girlfriends I don't know how many times.

"Have you taken a shower, or want to stay like this?" ask Marien.

"I want us to be like this for a minute!" William tightened his embrace. Marien closed both eyes, as it was not bad before the start of their busy day.
