"Take care of me, Dad!" shouted Marien who was impatient because his father was silent earlier. His father should not hide something from him, especially his father knew that Alexa hated him so much because of uncertain problems.

If her father knows something, his father should tell them the truth so that misunderstandings do not occur and so that there is no hostility between Alexa and her. Now he's growing suspicious that he's not Gavin Douglas' real son.

"Why is Daddy silent? There's got to be something Daddy's hiding, isn't there?"

"We'd better go find your brother first. Daddy was worried about him," his father said.

"No! Tell me what happened and then we're looking for Alexa.  He's not a kid anymore. Maybe he came home so don't overdo it and tell me right now. I don't have much time to mince words with Daddy just because of Alexa!" Marien became impatient and increasingly upset.

"What's it going to reveal again? What if you knew the truth you could bring back his dead mother?" ask father.

"Daddy is really testing patience and cannot be talked to. If so there's no reason for me to grant Daddy's request!"

"What do you mean, Marien?"

"It's all right I'm here, Dad. I wouldn't ask William to be generous. Just let Zack torture Alexa and I want to see Alexa kneel under my husband's feet even I'll ask William not to forgive anyone before Zack or Alexa kneel under my feet!" marien. It sounded heartless but he was fed up with his father not telling the truth of what had happened.

"How you are, Marien. He's your brother but how could you treat your brother like that?"

"He was much more hearty than I was because he was willing to sell me and Daddy, not much different from him. I won't be shaken. If you want to blame someone for everything that happened then blame yourself for being unfair to us and for hiding a big secret from us!"

"Daddy really didn't think you'd act like this to me!"

"That's because Daddy deserved it. Now tell me or I really won't be generous at all!"

"Well, you and Alexa must be my daughter, my flesh and blood. I brought you home with your mother because I wanted to stay with you guys and so you and Alexa could be brothers."

"Daddy is married to Alexa's mother, so why did Daddy remarry with my mother?" ask Marien.

"I married your mother because I'm divorced from Alexa's mother!" shouted his father.

"What?" Marien seemed to not understand.

"Everything is my fault. I loved Alexa's mother so much, but she betrayed me to another man. I was forced to divorce her but I didn't let her leave the house because Alexa was a child and needed her. I let her do whatever she wanted but when my love was turned away and I was married to your mother, Alexa's mother wanted to come back to me. I refused because the feeling in my heart was no longer there for her let alone her carrying the man in front of my eyes almost every day. I'm sick of her behavior, but Alexa's mom hates you and your mom. He started poisoning Alexa's mind to make Alexa hate you, too. He also threatened me to kill myself if I didn't divorce your mother and remarry her. I thought it was all a joke, but?" gavin's speech stopped. That would have answered Marien's question.

Her father was silent, which indicated that what Marien said was true. Marien stepped back and shook her head, all that happened was not because of her mother but why her father but why was his father silent?

"It turns out her mother killed herself because you didn't want to go back with her?" marien shouted with emotion and disappointment.

"That's what happened. Do you think I would go back to the person who betrayed me by having relationships with many of those men? I'm not going back to that woman!"

"That's not the point of the problem, Dad!" marien shouted furiously.

"You really have heart. You know the cause of Alexa's mother's death, but you have to hide this. Why don't you explain this to Alexa? Why don't you tell me the truth so he doesn't misunderstand me and hate me?"

"I don't want Alexa to be devastated and sad after hearing the truth so I let her assume that her mother's death had something to do with your mother. I don't want Alexa to hate me for this!"

"Good, Dad. Goody. You love Alexa so much and love her mother that you do anything for her happiness!" Marien stepped back with tears dripping down. He was really disappointed with his father who was so defending Alexa.

"You hid the truth just so Alexa wouldn't hate you and you made me and my mom a victim when I and my mom weren't wrong. I'm sure you married my mother not out of love but wanted to repay Alexa's mother for you. I'm really disappointed in you, Dad!"

"Enough, you know now so help me find your sister!"

"No, for years Daddy was silent so hatred grew in Alexa's heart. Why, is this what Daddy wants? Is Daddy happy to see us at odds like this? Daddy should have explained what happened to Alexa in the first place so that Alexa and I could get along well as brothers but you see now? You can see how our relationship and everything that happened was Daddy's fault!"

"Enough.  I do this because I love Alexa. I don't want her to be sad about her mother's death and what I want the least is that she hates me because her mother died from my refusal to go back to her!"

"And Daddy made me and my mom a scapegoat so Alexa wouldn't hate Daddy!" Marien wiped away her tears, she'd better go, "Enough already, I already know. Although I'm disappointed in you for being so loving when we were both your daughters and I can conclude that you married my mother just as an escape to avenge what Alexa's mother did to you for that reason you don't love me!"

"It's not like that, Marien!" said father.

"It's like that and you can't fool me. Now it's been answered why you don't care about me and care more about Alexa. I will keep my promise even though I am very disappointed in you. From now on I won't interfere in your affairs and your beloved daughter's and remember, don't interfere with my life!" Marien stepped away while holding back tears. He was really disappointed, very disappointed.

"Wait, Marien. Wait!" pinta's father chased after his daughter.

"Daddy's health is fine. Even if you make me and my mom a scapegoat, but you're still my dad and I hope Daddy tells Alexa the truth to stop hating me!" Marien walked away again with great disappointment. Not expecting the truth is quite painful because since the beginning of his mother as an escape to avenge the heartache of Alexa's mother and now, he was made a scapegoat and his mother so that Alexa does not hate his father. What kind of family is this, he really wants to laugh. Now he doesn't want to care about his father anymore and he hopes his father tells Alexa what really happened so that Alexa's hatred of him is gone.
