Mutual Forgiveness

Gavin came to visit Marien that afternoon. She can't help feeling longed for Alexa because they haven't seen each other for months. She hopes Marien will take her to prison so she can meet Alexa because she is very curious about her daughter's situation.

Marien who really wants to go to visit Alexa because there is something she wants to convey does not mind going with her father. "Daddy, I'm sorry, Alexa. Daddy's sorry!" Gavin fell to his knees on the floor, he even cried because his daughter really hated him.

"Daddy has wronged you, Daddy is so sorry for you!" said it.

"There is no need to show that cheap charade, I will not be deceived. You better get out of this room!" alexa shouted full of emotion.

"Alexa, Daddy's been so worried about you all along. Don't you want to forgive her?" Marien asked his father to stand up because he was pitying his father who had to kneel like that.

"No, Marien. No. gabe. Why did you bring him along? You should have asked me first. I won't be fooled by the fake drama he showed me!" said Alexa.

"I'm not sure Daddy's playing a drama. If it's with me maybe Daddy will do it but not with you because you know Daddy loves you so much."

"But I don't want to meet for her right now, Marien. Not for now!"

"Alexa, Daddy who hurt you, Daddy is so sorry. During the trial to ease your sentence, I will testify to what Zack has done to you. I'll be the witness and say if you kill Zack in self-defense. Even if you refuse, Daddy will still do it!" said father.

"I really don't need your help!" said Alexa cynical.

"Sister, didn't I say it? there's no harm in forgiving Daddy because he really loves you even if it's the wrong way!" marien said in the hope that her sister would forgive her father's actions so that their dispute would end soon.

"I'm not like you, Marien. I can't forgive him so easily!"

"You don't have to be me, Alexa. Be yourself, and be at peace with yourself. If you want to forgive someone else, you have to see the good that that person has done to you. Let not one mistake shut down all the good we have received from the same person!"

"But I can't be you!" Alexa, who is still disappointed with her father, feels that she will not be able to forgive her father.

"But I'm not as forgiving as you are" Alexa said softly.

"Do you know why I can be so forgiving, Alexa?" marien and Alexa answered him with a slit.

"I can forgive because I don't see the person's fault but I remember what I missed with that person. I can forgive Daddy because I realize I won't get anything by hating Daddy. Although Daddy behaved unfairly but he was a very responsible father because he didn't throw me out and raise me until I could be like this. I can also forgive you because I remember our wonderful childhood even if for a moment you were just a victim, so I can forgive you. You can see it, right? By forgiving, my life is very peaceful because I don't need to hate anyone in every second I pass!"

Alexa looked at her sister closely. He knew what Marien meant. When he still hated his sister, there was only vengeance and all he thought about every day was how he could avenge Marien. As Marien said, living like that is not fun because every second you think about is how he can take revenge.

"I'm not going to force you because all the decisions are with you but I think it's better that we get over the disputes and get back to living as a family. It's not too late to fix everything, brother. This time we can be a family in general.we have to show people if we can get back together as a family."

"Daddy is really sorry, Alexa. Really regretting what Daddy did to you. Daddy is too selfish to do something that Daddy shouldn't do but Daddy does it because Daddy is afraid of being hated by you!" sidetrack their father as they step closer.

"Do you really want to forgive Daddy?" ask her father who does not believe her daughter's words.

"Of course, Marien forgave me so I should be able to forgive you too!"

"Oh, I'm so glad to hear that!" Gavin hugged his daughter tightly. A feeling of happiness spilled because his daughter was willing to forgive him even Gavin's tears flowed due to the overflowing happiness in his heart.

"I'm sorry Daddy, Alexa. Daddy's really sorry!"

"You should ask Marien because you've done more wrong to him!"

"Of course, sure!" Gavin reached out to Marien who was standing not far from them, "Come here, Marien. Daddy wants to hug you too!" said it.

Marien smiled and drew closer, how wonderful their relationship was like that. Gavin hugged his two daughters tightly. Tears flowed again due to the happiness that filled the chest. This was the first time he had hugged his two daughters like that.

"Thank you, thank you for forgiving Daddy. Daddy promised to be a good father to you both from now on!" gavin said while crying happily.

"This time, don't you get corrupted again with your selfish attitude, Dad!" marien.

"Of course not. Daddy won't repeat it. Today, Daddy is so happy that we can go back to being a family!" his embrace was getting tighter, the gratitude he felt because it all started from the good-natured Marien and Alexa was willing to forgive herself even thanks to the kindness of Marien. They hugged for a long time, never ceasing Gavin said an apology to his two daughters. Now there is no more burden that they feel because they have made peace and forgiven each other. It's not too late to be a family again, it's really not too late at all.
