New Happiness, Begins

New Happiness, Begins
The Part 25

David cleared his throat. "Here are five little steps and you enter the most comfortable terrace you can imagine. Mom hangs flower pots everywhere." David nodded to the right. "There was a red swing over there, which he sat down every afternoon to watch the sunset." Then he pointed to the left. "There's a hammock over there, where I take naps." David stopped at the edge of the concrete foundation by swinging his body forward.

"Here is the front door with a mosaic glass window, and then we go into the hallway with a hardwood floor and there's a coat rack, where Mom's gardening tops hang, my favorite fishing vest and Dad's old flannel shirt that Mom loves to hold."

David advanced forward suddenly and turned to the right. "Here's the kitchen where my mom always bakes something in the oven, sinks something, hangs something to dry or cools something."

David saw Kendall close her eyes and seemed to catch her breath. Why did he suddenly get the desire to meet the mother with this woman? The first thing Luisa Booker would do for this skinny woman was to serve a bowl of meat broth and biscuits to make her body full.

Even so, David's gaze swept over the slender curves of Kendall's body with an amazed look. He does prefer to go down the woman whose body contains, but Kendall is interesting. And his eyes are hypnotic to anyone who sees them, beautiful.

David nodded and continued. "There was our dining room with a large round table and a chandelier that my mom bought in Atlanta. He was so proud of that thing. The glassware I showed you yesterday was placed in the corner there."

"You must often binge eat rice on hri sunday."

"True, of course after church. Come to think of it, I don't know how Mom can feed us and the friends we bring home." David felt a sting of grief and guilt given how much trouble his mother cooked for Sunday meals, while he and his brother grumbled at the loss of time to fish and swim.

"That sounds fun" Kendall said.

David turned to the back of the house. "This whole backside is our living room, with a large fireplace and comfortable sofas. Poor Mom must always be patient with us who always watch sports and fight."

"I'm sure he's used to it."

"Yeah, but guaranteed, once Mom is firm we'll obey."

Kendall smiled. "You seem to love him. How often do you see him?"

David laughing. "I don't think often enough. He talks to one of us twice a week, but I do owe him an appointment."

"He knows you're hurt?"

This time Kendall laughed. "I'm sure he'll still be worried."

"You may be right" David agreed, then pointed. "There's a row of stairs here that lead to the bedrooms on the second floor. My parents' room and two other rooms, my room and Harry's room. Mom decorated the living room with feminine fringed curtains and sheets and put her sewing machine there." David smiled broadly. "I think that's the only entertainer in a house full of men."

David swung the crutches forward, but got caught into a hole in the ground and lost balance. He slid forward, but did not fall because he was saved by another crutch and Kendall who supported him on the other side. The woman's touch makes David's body like in a sting of electric current.

"You're okay, right?" kendall asked, eyes wide, his face just inches from David's face.

Maybe because of the memories and the sadness of the atmosphere, or the fact that David was used to Kendall's body curled up behind him, he suddenly wanted to kiss the woman, this time intentionally and not under the influence of the drug that made him stumble. David drew his lips closer to Kendall's and, having not given her a choice before, hesitated to see if Kendall would fight back. The woman's breath brushed her lips. With eyes half closed and lips slightly open, David was surprised to realize how sexy Little Doctor Ma'am was. The bottom of his stomach rippled.

The ringing of the cell phone blew away the moment, Kendall backed away and moved away. David held back the disappointment, then picked up the phone and saw the foreman at the clinic construction site calling. He answered the call, "Hello?"

"David, there was an accident. Mason's hand is badly hurt."

David clenched his jaw. "Attent." He looked at Kendall, who was standing a few meters away from him. "Hand one of the workers got hurt."

"It's hard with something to stop the bleeding" said Kendall, breathing alertly. "And tell him to hold his hand over his heart."

David delivered the message. "Mom Doctor and I will be here in a few minutes." David hangs up the phone and moves towards the ATV. There, Kendall was wearing a helmet. David was surprised to realize how relieved Kendall was there during an emergency situation. Harry was right, if this doctor were to leave, the other women would have also flocked to follow.

Kendall helped him sit up, their movements were in a hurry, no one mentioned about them almost kissing. David was grateful for the phone interruption, he must have lost his mind. He did not need a fragile woman whose engagement was broken.

He kept on chiding himself all the way home. From Kendall's heartfelt expression as she recounted her family life, the woman must have wanted to know everything. And although one day David himself wanted to live a quiet and family life, he wanted to have fun first.

Come to think of it, he should have gone with Hailey Baldwin shopping to Atlanta and let this Little Doctor Mom do her job.
