Kendall's face was still red, her eyes were shining. "Well, you said that, thank you."

"How's it going at the clinic?"

"Stable. and improving. Both men are sleeping. Some people volunteered to take turns keeping both of them all night."

"Good."

Kendall nodded, then looked as if she wanted to say something.

"Is there anything you need?" ask David.

"I've explained to Daniel that men should never spend the night in the dorm."

"True," said David, pretending to be sympathetic. "He can stay in the barracks."

Kendall smiled at David. "Can you drop him off and make sure he gets a spot?"

For the sake of that smile, David was willing to do anything, especially if it kept Daniel away from Kendall's bed. "sure." He turned to Daniel. "luckily place. Have you ever joined the military?"

"No." replied Daniel.

"Oh, so." David tried to think of an analogy that the man could understand. "It feels like a summer camp."

Kendall looked at David sharply, but David just patted Daniel on the back. "Ready to rest tonight."

"Hmm. I think so." Daniel dropped a kiss on Kendall's ear. "Till tomorrow morning."

Kendall nodded, but David saw the woman put a hand between them and first turned his gaze away.

It was a small gesture, but David's heart soared expectantly. In a cheerful mood, he hugs Daniel into a long, narrow building that serves as a male residence. It is only functional, but clean and tidy. Still, Daniel looked around as all the men took off so that only the underwear remained and looked doubtful.

"It looks like the bed isn't very comfortable."

"No, no" David confirmed. "Also there's no AC." Then he got an idea. "That's it, man. You can occupy my bed tonight." He took Daniel to a separate section, where his bed and his brother were. "Please" he said, patting the mattress. "Much more comfortable and here also cooler." It's all a lie. He and Harry insisted on sleeping in the same condition as their workers. It's just that their places are a bit separated, who knows they need to talk in private.

"But where are you going to sleep?" ask Daniel.

"Mildly," said David, sighing in a sacrificial snobbery.

Harry, who was also ready to lie down, glanced at David. Shit_an Harry, that guy can always read his mind.

Daniel's face paled. "Not yet."

"Oh. Well ... malaria can be treated."

"Good sleep, David" Harry said, punching a pillow.

David leaned against a crutch and saluted, then walked back through the bunk bed area and out to the bathroom. He cursed the cast on his limbs for the umpteenth time, but managed to cleanse himself. Then he put his clothes back on and walked towards the ATV. As he turned on the machine, he imagined Harry lying there and hearing, knowing full well what his brother was going to do.

He directs the ATV to the dormitory. The lights are still on in the large room and kitchen, meaning some women are still not asleep. But the front door was locked. David has the key, but he doesn't want to just walk in. After all, there was a good reason for the regulation to "no male guests at night.." to make the women feel safe. David knocked, trying to think of the right reason to be allowed to enter late at night like that.

The door opened and Hailey stood there, holding a dish cloth. "David. hi."

"Eh. hi." David was agitated. "I, hmm. need to talk to the Doctor."

"Okay, I'll call you."

"Actually," said David quickly, "if possible, I think I'll just go up to his room."

Hailey shakes her head. "I've been wondering if you're just gonna watch and let that rotten ex-fiance take her away from here." He pulled over to let David in.

David stopped long enough to land a kissa_an on the woman's cheek. "You're good."

"Yeah, yes." said Hailey, shaking her hand. "Sana went up before anyone saw."

Feeling like a snot boy sneaking into the princess dormitory, David settles down the corridor and up the stairs on crutches, then it darted through the rows of doors of the women's room before finally reaching the door of Kendall's room.

He knocks and waits, wondering what he will say to the woman. He was just a simple guy, but he realized this opportunity required beautiful words and eloquence to speak if he would convince Kendall to stay in Happiness with him.

David heard a noise from behind the door, then the lights came on and the door opened. In the light from behind and wrapped in a transparent nightgown, Kendall looked agitated because she just woke up from sleep and was sexy...

David's blood rippled.

"David." Kendall got rid of the hair from the face, her eyes were worried. "Does one of those men need me?"

David's heart was pounding so hard he was sure Kendall could hear. "Yes" he finally answered. "I need you."
