Kendall then walked to the car to unlock it and let the mother and the boy say goodbye in private. He took advantage of the opportunity to check voice messages and check short messages. His heart thumped as he realized that most of the phones were from Daniel.
"Kendall, hi. It's me. I really want to talk to you about a few things. Call me when you have time. I hope you're okay."
The man's voice alone had already swept Kendall's entire body into anxiety. His heart was pounding and his knees were weak. What does Daniel want? Pardoned to feel calmer after his heinous betrayal? Kendall doubts the man's conscience is disturbed. Most likely, Daniel is worried about his professional reputation and needs to make improvements, with his help.
Kendall's fingers moved over the screen, while she considered replying to Daniel's phone, but instead listened to a message from Cara Delevingne that had been missed. How to call just want to say hello and say whether Kendall is treating other animals. Kendall smiled. His friend's voice was always uplifting. He'll return Cara's phone later tonight after being in the hotel room.
The thought of taking a bath lingering with boundless warm water made him groan happily.
Kendall throws a cell phone, then takes a quick glance at the bungalow terrace behind, Mrs. Booker was holding David's face with both hands and saying something that made the boy smile. The scene touched Kendall's feelings, though she had nothing to do with it. He felt like a scientist, observing rituals that he did not understand.
Finally David turned his head towards the car and walked on crutches to where Kendall was waiting near the open passenger door. Kendall takes David's crutches and helps him ride.
"I'm sorry about the ring misunderstanding" David said, "my mother's imagination was active."
"No problem" said Kendall lightly. "I can understand why he was so wrong."
"Because we're a compatible couple?" david's tease, his voice hoarse.
Kendall managed to grin. "No. Are you comfortable?"
After David nodded, Kendall closed the car door stronger than necessary and walked around the car to the driver's door. He climbed and installed the engine. Daniel's voice echoed in his head, while David's large body was within his reach.
This journey will be long.

Kendall pressed the button down the elevator. "I'm so relieved to know that your ankle's recovery is going perfectly."
David smiled broadly. "I never hesitate in the least, Little Doctor Ma'am. But Harry will be disappointed that I can't get back to work as fast as he wants."
Although David was relaxed, Kendall knew the man was resting more firmly on crutches and his face signified signs of tension. "You're tired" Kendall said, raising her hand to touch David's forehead before realising her actions. "No fever" he murmured to cover up the action, then lowered his hand.
"Today is exhausting" David agreed.
"We're still a long way from the hotel?"
"No. Just a few kilos to the south, closer to the city center. We'll have time to rest before dinner. There's a restaurant nearby and I'd like to take you there, if you don't mind."
The elevator went off and the door opened. David crutches to hold the door until Kendall comes in. Always be Gentleman, Kendall's mind, but all day close and watch the moving meeting start to make her tired. In addition, Daniel's voicemail continues to ring in his mind as he waits for David to be examined. The elevator doors closed, again keeping them close together. Kendall pressed the floor button where they parked.
"Actually, I thought I'd order food to the room and go to bed sooner."
Kendall couldn't help but laugh. "I can protect you."
"You've been taking very good care of me all this time."
Hearing David's sudden serious tone, Kendall softened. "I'm just doing my job" he said, partly to remind myself that it's the extent of their relationship.
"I won't force you home late" David persuaded. "And I can't spend a bottle of wine alone."
Kendall squinted. "I don't think you're a wine drinker."
David draws the body closer. "You can't generalize people."
Her voice tickled Kendall's nerve endings, giving her arms goosebumps. "Maybe you should say that to your workers who don't want to go to a doctor's office."
David's mouth twitched. "It's true."
But he didn't back off. Hazel's eyes were fixed on Kendall's and she knew David was going to kiss her. Kendall's lips open to breathe more air into the lungs.
"Did I tell you that you made that dress look beautiful?" Whisper David.
Kendall gulps. When David put his lips to his lips. Kendall is confused.she wants to enjoy this man, but her mind is spinning chaotic. He soaked his lips but just moments before their lips met, the elevator rang and the door opened, revealing many people who were waiting.
"Save the bell," murmured David.
Kendall lowered her head and walked away, then waited for David to split the crowd. Kendall walked faster to stay one step ahead of David until they reached the car and could not make eye contact while helping him get in the car. He managed to cover up the unrest by pretending to be upset when his car entered traffic density to head south on Peachtree Street. It was the height of traffic jams along six tree-lined lanes, which swirled between houses, apartment buildings, retail businesses, skyscrapers and churches. The sidewalk was pedestrianized, while cyclists darted in a special lane.
"Impressive, right?" ask David about the frenzy.
Kendall nodded. "It's shocking after all this time to be in Happiness." He jumped as the driver behind him honked. "I have to admit, I miss his calm."
"Now! Apparently there's also something you like in your life of happiness."
"Happiness has its own charm" kendall admits. He looked towards David. "It's just not the right place for me right now."
David looked back at the road in front of them. "When you were waiting for me, did you have time to return your phone call?"
"The practice has a policy that prohibits the use of mobile phones. I'll call you when we get to the hotel." After all, he had yet to decide whether to return Daniel's phone call or not. He had to admit, his curiosity had suddenly increased. But the fact that Daniel left no clue at all about what to talk about is more likely to lead to manipulation.
