It's unfortunate because he wants to make love to her again. And tell Kendall that she wants the woman to stay in Happiness.
Give the city a chance.
David massaged his back sternum suddenly, wondering if he should tell Kendall about the pain. Coincidentally, it seemed that the pain got worse when the woman was nearby.
David got up and groaned. His body ached, as if he had spent all day breaking into concrete. He grabbed the crutches resting on the nightstand and used one of them to hook the underwear lying beside the bed. He put it on, then stood up and walked towards the door that connected their room. Surely Kendall had picked up her scattered clothes, except for her petite white underwear, David looked amusedly. He stopped taking it and his blood rippled remembering how he had removed it from Kendall's body.
The connecting door in her room was open, but the connecting door in Kendall's room was closed.
He also knocked. "Kendall?"
When there was no answer, David tried to open the doorknob and found it unlocked. He stuck his head inside. "Kendall?"
The woman was not in the room, but the bathroom door was slightly open and the shower water was splashing. David smiled widely.he did not mind seeing Kendall te-lan-jang and wet. His body immediately ga-rah. But as he approached the bathroom, he heard Kendall's voice. The woman was talking to someone on the phone?
David stopped and raised his hand to knock.
"...I know you're right," she heard Kendall speak. "I kept thinking this whole time."
David frowned. Is Kendall talking to her ex-fiance? From the tone of voice, it seemed like the woman was affectionate towards the person on the other end of the phone.
"I've decided not to stay in Happiness" Kendall said.
David's heart is breaking. So Kendall will go back to her cheating fiance.
The woman's laughter was crisp. "Of course I'll call when I leave. Dinner sounds great."
David knew Kendall's conversation was about to end, so he turned around and returned to the connecting door as quickly and briefly as possible with crutches. When he had slipped back into his own room and closed the door, his heart was pounding with exertion and anger at himself. After promising Harry that he would do nothing to make matters worse, sleeping with Kendall has apparently strengthened the woman's decision to leave Happiness.
It hurts to know that the woman has decided to return to the arms of her fiance, in case the bed they slept with is still warm.
Damn it, David thinks Kendall enjoyed a sex marathon last night like him. He thought they had an emotional connection after the incident in the bathtub and the second bottle of Bordeaux. But maybe he has lost his ability. After all, one leg was being unable to move.
David lifted one crutch and threw it across the room.

Kendall emerges from the bathroom wrapped in a towel and is overwhelmed with puzzling emotions.
His conversation with Cara strengthened his decision to leave Happiness. The city was not a place for him, especially after what happened between him and David. The situation will be awkward and he does not want his attraction to the man who may just be a runaway, developing into something worse. He has experienced it and can prove it through a broken heart.
But he decided not to call Daniel. He owed the man nothing, not even knowing if he would return to Denville forever. He woke up this morning and felt stronger. Kendall stepped by the window and stared at the busy pavement below and the beautiful downtown street scene. He can stay here. Maybe he'll go back to Atlanta to reopen the new sheet after cleaning up the messy business.
Kendall glanced at the door, considering walking back to David's room and creeping into the bed with him, pretending a bit longer. He put his hand on the door handle and heard the heart thump in the ear.
No. gabe. He should stay away while the situation between them is good. If David's reaction to her this morning was cold, it would ruin everything. Kendall let go of the handle.
Instead, she dries her hair, puts on a little makeup, wears a blouse and a borrowed skirt and tidies up the contents of her overnight bag. He considered calling David to ask if the man would eat breakfast with him, but then did not and went down to the hotel restaurant.
As Kendall enters the restaurant, David is sitting alone behind a desk reading a book. He looked so handsome, at once Kendall's heart pounded faster. But he was happy not to call the man. Obviously David didn't want to be accompanied by him this morning.
But David looked up and called Kendall to come closer. While walking to David's table, Kendall tried to guess the welcome she would receive. It's chilly? Full-flamed? Don't care?
The last one, Kendall found out after a few seconds.
"Good morning" said David with a flat smile. "Will you buy supplies and go home?"
"Ehm.yeah," murmured Kendall, then sat down on the chair that David offered.
"The medical supply store is open in half an hour. I've already asked the hotel clerk to send our list to their sales department, so I hope they've prepared most of the stuff by the time we arrive."
Kendall nodded stiffly and busied herself by putting the napkin on her lap. Is this how love worked last night? Can't bring up... previous events?
"In that way" continued David, "we can go home as soon as possible."
"Well," Kendall replied as she poured some coffee. "My bag is ready. I'm ready to get out of the hotel ."
"I guessed it" said David, his tone flat.
"You mean?"
"Because you're so organized" added David casually. "Have you seen any interesting food on the menu?"
But the innuendo did not escape Kendall's attention. Riled up, he grabbed the menu with one hand and sipped some coffee. The hot liquid burned his tongue, making his tears spread. He put the menu. "I wasn't hungry this morning. Coffee is enough."
David closed the menu. "me too. I just want to move on."
"true."
"true." David massaged the thigh of his crushed leg. Kendall's feminine instincts made her instantly recall the beauty of the man's muscular limbs and her doctor's instincts instantly felt worried.
