The Degree

The Degree
The End of Open World

A giant pillar that stands on each side of the Open World. Four in number. The pillar has a very wide courtyard so there is no need to worry people will jostle.

Floor and wall in a cold and thick concrete black color design. Although there is only mysterious concrete and there is no lighting like a lamp, strangely this place does not seem dark, as if there is a hidden lighting source.

Everyone's faces displayed the same thing, they were agitated and doubtful whether this Shelter was able to withstand the all-powerful nuclear explosion. In the third world war more than half a century ago, a third of humanity was killed by nuclear war.

A lot of land can no longer be overgrown with plants, not a few places are flattened by the soil, and not infrequently also people die from the famine that struck.

“Where is Ray?” terumi asked worriedly because she never found the person she was looking for.

Hiroshi still closed his eyes, he chewed on the grass he picked up on the way, “No need to worry. Even if the person you are looking for is not in this place, at least he will be safe.”

“I don't know where your confidence comes from.” Mona looked doubtful to what Hiroshi said and looked at him sharply.

“I was a samurai who had the principle not to lie. If I do, then my vow is to end this life with seppuku.”

Terumi immediately stopped Mona from arguing further. Although he doubted that there were people who still had chuuni disease like this, it was better to avoid such a strange person as there was nothing more troublesome than chuuni to deal with.

“Earth! Mona! You guys all right?!” From far away Leo ran happily while raising his right hand.

Terumi and Mona are happy that Leo came safely despite his chaotic appearance, they then furrow their eyebrows when they discover that Leo is coming with a stranger.

“We are fine, thank goodness you look so too.” Terumi gave her thanks.

“But who is this guy? Her face was somehow irritating.” Mona looked at the blonde man with annoyance.

“Stop that, beautiful. My good looks are indeed amazing, please do not make me misbehave by talking to me in front of me directly.”

“My name is Guren Marckwel. You could say I'm a group with this samurai boy.”

Terumi seemed to hesitate for a moment and looked at Hiroshi meaningfully. Hiroshi was certainly aware of that gaze, he slightly looked at Terumi before nodding and closing his eyes again.

‘Really, who are these people and why are they helping us?’ The endless questions popped into Terumi's head.

For him to get help from this kind of stranger is completely incomprehensible. As he remembered in the Redwest alliance with the Blueeast, there were no people like this.

“I know you are anxious about my good looks, but unfortunately I prefer big sister type women.”

Terumi grew even more irritated as this person drew strange conclusions at will. Even so he did not want to try to argue because it seems that if he had a war of words with this man, he would most likely lose.

People who talk a lot about nonsense are the most troublesome to deal with.

“Are you two alone? Where are the others?” Leo shifted the topic in order to dilute the atmosphere, to be honest he himself did not want to deal too far with Guren and the others.

If Terumi and Leo are worried about the injured Ray leaving with the other injured, then Mona is more worried about Arthur. Men who face dangerous people like Virgo alone.

Although she doesn't know what her Degree is, Mona is convinced that even without a Degree, Virgo is more than capable of being the one to put Arthur's life at risk.

A few minutes later, Ray came with a woman who was as manly and yet as graceful as the princess.

“Arthur!” Mona quickly jumped into Arthur's arms and cried a little, she no longer thought of the opinions of those around her, “Thank God you're okay!”

Arthur gently patted his head while smiling warmly. “Yes. Sorry for making you anxious.”

“Omong-by the way where are the others?” Arthur quickly asked after giving Mona a gentle pat. “I didn't find Ray or Erina on the way. While Ordo, we should know what happened to him.” Arthur delivered it bitterly.

The one who was injured was like the Order but fought very hard against Sebastian, with a wound on his stomach it was not hard to imagine how that person ended up.

Even if the Order managed to kill him, in the end he would still die from blood loss and stamina due to using his Degree. Using his Degree when injured like that, for Arthur it was no different from the Order cutting his own age.

“So, yes. The order sacrificed its life for us.” Terumi clenched her fists tightly as she felt frustration. “About Ray, he's not here yet either. Mona and I were the first to arrive at Shelter.”

Arthur furrowed his brows and looked at Indri with suspicion, “Have you done anything to him? Even if this is a sanctuary, there are no written rules against me killing you.”

Although it was just a bluff, Arthur clearly showed solemnity on his face. With a situation like this even Indri will not take the risk.

Guren and Hiroshi then walked up and took a position in front of Indri as if to protect him. After that, Terumi, Leo and Mona prepare for the battle to break out.

“Fufu, hot-blooded ape base. Just because one of your colleagues never came makes you intend to fight? Very stupid.” The words were not intended for Arthur alone, but also for Hiroshi and Guren.

“I'm just prepared that these people are acting stupid.” Guren smiled wryly.

“Letting his master hurt is a disgrace to the samurai. Instead of living life shamefully for letting you get hurt, I will do seppuku.” one day

Indri did not respond to his second statement, “Yah, although I know you will not start a fight considering that the person is here as well. Monkey and his friends must have removed his mask.”

Only one group can be explained by the mask, Rebellion. There was no doubt that those people were here to take shelter. They took off their masks to blend in with the other refugees.

“Hide the leaves in the forest, right," Mona said.

“Yeah, about this Ray guy. I'm sure he'll be fine. Ben's with him so there's no need to worry.” Indri didn't seem to care about him at all.

His attitude like that made Arthur even more suspicious about this woman. Not to mention the biggest question was why these people were helping him.
