The Degree

Leo is in a situation of playing hide-and-seek with Alexis. With Alexis as a pursuer who throws dangerous iron balls wildly.

“Sial! This bastard is really troublesome!” Leo can't do much because every attack of Alexis is very dangerous.

Until now Leo is still studying the Degree that Alexis has. The dangerous thing is not the power of his throw but his iron ball. Although the small object was clearly very heavy, Leo had tried to pick it up and surprised it had a weight of more than twenty kilos.

What kind of human could throw such an object so easily? It's hard to imagine if Alexis doesn't get the support of his Degree.

“You till when do you want to hide? Didn't you say you wanted to beat me? It seems you are very good at passing on nonsense.”

Alexis throws his iron ball to where Leo is hiding. The tree that became a barrier was destroyed easily but Leo moved quickly so that he managed to escape.

Leo's initial plan was to have Alexis run out of the ball but who would have guessed this guy wasn't worried about using it at all. Even with time he used more and more balls.

Leo felt annoyed because he became arrogant some time ago even though he could not deal with it at all.

“Sial! If I use my Degree, then the fact that the sleeping lion is not my strength will be revealed,” Leo muttered as he ran through the trees.

The reason it is never serious in a fight is because of its Degree. Leo may be stupid but he is not stupid, the fact that from the beginning he faked his Degree was never known by anyone.

This applies to Terumi who arguably has been with him long enough.

But if I want to survive, there is no choice but to use it!

The veins on Leo's left hand begin to come out and look big along with his nails that are increasingly elongated. Just as he wanted to use his real strength, Alexis jumped right in front of him.

In his hand were four iron balls. Alexis laughed happily and threw it.

“That ball will kill you.” A foreign voice echoed and instantly the accuracy of the ball that Alexis threw suddenly missed.

Even from behind the mask it is easy to judge that Alexis was wide-eyed because he did not expect the accuracy of his throw to miss from a very close distance.

Alexis then jumped back and kept her distance. His attention was not on Leo, but the foreign man who said before.

A man with golden hair leaned leisurely on the trees. From his face that looks narcissistic and mocking will definitely make anyone upset to see it.

Leo remembered the man when he first entered the trial. He was a man who asked and talked a lot.

“What did you just do?” Not Alexis but Leo asked.

“I? There aren't. I was just talking while watching you guys play chase.” He dodged the answer and snorted happily.

“Obviously you did something because it was impossible for me to miss.” Alexis looked furious and intended to throw the ball at the blonde man.

“Ups! I'll die if you throw that at me!” The blond man panicked and tried to stop Alexis.

“Of course you have to die!” Alexis threw without stopping him but he was again surprised because the ball turned before hitting the man.

“Ups, I'm lucky!” The blond man laughed happily while sticking out his tongue.

Both Leo and Alexis were surprised not to play because this guy was obviously not normal. He made almost no meaningful movements other than talking.

“Don't look at me like that, I didn't do anything to you. No need to grudge me, the one who can only speak.”

“What do you mean this whole incident was caused by you talking? Then I should shut your mouth.”

Alexis intended to throw him wildly but the small radio in his ear rang. The call could not be ignored because it came from the leader.

“What's up, Virgo?” Alexis is obviously unhappy because his fight is getting an unexpected distraction.

“This is an unexpected situation. The annoying little group is starting to show itself and we need to back off. I'm sure one of them came to see you this time.”

Alexis looked at the blond man in front of her who was smiling infuriatingly. He doesn't know who this guy is but he's definitely a member of the small group Virgo is referring to.

“Why should we retreat? Even if his Degree is strong, I believe myself to be able to defeat him.” Alexis refuses Virgo's orders to step down.

“You don't understand, Alexis. They are all second generation shitty. Their degree is not something you will be able to deal with.”

“Why can't I?”

“The person in front of you is the liar, Guren. Whatever he says is a lie, every attack of yours will be missed with just his words alone. That's his Degree, and his colleagues have a Degree that is more troublesome than him.”

“Because it's fast go. Time won't wait anymore, nuclear can't be stopped. If you want to stay alive then obey me.” Virgo emphasized his threat in his last words.

Alexis was furious and angry because this would be the second time he let his opponent live. This hurt his high self-esteem.

“Quick go, that's an order from your boss, right?” Blonde man named Guren said mockingly, “I'm sure he's met my unreasonable leader.”

“What do you mean?” Alexis furrowed his brows.

“Yeah, you know? I, Hiroshi, even Ben are nothing compared to my leader. We had different goals at first but under his leadership people of different paths could unite. Our only goal is to complete Open World and all other tasks. For that reason it is also what prompted my leader to activate his nuclear.”

Alexis did not expect that this small group was what Virgo meant a few days ago, about the small movements of the mysterious group.

He did not expect that the group actually existed. And, these people shouldn't show themselves at this stage.

There must be one thing that makes them decide to join the main stage and no longer play from behind the scenes.

“Tch! I'll go for now. On the next occasion, I will never escape with such embarrassment.” Leaving that sentence Alexis stepped back carefully and fused with the darkness of the night.

Leo looked at him for a while before being diverted to Guren who let out a long sigh.

“Huh, it's really stressful.” Guren wipes her hair and invites Leo to leave quickly, “Follow me. Your friends will go to the same place. Take it easy, not forever I lie.”

Leo may be hesitant but for now there is no way he can do anything but follow him.
