Uncovering Tasks!

Some of the campgrounds started burning along with the forest. It caused panic because the source was not known at all. However, Erina did not ask them to put it out because she knew from the intel that the Rebellion had arrived sooner for some reason.

The location of supplies and weaponry had been separated far from their place. Erina put some people there.

When all the higher-ups had gathered yet only Mein and Ray had yet to arrive.

“Where are Ray and Mein? Did any of you see it?” erina asked curiously and worriedly.

“I remember Mein went to see supplies earlier.” Leo said. “But I didn't see Ray at all.”

Looking at the other expression it was clear that no one knew of Ray's whereabouts. Erina may be worried but she doesn't pursue her further because she knows that both of them are strong enough and trusted by her.

“Then let's start the discussion in his absence—” Erina intends to start the discussion but is stopped by the ringing of her watch.

Not only does he have a ringing clock, but everyone in the room gets the same thing.

They both found that the notification that had not come long enough was about the next task.

—Someone activates nuclear. Task five successfully revealed.–

—Tasks to five. Destroy the entire Open World by nuclear and save yourself to Shelter.–

—Launch time. 60 minutes from now.–

Simultaneously with the notice four light blue pillars appeared in four different directions and were opposite each other. It seems that the pillars are the shelters in question in the task.

“What the fuck is this .. why in a situation like this?” Arthur clucked in annoyance because Secret only made things worse.

The current situation is so chaotic that even taking refuge in a shelter does not guarantee their safety. Many people who may still be insane and goods times there are members of Rebellion in one of the shelters they visit.

“From the inscription it seems that someone activated the dangerous object.” Terumi said with a slight panic. “Shouldn't there be people already guarding there?! Why can this happen?”

The greatest possibility is that there were intruders among the people who were tasked with guarding the waterfall where the only entrance to the nuclear was.

If somehow the hidden object was successfully activated by someone then there were only two conclusions.

“I doubt if there is a traitor there but it is very likely that there is someone who beats everyone.” Leo expressed his opinion while trying to remain level-headed.

“The problem is who did it? The people of Rebellion are unlikely to do so considering they want the top prize of the bonus task.” Mona seemed to be trying to understand the situation more clearly.

After everything Rebellion did it was very unlikely for them to choose to sacrifice the bonus task that had been a massive scramble.

“I suspect there is another group playing and trying to solve this themselves.” Arthur seemed convinced of his own conclusion.

There is no other conclusion to be drawn other than this. Arthur has denied the possibility that Secret sabotaged his homemade task.

After all the previous stagnant situation had been running for two knows and it was impossible for Secret to lose his temper. If it were not for the other party then it would be impossible for them to drop their current duties.

Winning in the war but dying after it will not be a matter of pride and can be interpreted as a suicide step. If they force themselves to fight, Arthur says he does not hesitate to leave them.

“That's right, the real victory is when we can still see tomorrow.” Terumi supported Arthur's opinion.

Erina was silent for some time and thought about her condition well. This task was obviously troublesome because he knew Rebellion had arrived sooner than he should.

“If you really want to retreat then you have to help me think about how.” Erina amplified her voice, her words left Mona and Terumi confused.

“What does that mean? If you want to retreat then we just have to retreat.” Mona looked at Arthur as she said so.

“It will be difficult, Mona.” said Arthur. “Rebellion is really near us. Automatic shelter our destination is the nearest shelter. Want it or not, like it or not, we will still have a clash with Rebellion.”

Although the clashes were not as big as the war but there still needed to be an act of resistance from them or they would end up being obliterated.

”In addition the difficulty is a shootout that is very likely to occur. Unfortunately we don't have a bulletproof shield.”

Even if there is one, it does not really guarantee their safety. Moving with this many people is no easy feat and there will undoubtedly be many dead.

Erina knew that it was impossible to go to the Shelter without any casualties but all she wanted was to minimize the casualties.

“In addition there are still me, Order and other injured people.” Erina clenched tightly her hands and felt annoyed at her incompetence now.

“This may be a cruel way to do. Maybe, we should make a human wall to take you and the others away.” Leo said with a bitter face.

“No! I will vehemently reject him!” Terumi raised her voice and hit the wall firmly, “Isn't that nothing to sacrifice others for others?!”

“Then what? If you don't agree to it then do you agree to leave the injured here?” Arthur said coldly.

“It ..” Terumi wanted to oppose him again but he was out of words because he did not find the right sentence to fight him.

Leo and Arthur's argument leads to the same thing. No matter what they choose in the end, sacrifices are still needed. There is no such thing as a right choice in the current situation.

“You should be able to accept it, Terumi.” Leo gently pat Terumi's shoulder with a painful face, “If we stop because of your rejection there will be more time wasted. Every passing second determines our future.”

“But! There must be one other way that there is no need to do such a cruel thing! We can definitely look for him!”

“Indeed we can find the way as long as there is more time we have!” Arthur was fed up with Terumi's opposition and raised his voice, “The problem we have is limited time, do you think everyone wants this?!”

Hearing such an angry Arthur made the atmosphere awkward without anyone being able to speak.

“I myself do not like it but there is no other way!” Arthur clenched his fists tightly until he was made aware by the knock of the door and someone entered.

“Sorry for my delay.” Ray went inside without hesitation.

Everyone was happy for his arrival but his condition made them lose the pleasure.
