The Degree

The Degree
Doesn't Make Sense

“Not usually you are alone, where is Leo?” Ray doesn't find Leo anywhere and he will try to find him.

Terumi smiled wryly as Ray asked her, “She seems to catch a cold so she has to rest. I don't know what he did until it was like that.”

“It looks like Serum D does not enhance the immunity of human body, yes.” Arthur nodded as if he had found something new.

Ray thought the same thing. Due to the incredible wonders that Serum D creates like the Degree, the body's immunity seems to remain something else.

“Yes. Then what are you guys doing here?” Terumi tilted her head and placed her index finger on the lips.

“We are discussing which road leads to union registration.” Ray revealed it without a doubt.

Terumi claps her fist into the palm, “Ah, so. You must have just received a mission from the union leader. If you just go there, there's no problem if I drive her, kok.”

Terumi has been in the Open World longer than Ray, he should have known that. Ray is thrilled at the unexpected luck of meeting her.

“If you don't mind then no problem. You helped me a lot.” Ray smiled faintly and thanked.

Terumi slightly blushed, then she turned her face and looked at Arthur.

“Um, do you not care if I drive it? Retsuji-san?”

Arthur nodded without any problem, “You don't need to use the honorphic on me. I'm not used to things like that. Even though I have Japanese blood doesn't mean I've lived there.”

“So. Then it doesn't matter if I call you Arthur, does it? I was initially a little confused to call you how.” Terumi scratched her head and smiled.

Ray and Arthur walk in tandem with Terumi in the middle. Although new to each other both Ray and Terumi are already quite familiar with Arthur.

“Omong-by the way, if you were here before then you just finished the task?” Arthur asked, he seemed interested in Terumi's whereabouts.

Terumi casually admitted it as if it was something natural.

“Although it is quite difficult to cope with the task alone but I can still overcome it. Fortunately it is not too dangerous to face alone.”

“Indeed you didn't get any help from your other guild members? I remember there must be at least two people to complete a task.”

In addition to the initial tasks like the one Ray was on, the other tasks required at least two or more people. Whether the task like what Terumi passed can be sure it is not something that is really easy.

“To be honest I was worried they would hinder me. So far only Leo has been able to compensate me, so I asked for special treatment to do it myself and the Blueeast union chairman agreed.” Terumi scratched her temple and laughed dryly.

It was not arrogance because Ray knew Terumi well enough. She was not the type of girl who would boast of something like that.

Degree Fanatik Budaya, if he has such confidence then surely the Degree is very strong. I have to watch out for him and not make him an enemy.

Not a good choice to make an enemy of a person who is certainly dangerous. Ray would either choose to get rid of it or pull it to his side.

“It looks like your Degree is pretty great. Well put that aside. If you don't mind can you tell me about your experience here? I haven't stayed here long and need more information.” Arthur said with a slight smile.

“Yes, no problem. I'll tell you as we head for that place.”

Regardless of his age and everything he had gone through, still being able to be cheerful and smile like that showed just how mentally strong he had been.

Before long they reached the union registration site. Ray is surprised that to sign up to a union using a computer.

“It seems there are quite a number of registered unions.”

Ray observed carefully, there are about twenty existing unions in the Open World including Redwest and Blueeast.

“Yes. Among them are only two of the most conspicuous unions.”

The top guilds were the ones that controlled the west and east. While there is one union slot with a crown. It seemed that the name of the guild that would be there would be the strongest guild.

In addition to the names there are also charts showing the strength of each union. The Blueeast and Redwest union have the same graphics and almost no difference.

The comparison between the two unions with the other is very far in comparison, as is the sky and earth.

Ray felt stupid for once thinking of making his own guild and defeating Erina and the Order.

“I remember that there are certain bonus tasks among union leaders. I don't know what the prize is they seem to struggle desperately to become the strongest union.” Terumi conveyed something that everyone already knew.

During Ray's two-week stay he understands that the situation is not as light as he imagined.

The tense atmosphere was everywhere and there was absolutely no time to relax when it already understood the situation.

Neither Erina nor the Maguire Order forbade anyone from entering its territory. I don't know what the reason there seems to be some kind of agreement.

In addition, placing spies would be very easy if there was no prohibition on the entry and exit of certain regions.

Although it is a double-edged knife, it is better than nothing.

Even if Ray was in that position then he would do the same.

“It was surprising because the numbers were completely the same. Even the two racing each other.” Arthur was stunned as he looked at the chart rising bit by bit.

“Yes. And who would be able to imagine this situation has been going on for two years.”

Ray begins to wonder why neither side is trying to start a war or sabotage that would harm the opponent. Even if it was just a little bit, that slight difference would determine everything.

“That's probably because both parties don't know their opponent's Degree at all. I remember the words saying that something unknown is more terrible than anything because we won't know how to handle it.” Terumi added with a serious face.

“I understand that but does it make sense that they didn't find anything with each other during that time? For myself it's like there's a conspiracy behind the conspiracy.”

Ray is reluctant to admit it but if he has to be honest he thinks the same thing.

“Agree. It was almost as if something was holding the two back from making a move and wanting the other party to make a move. If the situation is like that then to death even though this situation will never end.”

There were many mysterious things about these two great guilds. Both of them are probably not stupid. If it was Ray personally, it would only take less than two months to complete.
