The exam is over and Ray gets a chance to have a one-on-one conversation with Secret.
The first question he asked was something he had been curious about for a long time. About identity, purpose and what is it all for.
“You can't wait. Take it easy, our story will answer all your curiosity.”
Secret flicked his hand into the air and brought out a hologram. Soon she was telling stories followed by pictures and short videos that were in tune with her story.
“Short story, we are from a different planet to you. There is an almost infinite expanse of galaxies in this universe. We are from a very far place from your earth.”
Secret explains that where Ray is currently located is the spaceship Secret used to travel between stars.
“The world we came from has long since been destroyed. Not because of a planet that lost its lifetime, but because of man himself.”
Ray remembers that there are people who say that the apocalypse doesn't mean the world is destroyed or anything like that. But it is because of the man who destroyed his own world.
One of the worst histories created by man is nuclear, a dangerous weapon of mass destruction. If only humans had decided on a nuclear war, then they would have been the cause of why the human species itself went extinct.
Humans are parasites of this world. That is an indisputable reality.
“So you are a human who is trying to colonize the earth?”
That's not surprising. It does sound like science fiction about humans from other planets, but it's not that impossible.
“No. We are a program left over from our old world. Our creator created the command code.”
“So you guys kind of AI or super advanced android?”
“You can conclude so.”
Secret is not human, it makes sense considering that interplanetary travel has a unit distance scale of light.
Even if Secret had the technology to reach the speed of light, the time it took to get to Earth was not short.
His order was to pass down the technology from their world to a planet that had humans.
Ray doesn't know how long Secret spent to get to Earth. But he was sure, the world he came from hundreds or even thousands of years more advanced.
Ray closed his eyes and processed all the information in his head one by one.
“If I conclude, Degree is the last advancement of the technology you came from. What is all this for?”
If only to pass down there should be many choices that Secret can take. There is no need for them to use a convoluted way like holding this test.
Out of ten thousand people, in the end there would only be one who got all of this information. It was Ray Morgan.
“We need a human who will determine.”
“Determining?” Ray furrowed his brows.
Immediately a hologram appears and displays the scene that Ray knows.
The hologram displays every war and chaos on earth caused by man.
“For us humans here are still primitive. Destroying each other, competing and advancing technology. We can't make a decision.”
Secret explains that they have been on the planet for the last few years. They observe humans on earth, studying the patterns of life, the world system and the internal conditions of each country.
And, they found that the humans here were advancing technology for the benefit of the country. The more advanced the technology, the stronger the country.
Even for Secret they were very stupid. Using technology such as nuclear to wage war ended up killing the existence of man himself.
“Our creators don't want the same thing to happen again. The system in which humans govern based on the state. The head of state took a foolish decision that risked his people.”
It was a system that was bound to crumble sooner or later. Therefore, the creator of Secret assigned to look for the person who would destroy such a system.
“What we want is to destroy this world order and build an absolute government. For that exam held and you are the end result.”
Ray was shaken for the first time. This is a clear thing that will make anyone difficult to believe because of what is being talked about on a world scale.
“Autmost government .. You want everything to submit to one leader? That's obviously impossible!”
Serum D from the start may have been perfect. Secret did this only for the selection of the leader.
“K-you want me to fight the world?”
Ray knows his limits. Although there is a way to do it slowly, but there are so many variables that can destroy it.
“No need to do it. Human Evolution is the last mission that can change everything.”
Hearing that Ray immediately understood Secret's intentions and plans. Human evolution is the primary goal.
Through the Degree control everything and build absolute government artificially.
“You want to use Degree to control human?”
“More precisely make use of its sophistication. We have designed certain rules that make them unable to oppose you.”
Utilize the Degree and put certain rules with the reason of maintaining regularity. Ray is required to build something like a company and subjugate everyone through technology from Secret.
Ray must lie about himself as a scientist and slowly reveal Secret's technology.
“You want me to be the biggest liar in the history of this world.”
“You do not need to worry about the operation of all these technologies and things. In addition, we have prepared a special serum for you that will become the leader. Sure, we'll help from behind the scenes.”
Ray furrowed his brows once again, “Serum second? Wouldn't it cause side effects to me if I got the second shot.”
“No need to worry. We have tested it in the long run. In addition, the procedure using this serum is more complicated. You should receive the injections periodically.”
Ray didn't believe him right away. He had already seen for himself what the fate of the person who received the two injections was.
“This serum will not give you another title. This will only maximize the capabilities you already have.”
The second injection will help Ray age much more slowly and be immune to disease. With that, Ray will be able to avoid death from aging.
Not that he's immortal. Even the planet Secret is on doesn't accomplish anything like that. The highlight of their technology is inhibiting aging.
“All control over us and the relics of our creators will be fully under your control. We've seen you struggle without a degree of understanding. With the capacity of your brain, in the future we are sure it will be fine.”
Ray recalled all of his experiences during this trial.
‘I have used the people I am willing to use, and cast out the humans who stand in my way.’
He was initially attracted by this trial invitation to avoid his boredom. When a man knows more things, he will start to get bored and lose interest in anything.
Ray is taught rigorously and has a curse; obsessed. When he has a strong attraction to something, Ray will dig it deep and deeper.
“I never imagined there would be a day where I fall in love ..”
Love is the most distant word and feeling of his life. How can he understand love, when one never knows him?
“Not to women ... not on man—”
Love's different. His obsession will probably go crazy in the long run.
“Today I fell in love with everything that happened to me.”
Get a chance to occupy a throne that is able to change the world, becoming the only one most powerful over the Degree. Ray becomes obsessed about what he starts planning for the future.
“Am I free to do whatever I want?” ask Ray.
“Yes. Freedom is all yours. We are tasked with inheriting this to humans. The rest we can help or retire.”
Ray smiled broadly. It's probably the widest he's ever made.
“Changing the world system just like that is not fun at all. Isn't it great when we take exams on a world scale or country?”
The world will be a fun place soon. Ray's gonna turn him into a playwright who won't bore him.
“I will be the dictator who creates pleasure.”
...~The End~...
Yo. Here the author.
I completely forgot that this novel doesn't have a final chapter yet, hehe. And, yes, because it's been a while so I've forgotten a little bit about the conclusion I'm going to write.
So, maybe this will be disappointing as an ending.
I'll try to explain some of the points that might be questions.
The degree can be defined as a title. In this novel, Serum D plays a role in bringing it up in physical form or not. Easily, Serum D accentuates the talent in a person both conscious and unconscious.
Example, Ben. He has an interest in pantomimes and the Serum D helps him make them real.
Secret is not from Earth. Isn't this too fantasy? Sure didn't. We know the universe is vast, maybe even infinite. And I always believed that we were not alone.
Regarding Secret, you could say he is a blend of AI and robots. Well, at this time we've been introduced to AI and it might only take a few years until we see humanoid robots doing the work.
Yeah, that way. If something is disturbing please ask comment, I will answer it. Although it has forgotten the conclusion you want to make, but the outline of the story still sticks in the head.
Oh, ja. It's a hanging ending, right? Ray Bekum's goal is well explained. And what is the fate ahead of him?
Yes, maybe yes, maybe not. I want to do sci-fi again in the future. After designing half the story of the novel, Im Not MC.
So long ago from this lazy author.
Let's see the next time!
