After discussing the terms of joining Erina, Ray went alone to complete the first assignment as a new member of the Redwest guild.

Ray did not expect that Secret was providing something like that just for the fifth task. Secret seemed to have high hopes for the fifth task.

“Stop the first task, why do I receive the bonus task as well?”

Ray wasn't sure that everyone would accept such a bonus assignment. All Ray knew was that Erina, the Order and the people from the first generation got it.

“I don't think I'll get the same.”

Even so, a good part of the task is the main prize.

Ray now deeply understands why Erina and the Order are competing for him. Even since knowing the contents of his duties, Ray strongly opposed himself not to participate.

The grand prize of his bonus assignment would greatly help him in the future, perhaps as long as they went through the test of Secret.

“Public people will probably find it useless but those who are able to use the brain and strategize will consider this a treasure.”

Ray stared at the sky in silence and started muttering, “Thanks to me overhauling my entire plan.”

After two weeks of thinking about the plan to the point of approaching perfection, now all the plans were destroyed by Ray himself. He will change the whole thing and put in another potential that allows him.

Ray is also looking forward to when he gets a notification about the puzzle to solve the fifth task.

“It looks like you are very ready, huh?”

Erina came with Mein. Ray didn't expect that he'd drive her away even though he shouldn't have bothered to do it.

“If I'm not ready, from the beginning I won't want to enter the basement.”

Ray's first assignment to join the Redwest guild is to enter the basement to register his name through a special tool already provided by Secret.

Ray thought that to join officially he only needed to talk to Erina. Now she understood why Erina always suggested she recover completely before joining.

“You are indeed such a man, yes. I'm so happy that you seem willing to agree to my terms.”

The requirement that the DP Ray gets from the task will be cut by 20% only. It was very profitable considering Ray also did not have to pay for his residence.

The 20% cut is useful for the union providing weapons and supplies.Ray will not complain about it because he understands a little how to manage a large group.

“I can't believe that you asked for that. It doesn't make sense, but it doesn't mean it will hurt me. Quite the opposite.”

What Erina asked for would cost her more than could be seen while Ray arguably benefited. At most Ray will only lose his status which will eventually be lost.

Ray doesn't know what he means but at least it's worthless. From the beginning he could never understand how complicated a creature called a woman was.

“Whatever it is, I'll go now.” Ray won't waste any more time.

Before it gets dark he'll finish it as fast as he can.

Remembering the person from the same place, Ray almost forgot that there were two other people who should have survived.

“Besides me and Ronald, there should be two others. Did you invite him to join?”

Ray doesn't really care but he's a little interested in the fate of both. Whether the brand will be stuck by Erina or not, it is interesting to know about it.

Erina and Mein should arrive sooner than the newbie participants who have not yet made a Name Card a requirement to arrive at the Open World.

There's nothing special about it. After all Erina was not in a race for who came faster. But there is another meaning stored from his actions.

“That means he completed the fourth task without worry and rest?”

Erina nodded in agreement to Ray's conclusion.

“Yes. I met him when I got here. At first I wanted to take her to my residence because she could use it but she refused it so much that there was a dispute between us.”

Ray does not know the details but Erina stated that it was very bad. There were about eight strongmen from Redwest suffering severe injuries while confronting him.

“Even I was unable to deal with it despite having played a very strong role. That person is obviously very strong, even he is able to defeat me without injuring or attacking me in the slightest.”

“Without injuring or attacking? Did he use some kind of scientific weapon or Degree that could do those things?”

If it is true then the person should be given vigilance.

“No. He just dodged my attack, held back, and sometimes hugged me whenever I was about to fall. With that kind of stuff he's able to make me tired. Besides there's a strong feeling where I don't want to hurt him.”

“Yes. He seemed to have such a strong authority that it was impossible for people to oppose him. I know it's childish yet he feels like a hero.”

A unique way of equating him with a hero but Ray knows what Erina is trying to achieve.

In many fictional stories, heroes are portrayed as people who have strong authority and radiate kindness so that people will submit to them.

It seems that a man named Retsuji Arthur has some authority, or perhaps a similar charisma like that.

“Then where is he now? Is it possible that he joined the eastern union?”

Erina shook her head, “I don't think so. In fact, he himself said that he did not like to be under the orders of others. I can slightly trust his words regardless of what his Degree.” is
