The Degree

The Degree
Secret Room II

Ray instructs that to open the door he must press the button inside the eagle's mouth, but to find the button is not easy. They need another button to find it.

“So, and you want me to look for it?” ask Indri.

Ray nodded, “Ya, just that I myself do not know for sure where the location is.”

To open the door there is usually a certain system, but because the place was once burned so that the tool has been destroyed. Surely there is a manual way as he is doing right now.

There are two buttons that must be pressed together for Ray to pull the lever and open the door. Ray doesn't know where the second button is for sure, but at least he's sure it's around here.

“This is definitely not easy to look for,” said Indri, sighing tiredly and starting to do his search.

“As I recall the button is in an easy place to find.”

Ray began to try to recall and close his eyes, a memory that was worn out in his childhood. He did not remember it very clearly. The thing he remembered was that the button was in a place that was easy to find because the safest place was one that no one else would think of.

It happened when Ray was first allowed to enter the secret room to be introduced with some things so that he was not so surprised at the end. At that time he was about seven years old.

I don't know what happened at that time but the system is experiencing interference and they have to do it manually. It is regrettable that Ray paid little attention to him and did not remember him well at the time.

‘For me there was nothing else I would meet other than a sheet of paper that I had to fill in the answers on it perfectly. Thanks to that many things I have missed.’

Starting from past his time to play at the age he should be, leaving all those precious things only to fulfill the great ambitions of his father.

Ray had long since not counted how many times and how much he wished to sleep without ever being able to open his eyes again. Not infrequently attempted suicide he did but continued to be thwarted. Until the time finally comes when Ray is desperate and begins to dedicate his time to living his miserable life.

Man is required to be free. Suppose that freedom is taken away from it, then they will move to revolt and reclaim the rights they have.

At the height of his feelings of imprisonment, Ray moves to reclaim his freedom by relying on the knowledge given by his father; which should be used to fulfill his ambitions.

When Ray opened his eyes, he shot Indri had begun to feel in various places and complained because upset his efforts did not produce any results.

“Fuck with who built it! Is this not science fiction or something? Did the person who built this take drugs and think of all these silly ideas?”

Indri is Indri, it is characteristic to say degrading things. Among the Degree users he may be the only person who is good at tongue-licking and poisonous.

The longer he looked for him the more frustrated he was and Indri started kicking the wall with the soles of his feet.

“Sial!”

When his kick hit the wall, the wall made a strange sound. Indri realized this, he kicked her once again to another place and found her voice different.

His first kick produced a loud sound, while the other kick did not make the same sound.

“Maybe ..”

“What's up?” asked Ray who was staring confused because Indri just kicked since earlier.

There is something, Indri brought his face closer and saw it well. There was a square line the size of a fist on the wall, although there were many lines forming like that, only one had a different sound when struck.

Indri drew his knife and with precision pierced right between the lines. It made a hole in the wall and a slight spark from the two metals clashed.

“Already expected,” Indri smiled and started beaming while prying the wall, “There is here!”

The square was dented and opened, revealing a red button hiding behind it. There was no doubt, it was the button they were looking for.

“Great you can find it.” Ray gave his praise, he thought Indri would be happy but just the opposite.

“Oi, is that right? You said it was in an easy place to find but this is no longer easy name!”

“Sorry,” said Ray. “That memory is so worn out that I can't remember clearly.”

Indri no longer seems to be concerned about it but now there are other things that bother him.

‘Actually who is Ray? Why does his house have something as absurd as this? His parents must not be a figure that can be underestimated.’

Indri is quite interested in his background. How not? It should only be places like state palaces or such that have secret rooms.

Even if a certain person had a secret room up to this, then that person should have an important thing hidden.

“For now let's press together and set the timing. This stage is very important, passing a little will make us lose our lives.”

Indri stunned, “Losing lives .. what do you mean?”

Ray doesn't really know everything about his home despite being raised there. There were many things he had to learn and do so that there was no time to understand the various things hidden in the house.

“Although I can't guarantee it but I'm sure this place will explode if we make a small mistake when opening it.”

The basement that became a secret room in that place had a lot of important things such as secret state documents and some unresolved cases that had been buried by time.

Ray knew very well that the things in the place should not be known in general and to do so needed preventive measures.

“Where did you know that it could have happened?” asked Indri curiously.

The answer is so simple that Ray is very lazy to answer it. Even so, he did not intend to cover it up because maybe Indri would be asking a lot of questions over useless things about this.

“Easy ... because I am his son.”

The answer is simple, but no one wants to dispute it. Simply put, in this world the relationship between parent and child is a sensitive thing.

Hate to admit it, but if Ray sells the relationship between parents and children regardless of whether he has a blood bond or not. By saying such a thing, in the future he did not need to answer troublesome things.
