Laying on two weak legs, barely collapsing without any energy was very difficult to do. Balance is lost but the body refuses to collapse.
A cold night breeze blew the leaves off a tall tree standing upright under an overpass until only the leaves were clearly visible.
Down there, there is a lake that is divided by a large bridge with the ripples of water that is calm but washed away.
Long strands of black hair are carried away flying along with the cold wind that brushes the hair to the soul that is gamelang.
On the edge of the road, just above the road barrier wall, stood a woman who was staring at the ripples of lake water before her. His face was puffy with a blank look, his nose was red with swollen eyes like he had let out all his tears until it ran out.
Only the last tear in the corner of the eye that he let dry was carried by the wind that hit his face.
His heavy sigh felt very crowded with a lot of anger that churned in the chest cavity. Sometimes he closed his eyes hoping that all the shadows of today's events would disappear from his mind. Please, don't be so noisy, I'm so tired, maybe so deaf in my heart.
Unfortunately the longer it seems like the contents of his head are getting frenetic. The more sounds he hears with a variety of emotions combined into one. And the longer the shadow of disappointment in his mind the more real he alternated without being able to stop.
Stretching her hands, looking up at the dark night sky, the woman closed her eyes. Just for a moment, being under the night sky that was illuminated by thousands of stars while he felt very lonely, should be this for the last time. Next time, he wanted to feel the warmth of the starlight that shone on him and made him not feel alone.
No, not just the sky. Maybe all of these things were quite natural for the last time.
One more step, he stepped foot towards the steep end of the smash, then all this sad story would be over. There was no one there other than a few passing vehicles and occasionally captured what they saw.
“That's a real girl what kuntilanak anyway?” one of the teenagers who was on a motorcycle bonnet, stopped the speed of his vehicle and then pulled over.
He looked carefully at the woman standing at the end of the highway overpass.
One teenager who was on top of the bonfire took notice. His eyes widened as he realized something was wrong with the woman.
“She's suicidal bagok!” the teenager's timpal. He got off the motor slowly and walked faster, approaching the woman.
“True girl huh?” the teenager who was still on the bike came down. All he remembers now is getting his phone out of his pocket, turning on the camera and then taking some photos and videos and posting them on his social media page.
“Viral now for sure!” again in a hurry. For him this is a rare opportunity that can make his social media account viral.
As fast as finger typing, the live video that was aired was followed by many people and immediately showered with many comments. The teenager seemed engrossed in replying to every comment that came with an answer made as if the atmosphere was very gripping.
Her friend prefers to get closer to her.
“Deketin dong ngab!” comment from one netizen.
“Hahahaha.” The teenager laughed cheerfully as it managed to get a lot of attention.
“Set deketin bro!” he continued enthusiastically.
But his call was ignored by his friend. The teenager instead walked over to the woman who seemed to ignore their commotion.
“Kak, lo again what?” ask the teenager. He kept getting closer to the woman who was just silent.
“Bro, I zoom ya?” whispered his friend who approached.
“Whispering bego! Other people like gini you even fun live! Crazy lo ya!” Hardik teenager while dismissing his friend's phone.
The phone fell and was thrown far away.
“Haish! Anjrit lo emang.” The teenager immediately took his phone. “Geblek , the screen is until crack gini.” His grunts, did not accept his phone as a victim. He rubbed his phone screen with his sleeve.
“What's up deck?” ask someone from inside the car who stopped near the teenager.
“Tau bang, someone wants to kill themselves kali.” Said indifferently. Checking your phone is much more important.
No wait for long, until then some cars and motorcycles come to a stop and see what happens in front of them. They huddled and started to get rowdy.
“Kak, don't go forward!” the teenager. One step that the woman was about to take stopped.
“There is dangerous, here you give your hand to me okey.” Persuade the teenager, extending his hand.
The woman lowered her outstretched hand. Her pale lips smiled knotingly. There was pain that he kept behind the pull of his lip line.
With an anxious face and trying to calm down, the teenager approached.
“Trust me, give your hand to me. If there's anything, I can hear you. You can say everything is fine. No need,”
“Stop.” Wiry of that woman. Slowly but firmly.
The teenager's steps were stopped with a face covered in worry.
People were crowding more and more and vehicles pulled over to find out what was blocking their way. Some took out their phones and did the same thing, recording and photographing. Some people called the police station for help.
“Okey, I stopped but please lo don't go forward. Please give your hand to me,” his voice sounds stammering. It is not easy to persuade someone who has the desire to end his life, to stop.
“Lo quiet okey.” The teenager settles closer, his steps are careful not to disturb the woman who looks desperate.
“Let your hands to me, hem?” He extended his hand again.
Seeing how messy the woman looked, it would not be a joke if then she stood on the edge of the abyss and was ready to jump.
Slowly the woman nodded. Her tears that were already dry, came back dripping without a puff. His dry lips were shaking, like muttering but no sound was heard.
The teenager scrunched his forehead. Like the woman giving the last message.
“Gue does not hear the sound of lo!" the teenager was half panicked.
"Whatever you want to takein, you're here. Front me directly.” Again, he tried to persuade.
The woman just shook her head. Then he smiled. No longer trying to talk, as his strength ran out. And in a few moments,
“AAARRGGG!!!!!!!” several people shouted as suddenly the woman took a step back while closing her eyes before then choosing to drop her body from a height.
“KAK!!!” the teenager was screaming. His outstretched hands were now trembling and his legs were limp. His eyes were perfectly rounded not believing that the woman was really no longer in front of him. The woman he persuaded with great difficulty, went the way he chose himself.
“BYUR!!” followed by the sound of water that gushed when the body of the woman who splashed into the lake.
“BELLA!!!” shouted a man who had suddenly galloped towards the edge of the road, following the woman. And,
“BYURR!!” the second voice was followed by the cries of those who saw.
Silent. Yes for a few moments all was silent with their empty minds without being able to think anything.
“What are they dead?” Maybe that's the only question they have in mind.
In a few moments, they compactly ran towards the edge of the road. Looking down the bridge that turned out to be very high distance from the surface of the lake. Only water ripples are visible on the surface.
“What are they dead?” asked a woman trembling.
The teenager just nodded. Looking at the distance of the bridge and the lake this high, he was not sure if the two people survived.
Down there, a man swims diving into the lake. He was looking for the body of the woman he had been following. Luckily the lake water is not too cloudy so it can still see in the water even though faintly.
His eyes were rounded as the woman's body was already floating in the water with her eyes closed. There was no attempt to revolt as the deep lake water slowly filled his mouth, nose and lung cavities. Only the water bubbles then came out along with the breath that was almost exhausted. Like he was ready for what he was going to face.
The man quickly approached the woman and grabbed her body. At the pull of the woman's body to the surface and then swim quickly to the edge of the lake.
Lying it in a flat place with the whole body soaked. Water droplets still crept through his sturdy jaw and then dripped along with water from his hair.
“BELLA!! YO!! BELAA!!!” call the man and pat the woman on the face.
His round eyes looked red and filled with anxiety.
“BELLA PLEASEEEEE BELL!!!” his voice was almost desperate.
The woman named Bella did not respond in the slightest.
He quickly checked Bella's breathing, bringing her ears closer to Bella's nose and mouth. No breath felt. His chest did not look to move up and down like someone who was breathing normally.
In his examination Bella's pulse, still felt even though weak. Without waiting for long, he immediately compressed Bella's chest alternately by giving an artificial breath.
“Bella!!! Survive bell!!!” the man muttered as he continued compressing Bella's chest.
Three times doing the same, compressing and giving artificial breath until finally,
“HUWEK!!” Bella spewed water from her respiratory tract.
The man quickly grabbed Bella's body and helped her wake up. In Bella's arms tightly. Slightly able to breathe a sigh of relief as he could hear Bella's breathing still buzzing.
“Bella, hey! You're safe bell, you’ll be okay hem? Hey...” patted Bella's tired-looking face and tried to breathe heavily.
Bella looked at the man in front of her who looked panicked. Clingy for a while, though,
“Devan...” he whispered.
“Yes it's me. It's me bell.” Devan hugged Bella. There was a cry in her custody amongst the gratitude as this woman was still breathing in her arms.
Bella's just glued. Without any residual energy, he finally fell limp and fell unconscious in Devan's arms .
“Gue tired, van.” His mind, before him his consciousness was completely gone.
