Seeing that the two people were only silent to each other, Bella immediately approached Devan. She felt she had to wake up her husband.
“Mas, that's papah Mas. Didn't you intend to chase him?” Bella asked as she touched her husband's shoulder.
Devan's sad face, now staring at Bella.
“Do you not recognize me Bell? Or papah hates me?” Devan asked without being able to get out of place.
“Mas! How could papah hate Mas?” Bella clasped her husband's arm and shook it, to wake Devan but the man was only bowed when he realized that maybe Amri did hate him.
Flashbacks
That day, Devan came home early from school. He was among Ozi with bruises all over his face and blood dripping from his nose. All of that happened because Devan could not fight the upperclassmen who forced to take his money and failed to win the fight. Until he was beaten up completely by 5 upperclassmen.
Seeing Devan coming home bleeding, the waiter in the house looked very panicked. He decided to contact his employer because he did not know what to do.
“What's Bi?” Ask Amri from there.
Devan's parents were on their way home after finishing their work out of town.
“Ampun sir, aden's hurt. His nose was bleeding a lot and did not stop when I was given a tampon in his nose. School teacher said, maybe his nose was broken.” The servant in Devan's house.
“Bi! Why say the same papah?!” Devan exclaimed in annoyance.
“Ma-Sorry Den,..” The waiter looked trembling.
“Bi, what's wrong? Devan why?” Anggita's voice was heard there.
“Anu, mistress. Aden was injured at school and I will take aden to a doctor near here.”
“Ya already, take Devan first to the nearest doctor. After I get home, we'll take her to the hospital.” Amri's message by phone.
“Good sir.” The call ended.
In a hurry, Ozi and Devan's servant immediately take Devan to the doctor nearest to his house. He was examined carefully and the doctor suggested that Devan be taken to the hospital. The wound on his nose may be serious and an X-ray should be done for a more definitive result.
After receiving treatment, Devan was brought back home. He did not go to the hospital because he was still waiting for his parents.
Arriving home, Devan sees a police car parked in front of his house. Knocked on the door a few times and the servant immediately approached.
Devan was already scared because he thought he would be arrested for fighting with his upperclassman. Not a few of them were also injured because Devan had fought back. But then the police asked,
“What is the residence of father Amri and mother Anggita?” The two policemen knew his parents.
“Iya right sir, what's wrong sir?” ask the waiter who is confused.
“Sorry, we have to tell the family, that Mr. Amri had an accident and is now in the hospital.” Light up that cop.
Instantly, Devan's ears felt like they were ringing and his head was spinning. He still does not believe what he heard, especially when he heard that the cause of both parents accident due to lack of phone while driving.
Devan could only be glued to his place with an empty mind. What exactly was Devan the cause of the accident?
And until now he could not move his legs to catch up with Amri who walked away from him.
The feeling of destruction is still the same, painful, yes very painful.
Seeing Devan who was just speechless, Bella decided to catch up with Amri. He blocked Amri's limping footsteps.
The man stopped and looked at Bella questioningly.
“I'm sorry I had to meet om like this. Sorry if my way is not polite. Me, Bella. Wife mas Devan.” said Bella without hesitation introduced herself.
She grabbed Amri's hand and kissed him.
Amri was stunned when he heard Bella's words. Bella's familiar name makes Amri remember the figure of a little girl who approached her 15 years ago.
A little girl who also introduced herself as Bella approached him. He offered a glass of mineral water with a piece of pandanus cake in his hand.
“Bella loi, om haven't eaten and drank since. Are you not hungry? Does your stomach not hurt?” Asked the girl with a pair of eyes that worried her. Exactly the pair of eyes that are now in his eyes.
Unknowingly, tears melted down Amri's cheeks. The tears he tried to endure ever since he saw his son sitting waiting on the bench.
“Me and mas Devan came to pick up om.” Bella even took over the duffel bag from Amri's weak hands. Like not giving this confused man a loophole to reject his invitation.
“Mas Devan is indeed gondrong, but om recognize it right?” Bella pointed to the husband standing in the distance.
Amri did not then answer but only swallowed his saliva roughly.
He knew his son very well. A very familiar face and inherited 70% of the look on the face of the wife that can never be forgotten. The more he saw Devan's face, the more guilt he felt for causing his wife's death.
But this time, it seemed like he could no longer shy away from Devan and the beautiful woman claiming to be his wife.

In the living room of the apartment Devan and Amri are currently located. They sat side by side with tense bodies like the atmosphere that had filled this room since.
They were both confused, where to start their conversation.
“How are you doing papah?” Devan started the question.
He glanced at the man sitting next to him and was looking at the family photo next to the television. Photo with Anggita and Devan.
“Still the same, papah remains a ruined man.” Said Amri while tightening his hand grip on a stick that faithfully helped him walk.
15 Years in detention to make amends, but the guilt never goes away. The shadow of the face of the wife who died on her lap, never timid. Her guilt grew as she realized that she had made her son struggle to live alone. Separated from her and of course from the mother she loved so much.
“Why don't you ever want to see Devan? Papah also never returned Devan's letters. Is Papah still mad at Devan?” Tanya Devan.
Like a child who whines and needs answers to all the questions that have been kept.
“For what angry papah?” Amri asked back. Just this time he looked at the face of the child that made him feel guilty.
“Because, because Devan is not a strong child as papah expected.” Devan's voice was shaking.
“If only that day Devan wasn't weak. If only that day Devan wouldn't have let them hit Devan. Aren't we always going to be together?” devan lirih.
Amri does not want to be. He looked at Devan's sad and sad face. The wounds in his heart opened again. The wounds he never managed to close.
He gets Devan's body for him to hug, one thing he's always wanted to do a long time ago but never had the courage to do.
“Im sorry papah Nak. Forgive papah.” Amri's cry sounded softly in Devan's ear.
“Because of the fear and guilt papah when facing you, papah instead makes you feel guilty son. Forgive papah.” Repeatedly Amri said his apology while hugging Devan tightly.
“You should not feel guilty because it all happened as a result of papah's own negligence. Papah is guilty.” Amri gripped Devan's shoulder firmly, to shed the feeling that had been in his pendam.
Hearing Amri's words, it seems Devan knows the reason why the father would not use the services of a lawyer to defend him first. He let Alwi charge him with a heavy charge because he realized that he was the only person to blame for the tragedy.
Devan broke his embrace from Amri, then looked at the face of a man who was no longer young.
“Devan never blames papah for the departure of mamah.” Devan clasped Amri's wrinkled hand tightly.
“Devan knows exactly that papah loves mamah and Devan very much. So, never once Devan disappointed with papah. Although had to lose mamah, Devan tau papah never accidentally caused the accident to happen.” Devan continued with understanding.
Amri no longer chimed in, only the sound of crying came back and broke in Devan's arms.
Out there, Bella hears all of Devan's conversations with Amri. He chose to stay here for a while, until then the two people who loved each other finished expressing their feelings for each other.
