Bella POV
Today everything feels bad. Seeing this brother who had been whining all day to go home, made my feelings uncertain. Mamah who just knew the true condition of her brother, could only cry while massage the hands of her brother who was actually fine.
After the doctor's examination and signed a letter of refusal of action, we were sent home. Brother still had to use a wheelchair to get to the car, on his lap there was one scraping of painkillers and other drugs to reduce the symptoms of recurrence of brother pain.
Yes, in the end this time me and my mom had to be patient following my brother's will. Maybe he needs time to convince himself that he can go through a scary treatment process for him.
Devan, a friend and confidant brother also failed to persuade.
He just said, “We can't really understand your brother's current feelings. No one wants to recover from his illness, I'm sure he does too. But for now, we better respect his decision.” Said the adult.
Yeah, he's a grown-up sometimes, but this time it's true. My fear and my brother's fear are certainly different and now I can only respect the decision you made.
“Dek, if you want to go to the office with Devan, to the office only. I can go home with you by taxi.” Again the request is annoying for me.
“Yes is not bang. I have plans to leave today, I am at home. Nulis can also be at home.” My Kilah.
“Do not in biasain ah kayak that.” My brother rubbed my face with his big palm.
“Gue does not want to be treated specifically because I am sick. It makes me more anxious if I am sick.” He could have reasoned.
I just looked at Mama and mamah nodded in agreement.
“Yes if so. But I didn't go back to Van's office. I need to find inspiration. A little more my writing is done.”
Hah, I'm not ready with the office atmosphere that sometimes feels stiff. I need some refreshment.
Wait, it feels like my communication with Devan is starting to relax, yes quite relaxed not as me and as awkward as before.
“It's not pa-pa. You do not have to rush mengelesein everything.” He was understanding too apparently.
After we finally agreed, we split up. Mamah and brother got back in a cab, Devan went back to the office and me, and I,
I prefer to stay at the bus stop while deciding which path I will take to refresh my mind.
I sat for a long time at the bus stop. Watching the people and vehicles passing in front of me. I don't know where they're headed. Either coming home or just leaving and either directional or indecisive like me.
I took the bus without a purpose. Whatever the place this bus goes. While jostling, I stood up and held on to the grip handle so as not to squash. I watch the activities of people around me. Someone is busy calling, someone is talking to his friend. There are also moody like me and some even fall asleep. Sometimes I need to look at all of this to add to my inspiration.
The bus stopped at the next stop. This time I chose to go down. I walked into a Mall where I was in the title of a talent search for young people. I took some pictures on my camera phone and captured different angles.
The busyness of the people around me is enough to add to my thinking.
“Please stop by, we are again soft opening. There are a variety of ice cream and tea drinks that you might like.” Tawar a waitress who stood in front of the door of a newly opened cafe.
An interesting offer for me.
I ordered some food and drinks. Just for myself, but it's quite entertaining. So remember what Devan said last night, let's just say it's comfort. Sometimes I need to entertain myself.
While enjoying the tea and food in front of me, I turned on my laptop. A few sentences I made to add a description to my script. Not bad, I can complete one part. There was only one more part that I had to finish before I went to Devan and discussed the script from our perspective as a screenwriter and director.
The sound of a phone ringing rattled me from being immersed in a narrative. Inka, the name on my phone.
“Belksyyy…. Lo where? Said Bima was sick?” I have not had time to say hello or greetings, the sound of the Inca has already filled my ear cavity.
“Hem, I'm again outside.” My solute. I kept a little distance from my phone because I was sure the Inca would come back with a loud voice, making my ears deaf.
“Keep the condition of Bima how? How can you not say that Bima is sick? I can go home, right?” sure enough, the Inca could introgasi me in one breath.
I paused for a moment, either having to agree or reject the Inca's request.
“Gue take what if you want to go to your house? How do you like kayak food?” it doesn't seem like it will work if it's rejected.
“Lo don't bother. Want to go home yes to home aja.” I finally resigned.
“Okey, I am ready first, it must be beautiful to meet Bima mas same candidate-in-law, hehehe.... I'll be sure yaa..”.
"Yes yes... Be careful on the road." I ordered.
Huft, it looks like I should end my join session today. I'm not sure everything's gonna be okay if the Incas come home.
Just go home….
*****
Inka looked nervous as she stood in front of the door. His hands clenched firmly, hesitating to knock. He has played to Bella's house several times but this time it feels so different. Usually he comes to see Bella but this time is special to meet Ozi.
Since his message was not answered by Ozi a few days ago, only today will he talk to the man he adores since he first met in this house.
“Am I really not able to know the news of Bima?” tanyanya at that time.
And Ozi just said, "Lo can focus more on each other, beyond me." a short rejection and make Inka grimace.
He finds out that Ozi and Bella are fighting over family issues. And, he had a hand in that matter as an informant about Bella and Rangga.
Maybe this time he should ask her directly.
From the bus stop, there was someone who ran quickly towards the ojek base. It was Bella who was in a hurry to wear a helmet and asked the motorcycle taxi driver to leave immediately.
“Housing angkrek moon right mba?” ask the taxi driver, confirm the address Bella is going to.
“Number 23. Cepetan bang, direct gas!” yells.
“Siap mba!!” spirit sahut.
He was in a hurry because he remembered that there was now Devan living in his house. What happens if the Inca meets Devan and finds out that Devan is staying at his house?
Arrrgghhhh why did he forget?
The motor drove quickly into the housing complex. Bella watched the straight road before her. It feels like he just rolls the road so that the journey is faster.
While watching the road ahead, Bella tries to contact Devan. He wanted to ask that the man not go home first so as not to meet the Inca. Unfortunately there was not a single call Devan answered.
“Where the hell is the child?!” bella's snort is desperate.
“In front bang!” he patted the shoulder of the taxi driver to warn him.
“Siaaapp.” The motor stopped at the road.
“This fare. Thanks yaa... change take aja.” cerocos Bella who immediately down and go.
“Eehh mba wait,,,” exclaims the taxi driver.
“Alleta? Less? Usually it is too.” Bella's bitter annoyed.
“Not mba, it's my helmet.” the man pointed over Bella's head.
“Oh goshaaa.. Sorry bang, forgot.” Bella quickly took off her helmet. In a hurry, there is something left behind.
“This, thanks ya!”
“Iya mba, equally.” Sahut.
Bella immediately opened the gate, walked quickly towards the door and when the door was opened, someone was pecking behind the door looking at Devan in confusion.
“Inka!!!” bella from the door.
“Bell?” The Inca turned her head but her hand still pointed at Devan.
“Gue lebihin! Follow me!” Bella immediately pulled the index finger of the Inca and walked up to her. While Devan sculpted the confusion mixed with surprise.
“Mas Bima knows Devan?” that question was immediately asked by the Inca after entering Bella's room.
“Iyaaa, but do not think macem-macem.” Bella put the things in her hands on the study table, then sat the Inca on the edge of her bed.
“Emang you think I think what?” Inca looked at Bella.
“From your face looks very good to her. Kok bang Ozi knows Devan, how do I know him, why is Devan here, why can he stay with me, why does he.”
“Hah? Mas Devan stay here?” The Inca quotes one sentence Bella.
Bella's mouth closed. Apparently the Inca question didn't get there.
“Em no, I mean,” Bella confusion herself. It was not the Inca who asked, but he himself told.
“No! Answer my question first. Mas Devan stay here?” Inca held onto Bella's shoulder and looked at her fixedly.
This way Bella can't lie.
“I-Yes,..” is right.
Unexpectedly, Inca suddenly hugged Bella making Bella even more shocked.
“Thank God Bell, now we have Bima. Not only fight opponents like lo.” said Inka while tightening his embrace on Bella.
“I-Iyaa..” Bella is really surprised.
The fear he had in his mind was inversely proportional to the content of Inca thought. The Inca did not ask why Devan lived in his house and how they came to know him. Should Bella be grateful?
“Gue can meet Bima, right?” pinta Inka really. This was more important for the Incas. It was clear that his anxiety was after hearing the news that Ozi was sick.
“Bby. But, I ask not to talk weird huh.. Especially about me. Please...” Bella begged the Inca.
“Iyaa…. I have stopped being the informant in Bima. He doesn't need me anymore. Maybe because there is a Devan mas that he can ask. O yes, by the way why Devan,”
Bella's eyes immediately rounded hearing the beginning of the Inca question. The Inca cannot be predicted.
“No need much, let me anter you meet my brother.” Bella quickly pulls the Inca's hand.
“Tar first, I get ready first Belsky.”
The Inca stopped in front of the mirror and tidied up its appearance. Starting from his lipstick, smiling to see the row of his teeth worried about not being clean and of course tidying up his clothes.
“Udah saucy. Come!!” Bella pulls Inca's hand to follow her. While the contents of his head are still thinking of the reason if the Inca ask why Devan can stay in his house.
Walking up the stairs and seen Ozi was in the rooftop garden with Saras. They were chatting and saw Saras who smiled crazily at the son.
“Mah, no temen adek.” Bella said pausing the conversation of the mother and child. Saras immediately looked over.
“Eh, son Inca. Come here son.” Welcome Saras.
The woman immediately went to welcome the Inca while Ozi just fell silent in her place, not turning her head in the slightest.
“How are aunty?” The Inca took Saras' hand which he kissed.
“Alhamdulillah healthy. Sit nak,”
Inka sat awkwardly, she looked at Ozi who was just speechless on the spot.
“Inka jengukin lo nih bang.” Bella. He took his place beside Saras.
“Hem,” said with a faint smile.
“Mas Bima how are you?” ask Inka attentively.
“As you can see now, no less no more.” Sahut Ozi.
“Abang...” Saras took Ozi's hand and held it. The mere smiling Inca got a cold response from Ozi.
“Adek make a drink first yaa..” Bella pampit that Saras.
Leaving Inca with her mother and sister, Bella occasionally turned her head. Very awkward feeling, but usually Inca is good at melting the atmosphere. Yeah, maybe it's different if the person he's dealing with is the one he likes.
“ASTAGA!!” bella exclaimed as she almost hit Devan standing in her path.
“Lo what the hell is there? Standing up straight, already like a statue.” protest Bella who is still shocked. He rubbed his chest to calm his racing heart.
“Gue from earlier here, lo the road is not clay-wild.” Kilah Devan won't budge.
“Yes I mean, lo see me the road continues almost nabrak lo, yes lo initiative move. Don't turn my way.” protested Bella with annoyance.
“Emang there are statues that can move by themselves?” asked Devan nonchalantly. He put the rest of the biscuits back in his mouth.
“Astyachaaa, you really ngeselin ya.”
“Bruk!” bella accidentally crashes her shoulder into Devan's arm and Devan just smiles. It's fun to bother Bella, just like old times.
Bella is planning to make a drink for the Inca. He took a glass and a can of sugar. The tea box that was nearby had run out, forced him to open the kitchen set door on his head. A little tiptoe to reach the handle of the kitchen set and yes it works. Her hands fumbled through the contents of the kitchen set, looking for a teabag box.
“Ke right dikit.” Devan said from his place.
Bella cheated but followed Devan's lead. His body is not too high, making it difficult.
“Eh wrong, means left.” He tried to smile because he managed to stroke Bella.
“Ngeselin lo ya! Just start things!” grouse Bella. He searched randomly and right on the left he found a box of tea bags.
Get one teabag and the rest, “BUK!!” he threw it at Devan.
Binggo, Devan caught it and smiled. Bella's reply was the middle finger he was pointing at Devan.
Whether there is any wind, Devan so avid bothering him like this.
“Lo is at home, it's better for brother same nyokap lo.” suddenly Devan made a sound. He approached Bella and placed the tea box next to Bella's hand.
“Gue not going anywhere.” Timpal Bella. He glanced at Devan, who was leaning on the kitchen set and was eating an apple that the Inca brought.
“Get out of the house out of anger, it was too childish. You can fight with your family, but never leave them.” Devan looked at Bella with a page.
Bella's hand rubbing the tea stopped. Put the spoon down rough.
“Sorry, how was it? Fellow?!” He looked at Devan who was looking at him sharply.
When he met the man's eyes, he immediately distracted him.
Bella smiled cynically.
“Enteng very lo by the way. You do not know, there are people who like to suddenly go without any clarity and suddenly come again without guilt. Want, I know not the same person?” challenge Bella.
Devan smiled slightly, he crossed his arms in front of his chest while playing the rest of the apples in his hands.
“The person may have made the wrong decision as a child. But I'm sure, he's desperate because he can't explain why. And if he explained, maybe you will not understand at that time.” this time Devan stared back at Bella.
For a few seconds they looked at each other, trying to understand the contents of each head.
“Oh yes? You seem to understand the mind of the man.” again Bella smiled cynically.
“It used to be possible he was still a child but now he's an adult who doesn't have the guts to explain anything. And worse, he did not have the courage to just apologize, whereas,” Bella leaned her body towards Devan with a voice made slower but full of emphasis.
“Sorry,” says Devan. He looked at Bella's face right in front of him.
Bella did not answer. He swallowed his saliva which suddenly made his throat feel full. Honestly he was surprised by Devan's sudden speech.
“Lo can accept that?” coined.
Bella's just glued. He pulled his body away. Put a cup of tea on top of his saucer. Instead of giving it to the Inca, he drank quickly. Devan was silent while watching Bella.
After being satisfied to drink his own tea, he pulled the trash bag that was near his feet.
“Can you throw away? Apology it takes effort.” Tutored firmly.
Devan just put on a smile and didn't refuse. He picked up the trash bag and walked out of the house. Behind her, Bella followed with two empty boxes that she was about to throw away. Sometimes Devan looks back and Bella throws her face away when Devan turns her head.
Devan smiled, Bella is still Bella. When he is confused what to behave like, he will do random things.
“Bruk!!” the trash bag made it into the barrel. Followed with two boxes stored on it.
“There's something else?” ask Devan.
Bella just sniffed her shoulder. This man is trying to make amends but either Bella can quickly forgive him or not.
“Bell,” a voice breaks Bella and Devan's mind. The two turned their heads and were both shocked when they saw a man standing before them.
“Rangga?”
Without them noticing, there was one more person who saw this from a distance.
Yes, there was Jihan who saw Devan's whereabouts at Bella's house. His face looks cold. Just a few moments he watched until then he put his sunglasses back on and stuck the gas going somewhere.
Oow...., how did he face Rangga this time?
