Bella's Script

Bella's Script
Residual destruction

The nanar gaze was still Bella aimed at the vehicles that were racing in front of her. The dust of the road blown and the noise of the horn to the sein lights that give each other a sign does not necessarily divert Bella's mind from Devan's statement a moment ago.

His hand was still firmly grasping the steering wheel in his grasp. His heart was still unsettled after hearing what Devan had said earlier.

“Married?”

“Crazy!” Bella sneers.

“She ngajak I married when I wear pajamas, not shower and dry. Silly!” Bella shook her head.

But then he was pensive, thinking right of Devan's invitation to marry. It was not a trivial invitation for a recent introductory process. The time they spent together was so short. Bella doesn't even know who Devan is. For him it's too soon to start a relationship that starts with the word marriage. And Devan, did he miss that Bella was a broken woman?

Not only his heart, but his mentality had been broken and destroyed by a man who had been part of his life for a third of the age he passed. It's difficult. The wound in Bella's heart is still gaping and I don't know when she will heal.

"Lo didn't make the distance to Rangga Bell, that'd make it hard to eat him." Said the Inca while accompanying him to drink a warm drink in the tent.

"He keeps coming, nyemperin lo, gush time behind Amara, because he is still very confident that you can open your heart when to him. Aren't you afraid that one day he'll find a way to get into your life again Bell?"

Inka's question now took a look at Bella's heart.

He did not even know if his heart was completely closed to Rangga or just being receiving pain while hoping Rangga himself would heal his wounds?

It's stupid, yes Bella realizes this is stupid if she hopes the person who has hurt her will come to heal her wound.

But he could not deny that his togetherness with Rangga all this time, it is not that easy he forgot. The more he ran away from Rangga's shadow, the stronger his memories with Rangga clung to his mind. So, should he not let Rangga around him, until then the wound healed itself and used to remember Rangga without feeling anything even though he remembered it.

And now Devan's presence is too sudden. He was not prepared to be let down by someone he thought would be by his side forever. His defense is not that strong if then he is back in broken.

What he was thinking at this moment, wouldn't it be necessary to dive too deep if on the surface alone it was already painful?

Given Devan, Bella is still not out of her mind. It could be that the man played with the feeling of Bella as if preparing if she was willing to be made a choice or to vent Bella's disappointment. You idiot! Think Bella. Marriage is not something that can be duplicated let alone made desperate. But looking at the look in her eyes, Bella knew Devan meant it. The man who was always cold had a warm heart.

And her tears, these are the second tears that Bella sees other than when she cries for her mother's departure.

“Tet! Teeett!!!” The sound of a horn resuscitates Bella from her daydream.

“Job! You think this street has its own lo?!” Shouts Bella reflexes from inside the car.

I don't know why he became so sensitive. The presence of people around him feels like a threat. It's something that's very difficult for him to control.

But yelling and cursing turns out not to make his feelings better. Bella breathes rough. Then he took a deeper, slower breath and exhaled it. He did it several times and wanted to cry.

Bella chose to pull the car over. He paused for a moment to calm his mind. Bend his head over the steering wheel with both hands into a cushion. He thought about many things. His past, his injuries, his current feelings and of course Devan's feelings.

He thinks that Devan might just pity him. The man wanted to make Bella feel loved. But his steps were too haphazard. Instead of being happy, Bella instead felt depressed because at this time she became thinking about Devan's feelings.

Was the man disappointed with the answer? Why does Devan have to shed tears? Maybe he was angry? And many other thoughts are now flogging in Bella's mind.

For a moment, he wanted to be like this. Quietly, think about this and that and let the contents of his head go silent by itself. Maybe tears will help her feel better.

After Bella died, Devan was alone in his room. He sat on the edge of the bed, looking out the window. The gust of wind that entered through the window gap turned out to be quite refreshing his mind that was in a frenzy.

Bella is now the only person who fills her mind. The woman left after refusing her invitation to marry. Does Bella think she's joking? Or maybe it's an unromantic one?

When Devan was a child he thought love was about red roses and expensive romantic dinners. But what's on his mind now, actually love is as simple as giving half a salty egg on top of his soto when Bella says it doesn't matter if he doesn't get the salty egg for her to eat.

It's about being patient waiting for him to talk after a while of ignoring him because of his bad mood. It's about him giving his shoulder to Bella when the girl cries and telling her he's okay.

It's also about how happy it is just because Bella said, thank you for today. Though they only talk about random things that only they both understand.

This is not about the cheap price of teddy bear, so he can buy it easily. But about equally struggling, directing the lever in the same direction and at the same second lowering it then gripped it to get a teddy bear at a price not how expensive it was.

It's also about how Bella fascinated him just because the girl smiled happily after successfully finding one phrase sentence for the script that he had thought of for several hours. Everything is small but very meaningful.

Love is not just about the beautiful and romantic. Love is just the process of falling into a warm embrace of despair in someone who makes him think that he can get through life with him. Simple was just the thought of Devan when he declared his love and decided to invite Bella to marry.

But it seems to Bella not always that simple. The conditions are complicated at the moment. One of the hardest things for Bella is that she's still in her trauma. Even though he looks fine, he's not okay. He is still trying to make peace with his own feelings. And after being destroyed like that, which woman does not get sick and suffer?

Devan rubbed his face rough. One corner of her heart grimaced as she remembered when Bella rejected him in tears. It felt like he wanted to hug her, calming the girl in his arms. But Bella too makes a limit in front of him. A strict limit for him not to come near.

The sound of a phone ringing from the bedside table blew Devan's mind off. When Devan turned his head, it turned out that Bella's phone was lit. Because in a hurry to leave, he did not realize that his cellphone was left behind.

Devan quickly moved from his place. The steps are slightly stopped when a name is called before the next ringtone.

Doubtful but curious Devan took it, for what reason Rangga still contact Bella.

For a while Devan was just staring at Bella's phone. Seeing this name, he remembered what this man had done to Bella. The strong woman he had known since childhood, now had no confidence in anyone. Maybe even to himself.

For some reason, Devan clenched his hand in annoyance. His teeth until they growled, showing his anger at Rangga.

A moment later, Devan answered the call. He wanted to know what this jerk wanted to say to Bella.

"Bell, um,.." Rangga's voice sounded warm and full of relief.

Can Devan imagine that there Rangga is breathing a sigh of relief while smiling. A triumphant smile as he had seen yesterday.

"You finally answered my phone. I thought, you blocked my number Bell. But it turns out I was too bad to think of you. Me,"

"Gue's not Bella." Suddenly Devan pauses.

He no longer wanted to hear Rangga's sentence longer than this and made his hands clenched even more. Maybe this time he must join Bella's past and protect her from the possibility of this incident will repeat. He decides not to let Bella fall into the same hole.

"Lo who?" Rangga sounded surprised when he heard a voice that did not belong to Bella.

"Oh, you Devan?" It seems like this man is aware of who the owner of this cold bass voice is.

"Hem." One short word Devan made Rangga smile wryly as he rubbed his chin slurred.

"Why is Bella here?" Rangga's voice sounded cynical and unacceptable.

"Because Bella left it in my house." Devan was honest.

"Rabellshit. You're just making it up. What would Bella want to go to your house?" There was a mocking laughter from Rangga. She couldn't believe that Bella left her phone this early at Devan's.

"Because he was here last night." Devan told me the truth.

"You mean? Bella's nginep at your house?" Rangga then moved from his bed. He walked back and forth with a panicked face.

"Hem." Devan with confidence. He smiled a little because he was sure that Rangga was upset.

"Lo don't lie. Bella can't stay in a man's house. I know exactly what Bella is like. No, no way. You're just making it up, right?" Rangga became a crime. Bella's shadow in Devan's house was clearly reflected in her eyes.

"What do you know about Bella? How far do you know about Bella until you're sure I'm lying?" Challenge the brooding Devan in annoyance.

"Haha.... Of course I know more about Bella than you. You don't know anything man. You're just a fly that surrounds Bella. You're supposed to realize you can't get that close to Bella."

"Bella's control of feelings is on me. If I want, I can get Bella back whenever I want. And lo, hahahaha... You mean nothing to Bella." Rangga laughed mockingly at Devan's whereabouts, making the man even more inflamed.

"It's good that you know so well and know exactly what Bella looks like."

"And you should also know that you won't be able to get close to Bella. You know, Bella's not that stupid, is she? And you should also know, if you're nothing else in Bella's life. The story of you two is over."

"Lo's aware of that, right?" Devan asked in a row with great emphasis.

His sarcastic speech made Rangga's face flushed and his hands clenched.

"**!!" grunts Rangga when he hears Devan's words. He had not expected Devan to face him like this.

"So, just stay away from her. Don't make Bella see you're more disgusting than ever. Understand?!" Firmly Devan with his cynical smile.

A second later Devan hung up. He no longer needed to hear anything that Rangga would say. He just wanted Rangga to hear what he should have heard.

"Bw*!" Rangga's snort is over there.

"YARRGGGHHH!!!!"

"PRANK UP!!!"

He threw his phone in no direction to make it fall apart. Somehow in an instant his ego was challenged by Devan. He was very sure, if he came back closer, Bella would gradually melt. He knew exactly how to melt Bella's heart, just that he was waiting for the right time for it. She waited for Bella to show her true feelings, not the denial she had seen.

In his place, Devan now stands staring at his own reflection in front of the glass. He's determined to protect Bella, which he should have done a long time ago. If only she had never left Bella, maybe Bella would not have met Rangga and made the woman destroyed as she is now.

But this is not the time to regret. Devan took the jacket that was on the bed. He also took the car keys. Then he rushed away while grasping Bella's phone tightly. He knows exactly where he should have gone.
