The Part 25

Chloe was wide-eyed when she heard the words from Matthew. Because according to Chloe, the requirements put forward by Matthew, it feels very laughable for him.

"Did you hear what you said?" chloe asked, laughing.

This time, Matthew was the one who looked jolted.

Like there was something wrong from Chloe's speech, until Matthew looked furrowed, completing his facial expression as if he did not understand.

"You prefer David?" matthew asked, as if he himself did not believe what he was saying.

"The sir! ... I didn't choose anyone. You want me to stay away from Mister David? ... Maybe I can say 'yes I agree'....

... But, are you sure that I'm not going to relate to him behind your back?" chloe said, smiling.

"Don't complicate your own situation. Basically you don't believe in me. So why force yourself? It was a waste and a waste of energy....

... And one more! I even promised her I would spend time with her. There's no way you want me to cancel my appointment, is there?" continued Chloe.

"Why do you promise such a thing? Are you dating her?" ask Matthew.

"Hm ... Less is more like that. Not dating a couple. Instead of aiming to get to know each other personally, better," replied Chloe.

Matthew looks upset. "Don't you say you've known each other for a long time?"

Chloe who felt that her legs were getting sore from standing too long, then sat on one of the empty sofas.

"Correct! ... But we never interacted intensely. The busyness of their respective work, only makes us only able to just say hello....

... We hardly ever talk, more than work-related stuff. That's why, until Mister David took the initiative to ask me out on a date, and I agreed to it" Chloe replied.

"I can't believe it!" matthew said, leaning his back violently on his chair.

Chloe grunted rudely.

Chloe then remembered something, and thought about saying it all, as she now had the opportunity to talk to Matthew.

After a conversation between Chloe and Matthew that was quite intense, Matthew actually seemed to be getting more and more frantic.

However, Matthew did not speak rudely or yell at Chloe.

Matthew simply orders, for Chloe to leave him alone in his study, and Chloe is quite waiting for him outside.

Before lunch time, Matteo, who had come out of nowhere, approached Chloe, who was sitting near Matthew's study.

Matteo, who is seen carrying a bouquet of flowers in his hand, appears to smile broadly, while giving the luggage to Chloe.

"For you!" Matteo.

"I was walking in town. Someone offered me this flower, and I thought of you. So, I bought it," Matteo continued.

Chloe let out a small laugh, then sniffed the fragrant scent of a collection of red roses tied to a ribbon.

"Thank you!" chloe said, smiling.

"You like her?" ask Matteo.

"Of course! ... The flowers are beautiful and still fresh" Chloe replied, without removing the bouquet from the handle.

"Oh, yes! There's more!" Matteo was seen fumbling through the jacket he was wearing, then pulling something out of his pocket.

A box that appears to contain a bottle of perfume, and some chocolate candy wrappers, is proffered by Matteo to Chloe.

"Are you buying all this, too, because someone offered it?" chloe asked, holding back from laughing.

"Yes ... Inside the shopping center, many interesting items are offered there, with promo prices," replied Matteo, then smiled widely.

Matteo's behavior, as if he did not realize that he had been influenced by the salesman, actually felt funny to Chloe, until finally laughing made.

"Geez! ... There's-there's just you doing this." said Chloe, trying to stop laughing.

Matteo then took the empty seat that was near where Chloe was sitting, and said,

"Is Matthew at work?"

Matteo moved his head, like he was pointing at the workspace behind him.

"Yes" Chloe replied.

"His mood is bad again."

Chloe let out a long breath. "Yes, it looks like that. Mister Matthew didn't want me to be inside with him."

"Enterrifying ... While if not wrong, it should be today you do not work because of the weekend, right?" Matteo.

Chloe nodded her head. "Yes." Yeah."

"Then, don't you have any plans for tonight?" ask Matteo again.

"Hm ... Actually, Mister David asked me out today. But I can't say it yet, because I haven't gotten Mister Matthew's permission" Chloe replied.

Matteo looked at Chloe fixedly. "Do you want to go? ... I mean, do you want to date David?"

"Hm ... Of course I want to. But.." said Chloe hesitated.

"You just go! ... I'll take care of Matthew" Matteo said.

Chloe did not respond immediately, but rather looked at Matteo with doubt.

"It's okay." Matteo seems to want to convince Chloe.

"If you have to ask Matthew for permission first, then I don't think you'll get it. Because, whereas I just don't agree if you go on a date with David," Matteo said.

"Ugh?" Chloe's confused.

"I'm sorry ... It's not that I want to get in the way of your personal affairs, because it's your right to date anyone....

... But to be honest, I was worried that you'd like David more and more. Then he agreed to all of his offers, thinking they were better than me" Matteo said, smiling.

The chocolate candy that Chloe placed on the small table, which was between her seat and Matteo, was then taken one of them by Matteo, and immediately opened the package.

"Say, 'Aaah'...!" Matteo.

Spontaneously, Chloe followed Matteo's directions, which after opening her mouth, Matteo immediately put chocolate into Chloe's mouth.

Chloe shook her head, while Matteo seemed to laugh with satisfaction, opening another packet of chocolate candy, which she then ate.

"What do you think? Does it taste good?" matteo asked, smiling widely.

"Hm ... Aye ... It doesn't feel bad" Chloe replied.

"Matthew likes dark chocolate like this. As for me, I prefer white chocolate instead" Matteo said.

"In that way, the two of us never fought, just because we were fighting over candy." Matteo then stood up from his seat, then continued saying,

"I'll go to my room first. I want to change my clothes. It won't be long, I'll be back. You'll be waiting for me here, won't you?"

Chloe nodded. "Yes." Yeah."

"Okay!" Matteo then headed to the stairs, and continued walking towards his room upstairs.

After Matteo disappeared from her sight, Chloe then looked at the chocolate candy that still had a few more packs on the table.

Given Matteo's words, that Matthew liked the chocolate, Chloe thought about giving it to Matthew, if possible it could make the boss a little more cheerful.

Chloe picks up all the leftover chocolate candy, then knocks on Matthew's office door, before she finally walks in there.

Matthew was still pouting, as Chloe looked at him and glanced at him for a while.

However, Chloe approached Matthew, then opened a pack of candy. "Sir!"

Matthew turned his head while slightly raising his gaze, because it was Chloe who was standing next to him.

"Say, 'Aaah'...!" chloe said, smiling.

Slowly, Chloe then intends to feed the candy into Matthew's mouth.

However, Matthew immediately caught Chloe's hand and held it tightly, while looking at Chloe fixedly.

"Chocolate candy," Chloe explained, without waiting for Matthew to ask.

Still holding Chloe's hand, Matthew's pair of eyes looked at the candy on Chloe's fingertips, then pulled Chloe's hand, until it could feed the candy into her mouth.

Chloe smiled broadly, and almost laughed looking at her. "You like it?"

With his mouth closed, Matthew answered Chloe's question, until his voice sounded like he was mumbling.

"I'm sorry ... I'm not intending to 'paste a nose' in your affairs. But in my opinion, you do not have to force yourself to continue working....

... You need to rest even if only for a moment. Because later you will be too exhausted, and instead can not concentrate on your work," said Chloe.

I don't know what Matthew is thinking, so he seems to forget to blink when he looks at Chloe, while still holding Chloe's hand tightly.
