The Part 80

"You're more cunning than a snake!" As if he had forgotten how to blink, Matthew did not distract him in the least, and looked like he wanted to hit Harold there.

"Well?! ... Aren't you on the wrong target?" harold said defiantly, with a cynical smile.

Then, with his hand shaped like a gun, Harold pointed and as if he was shooting Matthew there. "It should have been directed at yourself!"

Apparently, Matthew was getting furious because of Harold's attitude, until his hands were hanging on his side, looking clenched tightly.

"Is there anything I'm missing?" matteo asked puzzledly, looking at Harold and Matthew in turn.

Meanwhile, Chloe gave a rude snort, then said,

"I'm tired! ... Is there nothing more useful, that you can all do but fight? Misconceptions cannot be fixed by quarrels."

"Did you accept Harold's proposal?" ask Matthew to Chloe.

"No, Sir! ... I will still consider it," Chloe replied, sighing her heavy breath.

"considered?" ask Matthew and Matteo, simultaneously.

"What will be considered?" I don't know where it came from, David suddenly joined the conversation there.

"It sucks!" matthew said, with his eyeballs moving wildly, then his gaze stopped on Chloe. "Come with me!"

"But, sir.." said Chloe, hesitating.

"Now!" Quickly, Matthew held Chloe's hand, and seemed to want to drag Chloe out of it with him.

"You must be kidding me!" harold said, then stood in front of Matthew.

Acting like a posse, Harold and Matteo, then block Matthew and Chloe's steps.

"What are you guys doing?" matthew asked, with his voice sounding cynical. "Did you forget? Chloe is my personal assistant. I can call him, whenever I need him."

"I know!" harold, no less cynical. "But on holidays like today, none of us are leaders or subordinates."

David, who had been standing there looking at the movements of others, approached them and said, saying,

"Harld! ... Matteo! ... Do you two want what's best for Chloe?"

"Of course!" harold replied, sure.

"Do you need to ask?" matteo sahut, looks bad.

"Then let Matthew go with Chloe. Because I think there's something important he has to do, that has something to do with Chloe."

After David said that to Matteo and Harold, he then looked at Chloe for a moment, with a smile that seemed forced, before he looked at Matthew, and then said,

"Treat Chloe well! As long as he's okay, I guarantee that nothing will stand in your way or bother you."

David then looked at Harold and Matteo, then nodded his head.

David's movement, as if to be a sign for Harold and Matteo, to shift to the side opened the way for Matthew and Chloe, in order to get away from there.

"Thank you, David!" matthew said, but David soon refuted it, saying,

"Don't rush to thank me! ... I will still observe you, like an eagle observing a rabbit on the field. Just a little bit you're moving wrong, then I'll finish you off."

"Okay!" Matthew smiled broadly, then patted one side of David's shoulder, then walked away, taking Chloe with him.

Chloe also without much comment, just follow the steps of Matthew who invited him into his car.

After a while Matthew drove, Chloe asked him what made him curious about Matthew.

"The sir! ... Where do you want to take me? So, what's important you want to do?" chloe asked, be careful.

Matthew smiled, glancing at Chloe for a moment, then looked straight ahead, then said,

"We're going to my parents' house. But first, I want you to call Judy. Tell him I'm waiting for him at my parents' house."

Matthew's answer was unsatisfactory to her, but Chloe followed Matthew's lead and immediately contacted Judy.

And Judy, too, did not refuse to catch up to Matthew's parents' house, when Chloe talked to him on her phone.

Judy said that she was not far from the McLean family residence, so she could get there quickly, without Matthew waiting for her to linger.

Upon arrival at Matthew's parents' house, Chloe is greeted by Maddison who greets her with a big smile.

"Hi, Chloe! ... Matthews!"

"Hi, Mom! ..." Matthew said hello back, then seemed to want to continue saying something. But she holds him back, and still gives Chloe a chance to talk.

"Hi, Madame!" Chloe greeted Maddison back, and smiled, even if only forced.

"... I'm going to daddy's office" Matthew continued, making eye movements, as if he was beckoning Maddison.

And Maddison, too, seemed to understand Matthew's intentions, so the woman then immediately nodded her head.

Matthew then invites Chloe to go to Nathan's office, which is at Matthew's parents' house.

As Chloe walked through Nathan's office door, Matthew behind her called out to her.

"Cloe!"

Hearing Matthew's call, Chloe turned around and found Matthew closing the door, standing very close to her.

"Chloe...! Answer my question honestly!" said Matthew, who slightly lowered his head, to look at Chloe. "Do you still love me?"

Chloe turned her face away. "No, Sir!"

"Tsk!" Matthew clucked, then held Chloe's head with both hands, until Chloe looked up, and could not turn her face again.

"What if I marry Judy?" matthew asked, staring fixedly at Chloe.

"As far as you are, sir!" sahut Chloe, pervert. "For you to ask me that?"

"I have to ask him. Because I'm carrying a ring now." Matthew made a gesture with his eyes, as if he was pointing at his trouser pocket.

Chloe grunted rudely.

"Do you hate me?" matthew asked, while still holding Chloe's face.

"You want my honest answer?" Chloe asked back, and Matthew immediately nodded his head.

"I hate You. Everything you've done lately has only made me hate you more. To be honest, I'm tired of all your games....

... If you want to marry Miss Parker, it's up to you, and go ahead! But I'm asking for your help for the last one, just this one time, so you don't make me feel even more humiliated."

Chloe spoke, holding back as much as she could, so as not to shed tears that felt beginning to fill her eyelids.

While looking at every part of Chloe's face, the corner of Chloe's eye, was rubbed slowly by Matthew with his thumb.

Coinciding at that moment, there was a knock on the door that was not long followed by a door leaf that moved wide open.

"I'm sorry, Mister McLean! ... Missus!" said one of Matthew's parents' housekeeping assistants. "Miss Parker wants to meet you, sir!"

"Send him in!" matthew sahut, without lingering any longer.

Judy is then seen stepping into Nathan's office, where Chloe and Matthew are, and with a big smile, Judy immediately greets him.

"Hi, Miss Parker!" Chloe greeted back, while Matthew seemed to just nod his head.

Judy approached Matthew, whispering in his ear, but Matthew immediately said,

"Not necessary! ... That way didn't work. It just messes it up."

"Ugh? ... Really true?" Judy looked confused, then looked at Chloe. "Really didn't work? You're different from the usual woman."

Judy then looked misbehaved, and continued to say, Judy,

"I'm sorry for speaking informally, Miss Fern."

"It's okay" said Chloe, then something occurred, and continued to say,

"You can talk alone. I'll wait outside."

"Wait!" Before Chloe steps in, Judy stops her, and blocks Chloe's movements by standing in front of her.

"I'm sorry ... But I feel so weird. Normally, if there was another woman trying to snatch her lover, then that woman would definitely go berserk. Then why did you just let it go?"

Judy's words directed at Chloe, only make Chloe feel upset. But Chloe tries hard to calm herself down, so as not to yell at Judy.

Judy was probably aware of Chloe's uneasiness, so she hurriedly said,

"I have nothing to do with Matthew. I just pretended to be close to her to make you jealous. Because I can't believe Matthew said, that you don't care even if he's with another woman....

...And it turns out to be true. Katherine! ... Can I call you that? ... Matthew loves you. Do you love Matthew or not? Why don't you try to defend it?...

... Is there someone else you love?"

Judy looked at Matthew. "I think you're going the extra mile! ... She's not like most women."

As if still not satisfied, Judy looked back at Chloe, then said, Judy,

"Chelle! ... Just so you know. I don't want Matthew the way you think. I am interested in his brother. Matteo. Maybe this will sound bad...

...I made a pact with Matthew that I would help him. Whether it's to get your heart, or to test the loyalty of people in a corporate environment....

... And give me one chance to prove that I really love you, and that you're the only woman I want."

Suddenly, Matthew took something out of his pants pocket, then knelt down with one leg, then raised his head, and said,

"I can't promise that I'll be by your side forever. But I'll promise you, that before death do us part, you'll be the only reason I'll live."

With a jewelry box containing an open ring in his hand, Matthew still raised his head, then continued to say,

"Chelle! ... Will you marry me?"

Matthew is also seen stretching out his hand, as if he was asking for Chloe's hand.

Although it was like that, but there was still a little doubt because of disbelief, with what he heard. Chloe answered him hesitantly.

"The sir! ... I'm...."

"Chelle! ... Please do not give the answer hanging! ... I'm going to repeat my question" said Matthew, who appeared to be patient with the doubts shown by Chloe.

Stifling his head to stay up, and looking at Chloe fixedly, Matthew then said,

"Chloe...! Will you marry me?"

With a single long sigh, Chloe ventured to extend out her hand, saying,

"Yes ... I would like to, Sir!"

With his eyes sparkling, Matthew smiled widely, and immediately put a diamond ring on Chloe's ring finger.

Matthew then stood up. "I love you, Chloe!"

Chloe who smiled, as if to be a sign for Matthew, to hug and kiss with him, for some time.

"What are you guys doing?"

The question with a high tone of voice, followed by the sound of the door leaf that seemed to be hit hard, surprised Chloe and Matthew to see the direction of the sound.

Matteo looked beavering, and a hint of blood also dripped from his knuckles, which seemed to be used to hit the door.

Together with Matteo, Maddison stroked his chest, Nathan looked confused, and Jackson, walking slowly with his cane, entered the room past Matteo.

"I'm getting married to Chloe!" matthew said, sounding without burden.

"Okay!" Jackson looked relaxed, then took a seat on one of the sofa parts in the room. "But, shouldn't we all talk about it first?!"
