To be honest, Chloe wasn't too keen on going to dinner with David.

But after considering Matthew's words that sound like they are being reasoned, making Chloe think twice about rejecting David's invitation.

Apparently, Matthew was looking for an opportunity to date Judy, without any interference from Chloe or anyone else.

Chloe draws the conclusion, that Matthew may not be comfortable if he wants to be alone with Judy, while Chloe is around them, and it is as if the gestures of Matthew and Judy will be watched by Chloe.

Plus, if you remember Matthew's date at that time that was messed up by Chloe and Matteo, of course it would be natural, if Matthew did not want such a thing to happen again.

Thus, even though there is a little jealousy that arises, Chloe also does not want to be a stumbling block for Matthew and Judy.

Moreover, Chloe knew that she had no right to hinder the wishes of Matthew, who was about to date the woman he liked.

After all, Chloe was also well aware, that there was nothing special about the relationship between her and Matthew.

Before David came to pick up Chloe at Matthew's house, Judy had already arrived there to fulfill her appointment with Matthew.

Without procrastinating, Chloe arranges Judy's meeting with Matthew to make it work.

Chloe escorts Judy to the living room, and has even given her directions to Matthew's housekeeper to serve Judy and Matthew later, before she later catches up with Matthew in her room.

"Miss Parker's been waiting for you outside!"

Matthew, who looks ready for a date, then stands up from his bed, and walks outside with Chloe's help.

"You haven't left yet?" ask Matthew.

"Mister David is still on his way here" Chloe replied, according to the words David who contacted him on the phone earlier.

"What time do you plan to come home?" ask Matthew again.

"What do you ask, Sir? ... Do you have any other plans?" Chloe asked back.

"Hm ... I just want to know if you will keep your promise, if you will accompany me tonight" said Matthew, sounding hesitant.

"You don't have to think about it. I will keep my promise. Unless, you're planning on having Miss Parker accompany you alone" Chloe replied, perfunctorily.

Matthew then stopped his slow steps, and pushed Chloe up against the wall and held Chloe there, while giving a sharp piercing look right in Chloe's pair of eyes.

"Sir?" chloe was confused.

"What do you mean? ... Are you planning on staying at David's?" matthew asked, with his brows furrowing deeply.

"It's not like that! ... I'd rather make sure, if you might want Miss Parker to accompany you. Then I certainly don't need to sleep in your room, do I?"

Matthew looked wide-eyed, when he heard the words from Chloe just now.

And suddenly, Matthew lowered his head until he leaned on Chloe's shoulder, then said in a whispering voice.

"Am I invisible?"

"What do you say, sir?" chloe asked, who did not hear clearly what Matthew said.

Matthew then raised his head again, looked at Chloe fixedly, then said,

"How can you think that I want Judy to accompany me?"

Chloe then remembered that Matthew might still not want to show her the situation, when he had a nightmare for Judy.

"I'm sorry, Sir ... I spoke without thinking" Chloe said, regretting her words.

Matthew snorted violently. "I'll be waiting for you!"

"Good, Sir! ... I'll try to get back here soon, after dinner with Mister David," Chloe said, then prepare to walk.

"Chelle! ... I'll be waiting for you!" matthew said again, holding back his steps not to walk with Chloe.

"Yes, Sir! ... I've heard it." With a little force, Chloe invites Matthew to walk with her. "Miss Parker's been waiting for you."

Upon arrival in the living room, after Matthew had sat down on the sofa, Chloe immediately passed away from there, leaving Matthew alone with Judy.

And almost at the same time, David had also come to pick up Chloe, so Chloe then returned to the living room to say goodbye to Matthew and Judy, before she left with David.

David's sudden question, surprised Chloe who was engrossed in looking at the hands of David who seemed deft to prepare the ingredients for his cooking.

"Hm ... You are my guest ... There's no need to do anything, I can prepare it myself" David said, then fed Chloe a piece of tomato.

"Who taught you how to cook? ... Your Mommy?" ask Chloe, have a nice chat.

"No" David answered, then smiled. "Do you believe that my daddy, headstrong Mister Jordan McLean is actually smarter than my mommy?"

"really?" chloe said, astonished.

David chuckled, nodding slowly. "That's it, don't just look outside!"

"Although my daddy was stubborn for business, but the truth is, he was a loving husband and daddy" continued David.

Although it feels unbelievable, if you just look at the style of Jordan every time Chloe meets with the daddy of David, but Chloe also does not consider that David needs to lie to him just for such a thing.

David then began to cook all the food that had been prepared by him, then serve it to the island table that became a place for him and Chloe, to enjoy his dinner.

David then seemed to smile with satisfaction, as he looked at Chloe who was eating her food with great pleasure.

While they are enjoying dinner, Chloe's phone suddenly goes off, but Chloe lets it go, until the phone stops making a sound.

However, as if something was important, Chloe's phone rang again, until Chloe felt uncomfortable as David looked at Chloe's bag, where Chloe's phone was.

"I'm sorry, sir.." said Chloe, slowly.

"Look first, who called you! ... How to know if it's something important" David said, giving Chloe a chance.

Although reluctant, Chloe checks her phone, and finds that Matteo has contacted her multiple times.

Chloe did not receive the call, and only sent a message, that she would contact Matteo later.

"Who?" asked David, who then seemed to regret his words. "I'm sorry ... I don't intend to know your business too much."

"It's okay, Sir ... Mister Matteo contacted me," Chloe honestly replied, while keeping her phone back in her bag, after changing the settings from her phone to silent mode.

"I told him I would call him back" Chloe continued, then continued her dinner with David.

"Why don't you just take the call?" david asked, looking curious.

Chloe was silent for a moment. "I don't think anything is too important. Mister Matteo might just want a conversation partner like always."

"Hm ... Chloe!" david said, as if to draw attention from Chloe, until Chloe looked at him. "What do you think of Matteo?"

"What do you mean, sir?" Chloe asked back.

"Hmmm...." David seemed to hesitate. "Are you not interested in connecting more than friends with her?"

Chloe then smiled broadly. "No, Sir."

"Mister Matteo already has someone he likes. I knew that he only needed me as a friend, because he was still a stranger in this country."

As if Chloe had mispronounced, David seemed to furrow his brows deeply, while looking fixedly at Chloe.

"Is something wrong, sir?" chloe asked, confused.

"Is that what you think of Matteo?"

David seemed to want to confirm Chloe's statement, until Chloe answered him by saying,

"Yes, Sir! ... But why are you asking me that?"

"Hm ... What if he tells you that he likes you more than friends?" david asked, holding his expression still as before.

Chloe chuckled. "That's impossible...."

Chloe almost said what she thought of Matteo to David, as she had told Matthew.

However, Chloe is uncomfortable, because the discussion only reminds Chloe to Matthew.

Just imagining, that Matthew might be having sex with Judy, is enough to make Chloe feel uneasy.

In order for the conversation about Matteo to come to a standstill, Chloe can get a little time to calm herself down, and not think about Matthew, so Chloe then asks permission to go to the bathroom.

Chloe then rushes off, heading to the room that David showed her.

When Chloe finished washing her face in the bathroom and was about to come out of the room, suddenly a voice came from outside the room, as if someone else was talking to David.

"... make sure that the person can't get close to Matthew anymore. You will be the CEO!"

"I don't know who daddy's talking about!" David's voice is heard replying to the words of others with him, who appear to be Jordan, the daddy of David.

Chloe had no intention of eavesdropping on the conversation outside.

However, the voices were still clearly heard by Chloe who was holding back her steps, and standing behind the bedroom door.

"Where did daddy get that information?" ask David.

"You don't believe my words? ... You don't need to know where I heard it. For sure it's the right information....

...Did you not notice that lately, Matthew the arrogant boy looks messed up? That's exactly what I said, right?!...

... Do as I'm directed! You're more entitled and deserving to be CEO, than Nathan!"

The voice from Jordan still sounded confident, and as if it was imposing its will on David.

Chloe, who should not have listened to all the conversations between David and Jordan, hesitated to get out of the room.

After waiting for a while, and it sounded like the conversation outside had stopped, Chloe then opened the room door and walked outside.

In the dining room, where Chloe and David had been enjoying dinner, Jordan and David were standing there.

Jordan looked at Chloe fixedly, as Chloe walked over to them.

And judging from his actions, Jordan seems to suspect that Chloe has overheard his conversation with David earlier.
