The Part 26

Chloe was really shocked when she heard a knock on the door, which was followed by the opening of Matthew's office door.

Matteo, who did not seem to hesitate through the door, walked in and immediately approached the desk, where Matthew and Chloe were.

Matthew who seemed unwilling to let Chloe's hand off his grip, so the limelight of Matteo's pair of eyes were looking at him with astonished gazes.

Chloe, who noticed it, then moved her hand, so that Matthew would let go of it.

But Matthew was unmoved, staring at Matteo, as if he was waiting for what Matteo wanted to say, until Matteo came inside.

"Is it because Chloe's going to date David tonight, to make you mess with him?" ask Matteo.

Matteo seemed to have misunderstood her, so she told Matthew about the date.

In the end, Matteo's words only seem to make Matthew feel furious, and squeeze Chloe's wrist.

"Sir...!" chloe said, who felt that the power from Matthew channeled from his grip, made Chloe's hand feel quite sick.

Looking from his gaze that was as if it was about to swallow Chloe round and round, Matthew seemed to be completely inflamed at this moment.

"You're going on a date with David?"

The question that came out of Matthew's mouth sounded almost imperfect, because his jaw was tight and hardened, making his mouth unable to move properly.

"Ugh?" Matteo looked jolted. "You haven't told Matthew?"

Chloe felt like crying, because she held the pain in her hands, so she said nothing to answer Matteo's question, and just shook her head.

Matteo patted his own eel, and at that instant, he seemed to be aware of something, until Matteo looked wide-eyed as he said,

"Matthew! ... Chloe's in pain! What are you doing?"

At the same time, Matteo appears to reflexively hold Chloe's hand, and separates it from Matthew's.

Matthew then threw away his face, and looked straight ahead again, putting on a face that still looked sour.

"What's your problem?" matteo asked Matthew, embracing Chloe.

"Are you okay?" Matteo seemed to be in a hurry to look at Chloe's wrist, which looked flushed red and slightly chafed.

Apparently, when Matthew squeezed his hand, made a metal watch worn by Chloe, swiping his skin until it peeled off.

"You're a real fucker!" matteo said to Matthew, then immediately took Chloe to sit on the sofa.

"Take off your watch! ... Let me treat the wound!" matteo said, then picked up the medicine box that was still on the table in front of him.

Although it was very painful when Matteo applied a medicinal ointment on her chipped skin, Chloe did not dare to complain, and only endured the pain, by biting her own lips.

"I know that it must have hurt. But, don't bite your lips! ... You will only make new wounds" said Matteo, with a voice and a visibly anxious look.

Matteo then looked at Matthew, then with his voice rising, Matteo then said, saying,

"Try you see this! You got him hurt! Where's your common sense?"

Matthew did not respond to Matteo's anger, and only remained silent in his chair.

"I can't believe this!" matteo continued, as if he could not stop grumbling.

Almost at the same time, Chloe's phone then rang, until Chloe hurriedly pulled the object out of her trouser pocket.

Contact from David is seen on Chloe's phone screen, but Chloe hesitates to take the call, and instead looks toward Matteo, who appears to be paying attention to Chloe's phone display.

"Thank you! ... No one can ban you" Matteo said, as if he could figure out what Chloe was thinking.

"thank you. Excuse me, Sir! I'll take her call outside" Chloe said.

Chloe immediately stood up, leading out of Matthew's study, without waiting for a response from Matteo or Matthew.

"Hello, Sir!" Chloe greeted David, opened the door, and walked past.

"Hello, Chloe!" David greeted me from across the phone. "Hows it? Can you date me?"

Chloe was silent for a moment, remembering Matteo's words, that Chloe could go outside today, because Matteo would look after Matthew.

"Yes, Sir!" answer Chloe.

"Good! ... Can we meet now? I want to start our date early, by taking you to lunch with me" David said.

"Hm ... Okay, Sir!" answer Chloe. "Where do you want to meet?"

"Where are you? At Matthew's? I can pick you up there" said David.

Chloe actually hesitates, but in the end Chloe later agrees, before she disconnects from David.

"The sir! ... Can I talk to you for a minute?" Chloe.

Matteo, who seemed to understand Chloe's intentions, seemed to have no objection when he moved out of Matthew's workroom with Chloe.

"What did David say?" Matteo asked first.

"Hm ... Mister David is taking me out now. She wanted to have lunch with me." Chloe replied, observing Matteo's reaction.

"Don't I promise to take your place to keep Matthew, as long as you go on a date? You just go. It's okay."

Matteo does not seem to mind Chloe's plan, so Matteo can still look calm.

"But there's one message! ... Don't let you like it too much, so that I don't get heartbroken over it" Matteo continued, smiling.

Chloe also smiled, because she heard the words of Matteo who still took the time to joke with Chloe. "Thank you very much, sir!"

"No problem ... You need time to rest" Matteo said, then walked with Chloe.

Matteo escorts Chloe to the gate of the fence, even still accompanying Chloe who is waiting for David's arrival there.

"Hi!" greet David, when he got out of his car, and approached Chloe and Matteo who were standing by the fence.

"Hi!" Matteo and Chloe reply to David at the same time.

David looks confused, then marks Chloe with his eye movements, which point towards Matteo.

Chloe who understood what David meant, then immediately said,

"It's Mister Matteo!"

"Oh!" David then reached out his hand to shake hands with Matteo. "You still remember me, don't you?"

"Of course!" matteo shakes hands with David.

"Now! ... Ii'm sorry. But I can't linger. I want to take Chloe away with me immediately" David told Matteo, then blinked one eye at Chloe.

"Ow! ... Okay!" matteo Sahut.

"Bye, Sir!" chloe said goodbye, before she entered David's car.

"Bye, Chloe! ... Have fun, and be careful on the road!" Matteo.

"Just calm...! I like her too much. I'm not gonna get him hurt. And for sure, I'll make her happy, so she doesn't regret dating me."

The way David talks to Matteo, who seems to be an old friend, catches Chloe's eye, until he barely realizes that David has gotten into the car with him.

"What are you thinking?" david asked, while running his car, passing away from Matthew.

"There's nothing. I was just curious ... How do you know Mister Matthew's home address?" sahut Chloe's.

"Miy aunty ... He told me, so that I could occasionally visit Matthew or Matteo. Because he said, the two of their houses are just next door" replied David.

Chloe mustache understands.

"Virtually indistinguishable" David chirped.

"Ugh?" Chloe turned her head towards David, who seemed to be concentrating while driving.

"Matthew and Matteo are very similar. But chances are, I could be friends with Matteo. Because he doesn't seem as arrogant as his brother" David said.

"Hm ... Chloe's! It looks like he's pretty close to you" continued David, in a hurry.

"As you say. Mister Matteo is a friendly man. So, I was quite comfortable talking to her" Chloe said.

"Hey! ... Don't tell me you're interested in him! You're going to break my heart" said David, turning to Chloe, and looking at her for a while.

Hearing David's similar words to Matteo's message earlier, made Chloe laugh amusedly. Because according to Chloe, both David and Matteo are happy to joke.

"Why are you laughing? L like you. If you're interested in him, then what about me?" david, it sounds serious.

Chloe who thought David was just joking, then smiled broadly, shaking her head. "There are you here...."

David chuckles, then holds Chloe's hand, but Chloe soon grimaces in pain. "Auch!"

Chloe's hand, held by David, is the hand that was injured because of the rough treatment of Matthew earlier.

"What happened to you?" David then slowed down his car, stopping by pulling over on the side of the road.

David took Chloe's hands, then watched her one by one, with a serious look on her face, until her forehead seemed to form deep folds, because she was the one who linked her eyebrows together.

"Why can your hand hurt like this?" david asked, staring at Chloe.
