The Part 67

Although Matthew has expressed his love for Chloe, but according to Chloe, it seems that not much change will occur for the daily life of the two of them.

As usual, from early in the morning, Chloe was already getting ready to head to the office, and so was Matthew.

This morning, Chloe's boss has been looking much better and fresher, compared to the past few days.

In fact, Matthew did not take the drugs prescribed by his psychiatrist, which Maddison delivered to him last night.

"I told you that you are the cause of my messing up thoughts. But since right now, you're the one who has made me happy, then I won't need those medicines anymore."

So said Matthew who looks sure, before he and Chloe rested for sleep last night.

At first, Chloe had doubted Matthew's words. But in the end, Matthew's words were indeed proven to be true.

Last night, Matthew slept well until morning, without being bothered by nightmares, like the last few nights.

As if, Chloe was the one who had become poison to Matthew, and when Matthew already found out that Chloe loved him, then Chloe was also the antidote for the man.

Not long after, Chloe's phone inside her blazer pocket then vibrated, signaling there was an incoming message there.

While Chloe pulled out the phone, and saw what notification was inside the object, Matthew then said,

"Return David's money! ... I don't want that to be a reason for you to spend time with him anymore."

Chloe flinched, looking at the banking transaction that showed the flow of funds that had just entered her account, saying, saying,

"But, Sir...."

"Cloe!" matthew said in a raised voice, while giving his sharp gaze to Chloe, as if he did not want Chloe to refute him.

"Contact him now! ... Tell her you got your last paycheck early" Matthew said, as if teaching Chloe what to say to David.

Chloe gave a rude snort, then contacted David's contact, grumbling, "I paid off the debt to Mister David. But now, I owe it to you."

"Cloe!" said Matthew, who seemed to be still listening to Chloe's chatter just now, then called Chloe to get closer to him. "Here!"

"I'm trying to contact Mister David!" chloe said, showing Matthew the screen of his phone.

"That's exactly it! ... I have to hear what you're talking about" Matthew said, putting on a stupid look.

David's contact is connected, but Matthew seems unwilling to stop moving his two fingers, signaling Chloe to get closer to him.

Chloe greets David as she walks up to Matthew in his office chair. "Hello, Sir!"

"Hello, Chloe! ... What's the wind until you call me in these hours?" David sounded like he was joking with Chloe.

Meanwhile, Matthew pulls Chloe, sitting on his lap, and listens to Chloe's conversation on his cell phone.

Although very surprised by Matthew's sudden movements, but Chloe can only shake her head, while continuing her conversation with David.

"The sir! ... I have received my last salary. So, the plan is I'll transfer back, the money I borrowed from you."

David did not immediately respond to Chloe's words, and instead just remained silent for a while, until Chloe rebuked him by saying,

"The sir! ... Are you still listening to me?"

"Yes, Chloe!" david, from across the phone.

"Why does it sound like you're saying goodbye to me?" david said, sounding like he was disappointed, and continued to say,

"I don't want you to give me my money back ... If you want to get back at her properly, then date me!"

"I'll consider it. But right now, I have to continue working. Once again thank you for your help." Chloe wants to end her conversation with David.

"Wait, Chloe! ... I want to meet you. When do you have time?" David still didn't want to disconnect the phone.

"As I said earlier, Sir ... I'm busy, and can't be sure if I have time to meet you. So, I can't promise," Chloe said, trying to make David understand.

"Chelle! ... Don't try to transfer money to me! I don't want to take it!" david said, firmly.

Seeing Matthew seeming more and more furious, Chloe hurriedly ended the conversation with David, saying,

"I'm sorry, Sir ... I have something to do now. Bye, Sir!"

Without waiting for a response from David again, Chloe disconnected the phone, then gave a rude snort, and looked at Matthew.

"What's with you this?" chloe asked, shaking her head, in disbelief at Matthew's behavior

"I've told you before. I don't want you to see another man" Matthew said, putting on a stupid look. "Transfer the money now!"

"Good, Sir!" Chloe then notices the screen display of her phone, to send money to David's account, while trying to stand away from Matthew's lap.

Chloe gave a rough snort. "I'll transfer Mister David's money. And I also have to continue my work."

"Do it here!" matthew, ketus.

"Well, Sir...!" chloe said, in a mocking voice.

In order to satisfy Matthew's will, Chloe immediately sent money to David, and presented proof of his delivery to Matthew. "It already! ... I'll continue working!"

"Wait a minute!" matthew said, tightening his embrace, then bringing his face closer to Chloe. "You've pissed me off ... Give me a kiss!"

It's not that Chloe doesn't want to make out with Matthew, it's just that it's still working hours, and there's work Chloe has to finish, so she doesn't have to work overtime.

However, because Matthew was as if he would not let go of Chloe, before Chloe gave her wish, Chloe then kissed Matthew on the cheek, and prepared to stand up.

"You must be kidding me!" matthew said, ketus.

A phone call coming from the company's staffing administration; the personnel section reminded Chloe, at Matthew's request for a job opening for the CEO's new assistant.

"I have to see the CEO!" chloe said as she walked into Matthew's office.

After knocking on the door, and hearing Matthew's voice that allowed her to enter, Chloe stepped in and walked up to Matthew, then immediately said her purpose came to it.

"The sir! ... The personnel department has finished screening the CV from applicants who will be your assistant."

Matthew, who had been massaging his forehead, stared at the laptop screen on his desk, then raised his gaze to look at Chloe.

"I'm missing something" said Matthew, who was heard hanging. "Is my schedule still something else?"

"There's still one more meeting, sir!" answer Chloe. "Part of your meeting, have me put on the schedule tomorrow."

"Okay!" matthew, then looked at the watch on his wrist. "What time is the next schedule?"

"Hour 3, Sir!" chloe replied, thinking of something. "I'm sorry, Sir ... But, what about screening new applicants? Do you want me to take home all his CVs?"

"Hmmm...." Matthew muttered, looking at his laptop screen. "Have you arranged my meeting with Judy tonight?"

Chloe jerks.

Because of her overwork, Chloe had forgotten Matthew's direction yesterday, that she wanted to meet Judy tonight.

"I'm sorry, Sir ... I'll call Miss Parker immediately, " Chloe said, cautiously.

Matthew looked at Chloe fixedly. "Bring his CV home. I'll check it out after my meeting with Judy."

"Good, Sir!" Chloe then prepares to leave Matthew's study. "Excuse me, Sir!"

Matthew nodded his head, and Chloe turned around, returned to her desk, and immediately contacted Judy.

Although Matthew said that his meeting with Judy was only for business purposes, Chloe still felt hesitant.

Moreover, it seems that there has been no talk that can give any certainty, how the continuation of his relationship with Matthew.

If Matthew really just wants to play around with Chloe, then Chloe just needs to forget about it, and continue the plan to move to work.

Returning from the office, Chloe helped Matthew get ready first, then went to the pavilion to clean himself up.

While waiting for Judy's arrival who has agreed to an appointment request from Matthew at her home, Chloe sits in a chair near Matthew's room.

And to take advantage of the time, Chloe checked the Curriculum Vitae— document containing personal data—from job applicants to become Matthew's assistant.

"Cloe!" Matthew's voice calling out to him from inside his room, surprised the fun-loving Chloe.

In a hurry, Chloe closed the laptop on her lap, and met Matthew in the room. "Yes, Sir! ... What's up?"

"What are you doing outside?" matthew asked, looking at the laptop held by Chloe.

"I confirm the incoming email from the personnel section" Chloe replied, as was.

"Let's go! ... We can see it together" Matthew said, putting on an unhappy look. "We're not in the office, but why are you still acting like this?"

"Ugh? ... Is something wrong, sir?" chloe asked, confused.

"Nrt! ... It sucks!" matthew said, clucking in annoyance, and turning his face away. "Is Judy not here yet?"

Chloe looked at the watch on her wrist. "In a moment, Miss Parker should have arrived here."

And almost at the same time, Chloe's phone also suddenly rang, so Chloe hurriedly saw who contacted her.

However, as Chloe sees that David's contact appears on her phone screen, Chloe finds out that she can't take the call in front of Matthew, and hastily rejects it.

At once, Matthew seemed to get even more annoyed, until he looked at Chloe, gritting his teeth.

To distract Matthew, Chloe then said,

"If there's nothing more you need, I'll be forward to welcoming Miss Parker."

"Who called you?"
