It did not take long, the working hours were not even over, but the discussion about the rigid and firm attitude of the new CEO, had spread from the mouth of the employees there.
Even Agatha who was together with Chloe, who got a separate workspace from the other employees, could already hear the rumors about Matthew.
"Is the new CEO a very rigid person?" ask Agatha.
Chloe, who was tidying up her desk, just nodded her head, without distracting her from the desk.
"Geez! ... What about our work?" asked Agatha, who looked worried.
"What do you mean?" Chloe asked back.
"Wouldn't he complicate our work?" Agatha made clear the meaning of the question earlier.
"I don't know either. The important thing is that we're working well, it doesn't feel like anything's going to happen" Chloe replied.
Just as Chloe finished talking, the CEO's workspace door then opened, and Matthew was seen walking out of it.
In a hurry, Agatha stood up then slightly bowed, to pay her respects to Matthew.
"Hi, Sir! ... Are you ready to go home?" chloe said as she approached Matthew, who stopped walking, and stood not far from Chloe's desk.
"Have you made all the copies I asked for?" ask Matthew.
"It's all, sir!" answer Chloe.
Without saying anything more, Matthew immediately turned around and walked away from there, and Chloe immediately caught up with him, walking behind him.
After Matthew got into the elevator, while being overtaken by Chloe, Matthew suddenly said,
"Are you coming with me, coming to the party later?"
"Yes, Sir!" answer Chloe.
"It didn't take you long to get ready for the party, did it?" ask Matthew, again.
"Ugh?" Chloe didn't understand, where Matthew was going.
"There's still time. Bring me the copy I asked for. We're still going to work at my house" Matthew said.
"Oohhh! ... Yes, Sir!" sahut Chloe's.

In accordance with Matthew's wishes, without going to the pavilion, Chloe followed Matthew to his study, which was in the main house building.
While Matthew opens the suit, Chloe prepares Matthew's laptop, which is then connected to a flashdrive containing a copy of the data, which was requested by Matthew earlier.
"Do you want me to prepare tea and snacks?" chloe asked, lifting Matthew's suit from the chair, and intending to take him outside.
Instead of Matthew answering Chloe's question earlier, Matthew asked back, saying,
"City ... That's your name, isn't it?"
"Yes, sir," replied Chloe.
"What do you think the real job of an assistant CEO is?" ask Matthew.
"Hmmm...." Chloe only muttered, but not because she didn't know the answer.
But because Chloe was just confused, why did Matthew ask her about it.
"In this house, there's a housekeeper. You just give them direction, so you can work according to your responsibilities," Matthew said.
Chloe finally understood, to the point of Matthew, who had been scolding her since yesterday.
As such, Matthew doesn't seem as bad as Chloe could have imagined.
It's just that, the way Matthew communicates, it's kind of hard for Chloe to understand.
"I'm sorry, Sir ... But I was hired by Mister Nathan McLean, not just as an assistant CEO....

Matthew sat down in his chair, and after only being silent for a while, he said,
"Bring me two cups of tea and a snack."

Until it's almost time for them to attend the invitation to the party, Chloe's extra work session is over.

At a new CEO welcoming party held in a hotel building, the invited guests present, were mostly people from the board of commissioners and directors.
Chloe who stood not too far away from Matthew, remained attentive to the way Matthew socialized, and remained vigilant, just in case Matthew was being defiant, to people who disliked him.
According to Chloe, Matthew stood out among the invited guests, who were present there.
In addition to his attractive and charismatic physical appearance, Matthew also turns out to be good at communicating, and able to speak more than three languages from other countries.
As such, Matthew seemed to blend in well with foreign investors, and only looked stiff, as he was approached by several people from the board of commissioners and directors.
Feeling that everything was going to be fine, Chloe then walked away from Matthew, and went to enjoy the party, chatting with the guests she could meet.
"The new CEO is so handsome!" chirp one of the female celebrities, who became the face for the company's commercial, when she ran into Chloe.
"Can Miss Fern make an appointment, so I can talk to her alone?" continue the woman.
"In these weeks, Mister McLean's schedule is full" Chloe replied, smiling.
"Hm ... Very unfortunate. Because just this week, I'm still in this country" the celebrity said.
"Miss Fern! ... If the CEO has some free time, can you tell me?" continue the woman again.
"Of course!" answer Chloe, perfunctorily.
"Thank you, Miss Fern!" said the woman with a big smile, then walked away from where Chloe was standing.
Chloe simply shook her head, after the female celebrity had gone away from her.
The balcony where Chloe was standing alone, looking at the urban area below, was suddenly visited by David, who greeted her.
"Hi, Chloe!" David approaches Chloe, then offers Chloe a glass of champagne.
"Hi, Sir!" chloe replied to David's greeting, showing David, in his hand, there was also champagne filled with almost half a glass.
"Why are you alone here?" david asked, putting one of the champagne glasses over the balcony railing.
"It's okay, Sir ... The view here is pretty good" Chloe replied.
"It seems Matthew is just complicating your work" David said.
"Hm ... Not so, Sir ... I really just want to see the scenery" said Chloe, then pointed towards the urban area visible from above.
"Then, why don't you join them inside?" ask Chloe.
David then took out a cigarette, and then lit it there.
"It!" david sahut, then showed a cigarette that was clamped by his finger.
"You don't want to see me smoking in there, do you?" david continued, smiling.
David then leaned against the balcony railing, turned his back to the outside of the balcony, and said,
"I want to stop working."
"Ugh? ... Why do you think that, sir?" ask Chloe, who was astonished.
"You see for yourself, how the situation inside the company has been" David replied.
Chloe then fell silent.
"But ... Is it possible, there will be a woman who wants to make an unemployed person, as her lover?" david, who looked almost laughing.
"Pff.ht...! This is why, so that I never take it seriously, every time I have a conversation with you," Chloe said, laughing.
"I mean it! ... I was tired, with the tension going on in the office" David said.
"Nrt! ... I'm sorry ... I just ruined the mood" continued David, who looked regretful.
"It's okay, Sir!" sahut Chloe's.
"Have you found a lover? Or just busy with your work?" david asked suddenly, while turning off the flame from his cigarette.
"Hm ... In the meantime, I'm not interested in dating" Chloe replied.
"How about you just go on a date with me?" david asked, then it looked as if he was going to laugh.
"Please, Sir...! Don't tease me...!" chloe said, shaking her head, when she saw David who finally laughed.
"Cloe!" Matthew's voice suddenly called out to her, making Chloe immediately turn around.
Matthew was seen walking over to Chloe, then said,
"What are you doing out here?"
"I'm just enjoying the view, sir," Chloe replied, pointing out the balcony.
Matthew looked at Chloe and David alternately, then stopped his gaze towards Chloe, then said,
"Aren't you supposed to be with me?"
