The Part 70

"Aren't you the one having fun?" chloe asked, shaking her head. "You've just dated Miss Parker!"

"I'm just pretending, Chloe! ... Didn't you hear what I said to you last night?" matthew, sounds as if he wants to defend himself.

"That's it, sir!" Chloe was reluctant to talk about Matthew's date, preferring to talk about delayed work, until she continued,

"Wouldn't we check the CV of a new applicant? Because by tomorrow morning, I have to send an email notification to the personnel section....

... So that tomorrow after lunch break, you can already interview directly the candidates who will be your assistants later."

"Just here!" matthew said, letting Chloe go to get the laptop, which he left on the desk this afternoon.

Chloe then picked up a chair and placed it near Matthew's bed, then sat there and turned on the laptop, saying,

"It's not you who can judge it" Matthew said, furrowing his brows deeply, looking at Chloe. "What are you doing there? ... Sit here!"

Matthew directs Chloe to sit on the bed, next to him.

After Chloe sits beside him, Matthew then embraces Chloe's waist, until Chloe becomes increasingly upset by it.

Chloe then shook Matthew's hand and kept him away, saying,

"You and I, are his bosses and employees! Why are you acting like this?"

"What do you mean?" matthew asked, with a voice trembling so bitterly. "You say you love me! ... But you don't want me?"

"The sir! ... Although I'm in love with you, but we have nothing to do, right?!" chloe said, I'm challenging.

Matthew then looked as if he wanted to calm himself down, with a long sigh, and exhaled slowly.

The laptop was on Chloe's lap, then Matthew took it, then put it on the nightstand.

"You don't seem to understand ... I'm sorry, I should've told you." Matthew pulls Chloe, looking to sit Chloe on his lap.

But Chloe thrashed, so Matthew seemed to try to calm Chloe by saying, Matthew,

Chloe did feel, if Matthew's plan to test David in that way would not be effective, and the result is not the actual result.

"I know that. Precisely when someone is being dominated by the ego, then that's when his true nature will be seen" said Matthew, who actually looks confident.

For a while later, Chloe and Matthew just fell silent while looking at each other, until Matthew then said,

"I...." Chloe hesitated to answer.

Chloe watched carefully Matthew's words, which sounded like Matthew wanted Chloe to take part in his plan.

Although Matthew acts as if he is jealous of David and Matteo, there is no certainty from Matthew, what exactly the man thinks about the relationship between him and Chloe next.

Matthew seems to be more concentrated on the company, and the people who take part in it.

Thus, how can Chloe be sure, if Matthew does love her, like what Matthew said to her?

It could have been, if Matthew had said that he loved Chloe, just to blind Chloe, to help Matthew carry out his plan.

And it could be, after all Matthew's wishes are achieved, then at that time Chloe will be left out and forgotten, because Matthew who no longer needs Chloe.

Not like David.

David is inversely related to Matthew.

Although David looks like he is joking with Chloe, David seems to be trying hard to convince Chloe that he really loves her.

David always stood in front, being a shield to defend Chloe, until David seemed to not think about the consequences he would receive, because of his attitude to guard and protect Chloe.

Chloe put the laptop over Matthew's lap, then climbed down from the bed, and prepared to walk away from Matthew's room.

What if something happens to David?

"Are you done choosing?"
