Apparently, David did not accept the authoritarian attitude shown by Matthew to Chloe, so he then said, saying,

"Matthew! ... Even though he's your assistant, but I think he needs some time to himself, too."

The smell of opposition seemed to have sniffed there, and Chloe who did not want the situation to become more and more murky, then looked at Matthew, then said,

"I'm sorry, Sir ... I'll come with you now."

Then quickly, Chloe looked towards David, then said,

"I go first, Sir! ... Excuse me!"

"Cloe!" david exclaimed, with a high voice.

"Please, Sir...! We can talk some more next time" Chloe said, so David wouldn't hold her back.

"Australia! ... Chloe's not just an assistant CEO. He is also my personal assistant. Of course if I need it, then it has nothing to do with you, right?" matthew said, firmly.

"The sir! ... Let's go now!" chloe said to take Matthew away, before David responded to Matthew's words.

In a hurry, without Chloe noticing it again, she had held Matthew's hand, and it was as if she was dragging the boss along with her, and away from David.

After Chloe and Matthew were already at a considerable distance from David, Matthew violently removed Chloe's hand from his arm, then asked, saying,

"What's your relationship with David?"

"The sir! ... Mister David McLean, was the first person I knew, when I started working at your family company....

... And until now, I still maintain that good relationship with her" Chloe replied, slowly explaining it to Matthew.

Chloe understands that Matthew would be sensitive, if Chloe was related to David, because she remembers David's daddy, who is one of the people who doesn't like Nathan.

However, it still feels quite upsetting to Chloe, who seems as if she can't be trusted by Matthew.

Nathan trusts Chloe, who never intends to betray Nathan's trust.

"Do you want me to get you something?" chloe asked, mince words to divert their conversation.

"You said David was the first person you knew. How could? While you work with my daddy!"

Matthew seemed to remain suspicious of Chloe, so he could ask such a question.

So inevitably, Chloe then explained it again to Matthew, saying,

"The first time I came into McLean's office for a job interview, I got lost. That's when I met Mister David....

... It was Mister David, who then drove me, to the room where the job interview was taking place."

As Chloe spoke, Matthew looked fixedly at Chloe, as if he was judging the truth, from Chloe's words.

"We'd better go home now" Matthew said suddenly, after he had only been silent for a while.

"Ugh? ... But the party's not over, sir!" chloe, confused.

"I've met everyone I have to meet. Call the driver to get ready to take us home!" said Matthew.

Matthew walks out of the room where the party is taking place, and Chloe hurriedly catches up with him, calling Matthew's personal driver.

Upon arrival at Matthew's house, Chloe did not immediately go to the pavilion, as Matthew told her to enter the main house.

"You're not sleepy yet, are you? ... Come with me, there's something I still want to talk to you about" said Matthew, who apparently won't, if answered no by Chloe.

When they enter the house, Chloe is then directed by Matthew to meet with the housekeeper to prepare dinner, while Matthew goes to his room.

As Chloe returns from the kitchen, and walks into the dining room, Matthew is seen already there.

But according to Chloe, the boss looked different than usual.

Because Chloe had never seen Matthew's hair without the stylist's gel, at times before.

Similarly, the clothes worn by Matthew at this time, which looked too casual.

Matthew only wears jeans, torn on his thighs and knees, and paired with a loose plain T-shirt, and a pair of slip-on sandals.

"Hi!" greet Matthew, while still maintaining a smile on his face.

"Hi! ... Sir?" chloe, who became even more confused, after hearing the way Matthew greeted her.

"What's your name?" ask Matthew.

Matthew held out his hand toward Chloe, as if they had only met for the first time, and he wanted to meet Chloe, shaking hands.

"Ugh?" Chloe doesn't know what to say.

To the whole, Matthew's attitude felt really weird and scary, to Chloe.

As if, Matthew is someone who has a double personality, so Chloe wants to contact Nathan and Maddison, at that time.

Because according to Chloe, even though the amount of rewards she received was quite large, but it felt, the value of the rewards was not big enough anymore, if Chloe was required to supervise someone, who had a mental disorder.

"Matt! ... What are you doing here?"

"Hi, Sir! ... My name is Chloe Fern" Chloe said to Matteo, smiling.

While introducing herself, Chloe then extended her hand towards Matteo, in order to shake hands with him.

"You must be Mister Matteo McLean ... Forgive me, who recognized you too late. I didn't expect you to be in this place either....

... So, I was confused, and thought that you were Mister Matthew McLean."

"It doesn't matter! ... Katherine ... A beautiful name, according to your pretty face," said Matteo, with a big smile.

"Matt! ... Don't interrupt my assistant! ... When did you come? Have you seen mommy and daddy?" said Matthew, who looked upset, while reprimanding his sister.

"My flight was delayed, so I just got here this afternoon" Matteo said.

"Then why are you here? Did mommy and daddy know you were coming?" ask Matthew, again.

"Yes ... I went there earlier. But they are now having guests. And I also want to meet you," replied Matteo.

At that very moment, the house assistants in the house, seen arranging the dinner, on the dining table.

"Chelle! ... Dinner here with me!" matthew said, then went to sit in one of the empty seats.

Matteo, meanwhile, was seen going to slide one of the chairs, and as if he was inviting Chloe to sit on the chair she shifted, saying, saying,

"You can sit here. And don't call me Mister or Sir ... Enough with Matteo's name."

"Thank you, Sir ... But—" Chloe did not have time to finish her sentence, because Matteo interrupted Chloe's words, saying,

"Come on...! Didn't I say, don't call me Sir?!"

Chloe then fell silent from doubt.

"Then, don't you want to sit down?" matteo.

"Okay, Matteo! ... Thank you!" chloe said, as she approached Matteo, then sat down on the chair that Matteo had prepared for her.

"That's great! ... You're welcome!" matteo said, looking excited, then immediately sat down on the chair, which was next to Chloe.

Matthew, who had noticed the movements of Matteo and Chloe, looked increasingly upset, then said,

"What exactly do you want to do here? You can't possibly expect me to believe that you miss me, can you?"

"Nrt! ... I plan to stay in this country. And for a while, I'll stay in this house. Up to my house and my studio, it's done being prepared" Matteo said.
