Part 8's

"Good morning, sir!"

That morning, even though Chloe was still harboring her resentment, she was still trying to act as if nothing had happened last night.

"Morning! ..." Apparently, in addition to saying hello back, Matthew still wanted to say something to Chloe.

Chloe pretends not to notice, and closes the car door, after Matthew gets in there.

In fact, Chloe did not want to sit with her boss in the rear passenger seat as usual, but instead chose to sit in the front passenger seat, next to Matthew's private driver.

Of course, the situation will look surprising, but according to Chloe, it would be better if so, so that Matthew does not feel that it is as if Chloe will cross his personal boundaries.

Along the way, none of them said anything, until they arrived at the office building.

"Good morning, sir!" greet Agatha, standing up, as Matthew flashed in front of her.

"Morning!" Matthew rushes inside the CEO's den, while Chloe immediately sits in her chair, which is next to Agatha.

"What else is wrong with you today? Your lips almost touched the floor." Agatha who did not return to her seat, was seen walking towards the pantry.

Chloe who had turned on her computer, while checking the work files on the table, had no time to respond to Agatha's words just now.

Until Agatha returned with a tray in her hand, and took the time to stop at their desk, saying, saying,

"Mister David was looking for you."

"Is there anything he said?" ask Chloe.

Agatha does not answer Chloe's questions, and instead rushes into the CEO's workspace, to deliver a drink for Matthew.

When Agatha came out of Matthew's study, she answered Chloe's question, saying,

"none. He's just asking if you've arrived at the office or not."

Before Agatha disappears again while walking towards the pantry, she still tells Chloe a message from Matthew.

"CEO called you!"

"Tsk!" Chloe clucked violently, but she stood up from her seat, and entered Matthew's study.

"Excuse me, Sir!" greet Chloe, after opening the door, and approach Matthew at his desk. "Is there anything you need?"

Matthew lifted his gaze, and looked at Chloe fixedly, but hesitated to say something.

"What's up, sir?" chloe asked, after waiting for a while, but Matthew said nothing.

"Hm ... Have there been no reports of entry from the city xx?" Matthew had to ask that.

"The files you have to sign. But I just checked it out. I'll be dropping you off in a minute" Chloe replied.

Seeing that Matthew was silent, and as if there was nothing else she wanted to talk about, Chloe continued,

"Other than that file, is there anything else you need?"

"Nothing" Matthew replied, then looked back at his computer screen.

"Good! Then I'll go first! Excuse me, Sir!" chloe said, then turned around, and passed away from Matthew's study.

It sucks!

If Matthew dared to bring up the issue of payment of his wages, then Chloe would not hesitate to accept it, then immediately submit her resignation letter.

Agatha who was seen already sitting back in her chair at that time, then immediately said,

"Hey! ... Your face is getting worse!"

"Norgh! ... I'll probably find a new job." Chloe sat down roughly to her work chair, then stared at the computer screen that was still on, propping up her chin.

"Is it that hard?" agatha asked, sliding a cup of coffee towards Chloe.

"Imagine it.." said Chloe carelessly, then glanced at the cup of coffee that was already nearby. "Thank you for the coffee!"

"Together" said Agatha.

According to Chloe, all the files on her desk have been checked, so Chloe then re-enters Matthew's office.

And while handing over the files to Matthew, Chloe also informed all of Matthew's work schedule for today, which she had arranged since yesterday.

"Agatha will accompany your every appointment today, Sir!" Chloe.

Matthew seemed surprised by Chloe's statement, so he was seen hastily lifting his gaze.

Apparently, Matthew disagrees if Chloe is replaced by Agatha. And Chloe's conjecture proved to be true, when Matthew knitted his brows, then said, saying,

"What are you gonna do? Why aren't you accompanying me?"

"I'm sorry, Sir ... But I have to prepare the board meeting materials for tomorrow morning" Chloe replied.

"Isn't that what you can do after your lunch break is over?" ask Matthew.

"I still have to rearrange the appointments of some clients, who you can't meet today, because of a change in schedule." Again, Chloe reasoned with her other work activities.

"Begging Agatha to do it for you. And you'll be with me." Matthew seemed to remain adamant, until Chloe did not reject him again.

"Good, Sir! ... I'll tell Agatha. Excuse me!" Chloe turned around and almost walked out of Matthew's study, as Matthew held her back, saying,

"Wait a minute!"

Matthew stood up from his seat, then continued to say,

"We can go outside together. You don't have to go back and forth to this room."

Inevitably, Chloe then goes back to Matthew's desk, and retrieves some necessary files for the meeting, which Matthew will do.

"Please, Sir!" Chloe opened the door for Matthew, hugging the sheet on her chest, with one hand.

Chloe then tells Agatha what to do, while Chloe works outside to accompany Matthew.

While walking out of the office building with Matthew, Chloe immediately contacted the private driver, to get ready to deliver them to the project site, which was being worked on by McLean property in the city.

Just like when they left for work this morning, Chloe chose to sit in the front beside the driver, while Matthew sat alone in the back.

Chloe was in no mood to talk to Matthew much. Because of Matthew's attitude that seems to know everything, Chloe will also work according to her standards.

Until they arrive on the job site, Chloe simply introduces Matthew to the project chief who is waiting for them there, then lets Matthew take care of his own work.

"Did you record everything?" matthew asked, on the sidelines of his conversation with the head of the project.

"Yes, Sir! ... You can just continue your conversation," said Chloe flatly, while continuing to write down what is important, from the discussion between Matthew and the head of the project at the place, without commenting anything.

They were still there, when David was seen approaching Chloe, with a big smile.

"Hi, Chloe!" greet David.

"Hi, Sir!" Chloe greeted back, smiling. "You also served on the field today?"

"Yes ... I—" David could not continue his words, because Matthew interrupted, saying,

"Can you still work well? If every time there's a distraction, then your attention gets distracted?"

The question from Matthew, it sounds like he is addressing Chloe, although while talking, Matthew actually looks at David, with his cynical gaze.

"Hi, Matthew!" greet David, with a faint smile.

"David!" It seems clear, if Matthew just simply returned a greeting from David.

"I'm sorry, Sir ... But I will not neglect my duty. So you don't have to worry" Chloe told Matthew.

Then, with her voice whispering, Chloe who looked towards David, then said,

"Wait a minute, sir...!"

"It's okay ... I'm not in a hurry either" said David, who also whispered, then seemed to blink one eye, smiling at Chloe.
