The introduction from Chloe, it seemed very surprising to Matthew, until the look on his face seemed to change drastically, before he again knitted his eyebrows together, then said,

"Why can an assistant CEO double as a janitor? Can you really work? Or just relying on the kindness of my daddy?"

"I'm sorry, Sir ... I really don't want to reason. But just now, I waited for your arrival, without knowing what to do. I am used to being busy with work....

... That's why, then, I chose to help the workers in this house, rather than just sitting around daydreaming" Chloe said.

Chloe tried to keep talking in a flat tone of voice, even though she actually felt very upset with Matthew, at this time.

While walking away to the pavilion, Chloe couldn't stop grumbling.

Upon his return from the pavilion, and into Matthew's den, some of the filesheets he held, along with a flashdrive, were immediately given by Chloe to Matthew.

Matthew who had been sitting on the sofa, then immediately stood up, while carrying whatever was given by Chloe, to him earlier.

Matthew changed seats in a chair, facing a medium-sized work desk.

"You can sit there! ... If there's anything I need, I don't want to waste my time, just to call you" Matthew said.

Matthew spoke to Chloe, without taking his eyes off the sheets of paper he was holding.

"Good, Sir!" Chloe obeyed Matthew, then sat down on the sofa.

And while waiting for what next, which Matthew will direct to him, by stealing the opportunity, Chloe takes a look at the screen of her phone.

Every now and then, Chloe glanced at Matthew.

Chloe was still accompanying Matthew in the study until dinner time.

According to a message from Nathan to Chloe, tonight, Nathan and Maddison will come to Matthew's house, for dinner together.

Because of that information, Chloe asked Matthew for permission to leave her study, saying,

"The sir! ... I'll check the dinner preparations, before your two parents come."

Matthew can be seen nodding his head, without taking his eyes off the laptop screen, and without saying anything, to respond to Chloe's words.

Less than fifteen minutes before dinner, Nathan and Maddison are seen coming to Matthew's house.

In a hurry, Chloe greeted Nathan and his wife, then greeted them first.

"Good night, sir! ... Madame!" greet Chloe, with a smile.

"Good night, Chloe!" nathan said, saying hello.

"Good night, Chloe!" Maddison also responded to Chloe's greeting, then continued to say,

"Where is Matthew? Can she get along with you?"

"Mister McLean is in his study, madam!" chloe replied, smiling.

After a while Maddison looked at Chloe, she then said,

"Oh, gosh! ... My question is ridiculous! You must have trouble dealing with it. Please forgive, Chloe....

... Matthew is actually good. He was just too stiff like his Grandpa. Moreover, if he deals with matters, related to work."

Maddison seems to be able to read the mind of Chloe, although Chloe still smiles in front of him.

"You don't have to worry, Madam! ... I'll try to get along with her soon" said Chloe.

Without any more time, after Nathan and Maddison sat in the chair available in the dining room, Chloe immediately approached Matthew in his study.

"The sir! ... Your parents are already waiting in the dining room" Chloe said, smiling.

Matthew lifted his gaze from the laptop screen, and stared at Chloe for a while, without saying anything.

The smile on Chloe's face, it felt like it had disappeared, because she who was confused made Matthew.

Chloe doesn't know what to say anymore, so Matthew can see his parents soon.

Although it felt very awkward, because it was stared at by Matthew like that, but inevitably, Chloe just stood still, waiting and hoping, for Matthew to immediately stand up from his chair.

"Are you a fool?" matthew asked suddenly, who sounded cynical, and so did his gaze towards Chloe, who looked just as cynical.

"Are you a messenger boy? From now on, other than what I ordered, no matter what you do, nothing makes sense!" matthew continued, standing up from his seat.

Chloe could only let out a heavy, deep sigh, then exhaled slowly, to calm herself down, while looking at Matthew walking past her.

In the dining room, after Matthew and his parents greet each other, Chloe intends to leave from there, so that Nathan and Maddison can spend time with Matthew.

However, when Chloe resigns, Nathan and Maddison seem to disagree, if Chloe does not come to dinner with them.

"Chelle! ... Where are you going?" ask Nathan.

"Sir—" Chloe did not have time to finish her sentence, because Maddison interrupted her words, saying,

"Don't go anywhere! You'll come to dinner with us!"

Seeing Nathan and Maddison seem insistent, Chloe finally agrees to their invitation to dinner, then sits there.

After the dinner was finished being served by the housekeeper, and left there only Chloe, Matthew, Nathan and Maddison, not long, Nathan then said,

"Matthew! ... Please be nice to Chloe! Don't make him want to stop working, just because he finds it difficult to face you!"
