Chapter 107 - Return
Dragon Valley
At this moment Lin Yan continued moving out of the Dragon Valley. Although the place was very good for cultivating, he did not want to take any risks. Because, Huan Caiyi was currently in a bad state, if the qi in that place possessed her brother's body and was not digested, Lin Yan was afraid of something bad happening so he took her out.
On the way, Lin Yan had always avoided those spirit beasts that seemed to get stronger over time.
Lin Yan was aware that someday the strength of the spirit beasts in that place would be terrifying. However, from the records left behind by the ancient Zhu clan, they would not be able to get out of the Dragon Valley as everything was related to that place.
It had been almost a week Lin Yan had continued moving out. He rested a few times. However, Huan Caiyi was still unconscious which made Lin Yan even more worried.
After more than a week, Lin Yan who was carrying Huan Caiyi had also walked out of the Dragon Valley. He let out a long sigh and looked at Huan Caiyi who was in his arms.
Lin Yan was aware that Huan Caiyi must be having a tough fight. Because of one thing, Huan Caiyi's mentality seemed very exhausted which made him unconscious until now.
“Better I return to the Sky Dragon sect. This is the best.” Mumbled Lin Yan. He did not know that he had been out on a mission for almost four months. He no longer cared about the mission and the fines he had to pay.
Two weeks later
It currently looked at Lin Yan who was already approaching the Heavenly Dragon sect. On his back was seen the already conscious Huan Caiyi. However, his condition was not good and he could not walk alone. There was no other way other than Lin Yan having to carry him back to the Heavenly Dragon sect.
“We are almost there, brother.” said Lin Yan as he jumped from one tree to another. In the distance, there was a gate of the wilderness within the Heavenly Dragon sect.
“Sorry to trouble you, Yan'er.” The Whisperer of Huan Caiyi.
“No problem, you are currently injured. It's my job to do this.” Reply Lin Yan.
Huan Caiyi felt very happy to hear that. At first, she was terrified that something had happened to her sister. When he regained consciousness, the first thing he asked was Lin Yan's condition and not paying attention to his own injuries.
Lin Yan felt very warm knowing that Huan Caiyi loved him very much.
But Huan Caiyi did not tell what had happened back then so that Lin Yan did not feel guilty. Also, he tried to examine Lin Yan's body and did not find anything strange even though Lin Yan was at a loss as to why Huan Caiyi examined his body carefully.
When reaching the gate of the Heavenly Dragon sect, the disciples guarding the gate were not too surprised to see the two who came with the condition of one person being injured. Because, it was a common thing for disciples who took missions outside the sect. Even many don't come back because they died out there.
After showing the token and Huan Caiyi's, the disciples guarding the gate let the two enter.
“We will pay the fine first. Even if we know what happened to that place, we still cannot report because the completion of the mission was not authorized by the Zhu.” clan Said Lin Yan while slowly walking towards the Mission Hall.
“Ya.” Huan Caiyi simply nodded in agreement.
Lin Yan took Huan Caiyi to the Mission Hall to pay the fine. When he reached that place, Lin Yan directly approached the mission submission place. He immediately gave the mission sheet paper that he had taken before.
“Mission failed? No surprise at all.” The elder guarding the place said after examining Lin Yan's mission retrieval documents with his second and fourth stage Xiantian cultivation level.
But the Elder shriveled as he examined the cultivation level belonging to Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi who were on his back.
All of the disciples and Elders who were there were certainly very surprised to hear that. All eyes were now on Lin Yan who was carrying Huan Caiyi.
“We have a lucky encounter that makes our cultivation improve quickly. How much is the fine for mission failure?” Asked Lin Yan directly because he was already eager to return to his residence.
The elder was aware of his shock and said the amount of the mission failure fine.
After Lin Yan handed over the fine, he immediately left the place. All the disciples there had hot eyes because they wanted to know what the two found while on a mission.
If he could, all the disciples wanted to purchase the resources found by Lin Yan.
Lin Yan did not care about any of that at all. He also went to his residence.
When he reached his residence, he was stopped in the middle of the road because not far ahead, he saw two figures cultivating right outside the barrier he created.
“It appears we have a guest, Yan'er.” Huan Caiyi said while giggling and his gaze could not shift away from Gu Yin.
Both of them were of course Gu Yuena and Gu Yin who had entered the wilderness within the Heavenly Dragon sect. Since Gu Yin had always been cultivating in that place, Gu Yuena finally gave up and accompanied her cousin.
Lin Yan was speechless when he heard what Huan Caiyi said. He sighed tiredly and walked slowly to his residence.
Gu Yuena and Gu Yin instantly opened their eyes when they sensed that someone was approaching.
When he looked at Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi, Gu Yin immediately jumped forward with a longing face.
Meanwhile, Gu Yuena looked at Gu Yin with a stinky gaze then looked towards Lin Yan with an annoyed look.
“Lin Yan. I have been waiting for you. Hm? What happened to brother?” Gu Yin asked in surprise and panicked a little when she saw Huan Caiyi's condition.
“Kakak? Really don't know shy.” Gu Yuena said inwardly. He also slowly approached towards Lin Yan as well.
Gu Yin would naturally call Huan Caiyi as big brother because Lin Yan was like that as well.
Huan Caiyi opened his mouth shut because he understood the meaning of Gu Yin's words. But he remained silent and handed the rest to his little brother.
“We had an accident while running a mission,” Lin Yan replied then continued, “Then, what are you two doing here?”
“Of course we are waiting for your arrival!” Gu Yuena replied in a displeased tone to Lin Yan.
Gu Yin glared at Gu Yuena for yelling at her heart which she had been waiting for all this time to meet.
Looking at her cousin who was glaring at her with instincts, Gu Yuena was speechless and only glared back in dissatisfaction with Gu Yin's attitude that seemed to prefer Lin Yan over herself.
Lin Yan let out a long sigh looking at the two unreasonable women then spoke, “Let's go in first.”
