Chapter 242 - The Assyrian Dragon Goddess

The figure of a giant dragon seemed to lie down as if asleep even if it was just a shell.
“Lin Yan.. what is that creature?” Xia Yue'er who was directly hiding inside Lin Yan's clothes with a trembling body immediately asked.
“Yue’er. It is not a creature, but an outer shell.” Reply Lin Yan and slowly look around him.
“Oh?” Xia Yue'er also slowly flew away then looked at the dragon skin closely. Although it let out a strange black steam, there were no signs of life that made him sigh in relief as he stroked his chest.
Meanwhile, Lin Yan slowly walked to a certain place on the outskirts of the underground cave.
Lin Yan came to a halt in front of several statues that looked to be of a human-like size in general.
“Hm? It seems I've seen this statue.” Xia Yue'er muttered as she sat suddenly on Lin Yan's shoulder.
“You must have seen it in the Spirit World, where the monument about Humans and Dragons is mentioned.” Reply Lin Yan rolled his eyeballs towards Xia Yue'er because the tiny Spirit was so forgetful.
“Yes I remember. The frontmost statue was also in the Fairy Spirit World. If not mistaken, father told me that he was referred to as the Human Emperor.” Xia Yue'er spoke back and stared at the other statues.
Lin Yan shook his head looking at Xia Yue'er. He slowly approached and looked closely at the statue that might belong to the First Generation Human Emperor.
Since it was a statue made of stone and had no color, the face of the Human Emperor was not very clear as it had been a long time since the statue was made.
Lin Yan's gaze was fixed on the back of the statue. Behind the first statue, very many figures were visible.
Many of them women. But Lin Yan's gaze was fixed on the one woman who had a fairly clear statue.
“Lin Yan! Look it! Why does this statue look like you?” Xia Yue'er asked as she pointed at the statue that Lin Yan was looking at as well.
Lin Yan slowly approached and looked at the statue of the beautiful woman with six wings on her back. Both of his arms had the shape of a dragon from his elbow to the tip of his finger was holding the hilt of a sword that was stuck down with both hands and the hilt as a pedestal.
“Eh. There is an explanation about it. Only this statue exists.” Xia Yue'er stared at the foot of the statue of the woman.
Lin Yan's gaze was fixed on the bottom of the statue. The statue of the woman was standing on a stone and there was a certain writing that was a little fuzzy.
“Dewi Naga Asyura.” Lin Yan muttered reading the writing. He stared back at the statue with a blank look for a moment.
“Dewi Naga Asyura.” Lin Yan mentioned the name several times with a blank look.

The statue also looked like it opened its eyes which made Lin Yan and Xia Yue'er shocked to death.

An extremely strong Qi was blowing in all directions. On top of the statue of the woman, the qi slowly gathered and enveloped the statue.
Cracks! Cracks! Cracks!
The statue appears to have cracks on the surface and then displays a very beautiful female figure although it is very visible that it is still a statue.
The statue of the Asyura Dragon Goddess spoke as the qi explosion had subsided.
“Lin Yan! The statue speaks!” Xia Yue'er exclaimed in surprise.
“Hm? What are you little lady?” Ask the statue of the Dragon Goddess Asyura.
“Hei statue of a woman! How do you speak? Are you using a qi Formation that will be active at any given moment? I've heard of this even though I can't believe I'm going to see it in person! And who do you call a tiny creature?” Shouted Xia Yue'er. He was not at all afraid because he knew that it was just a statue. He had heard from his father that there was such a special Formation but the information about the use of the Formation had disappeared.
“Aren't you tiny? You're only the size of a palm.” Reply the statue of the Dragon Goddess Asyura.
Xia Yue'er also gritted her teeth firmly. He pointed his tiny arm and the Formation circle was created because he wanted to destroy the statue of the woman.
“Stop Yue'er.” said Lin Yan and looked at the statue carefully once again. He looked straight at his eyes.
The Asyura Dragon Goddess ignored Xia Yue'er and looked towards Lin Yan as well.
Lin Yan slowly closed his eyes and reopened them. His eyes had now turned into the same Dragon eyes as the woman.
“Oh?” The Asyura Dragon Goddess was surprised to see Lin Yan's eyes. He smiled warmly at Lin Yan.
“It looks like you do know me.” Lin Yan opened his voice again and looked at the Asyura Dragon Goddess with slightly narrowed eyes.
“Yes. Even though I've only seen you once, I'm sure it's you. You used to look very fragile, but now it seems you survived and grew up.” Reply Dragon Goddess Asyura.
“Then? No kidding! That Human Emperor lived in the times millions of years ago. How can you see me? You must be living at the same time as him!” Lin Yan said and pointed towards the statue of the Human Emperor.
“Oh? Has that long been the time? Do not be angry.all these statues are the work of a person and will not be destroyed by time. I don't understand about the concept of time or rather I can't count time because I was in those days just idly putting the Formation in my own statue and carrying all my memories.” Reply to the woman with a warm smile.
Lin Yan was silent hearing it. Even Xia Yue'er was speechless as the Formation was extremely durable despite being made out of sheer fad.
“You have the same shape as me. Dragon Claws, Six Wings and Dragon Eyes. Can you tell me who you are and who I am?” Asked Lin Yan. From this, he had speculated as well that he was not from the Lin Clan. But his grandparents found him when he was a baby.
“Who? I can't tell you. But, I will help you to get a clue to find your true identity.” Reply Dragon Goddess Asyura.
“Hint?” The wrinkles on Lin Yan's face were getting more and more numerous. But he remained patient knowing that it was impossible to force the statue to speak.
“Yes. Did you see that giant? If you are the same as me, you can definitely use the power to devour something and make it your own power.” The Asyura Dragon Goddess.
“You mean?” Lin Yan also made the same speculation. The original purpose of coming back to the Dragon Valley was of course to use such power to devour something that contained immense qi.
“You must know what I mean. But it's unexpected, isn't it? If only I hadn't left the Formation here, you might have thought twice about doing so.” The Asyura Dragon Goddess.
