Chapter 41 - The Respect That Has Faded
In the center of the Heavenly Dragon sect, the current sect master was thinking hard. He was surprised to find out Lin Yan took a few days off to go to the city and also enter the Long Pavilion.
And this time, Pavilion Long asked for Lin Yan's identity information. He was confused what to do. He did not want to be considered trying to stand alone without cooperating with the Star Kingdom.
“Cih! Why would that brat have to trouble me like this?” The sect master shook his head then sent a letter to Pavilion Long. He made a message that the power behind Lin Yan could not be offended at all even though perhaps the Star Kingdom was able to match them. But it is better not to add enemies.
The sect master certainly knew how strong Lin Ming and Lin Xi were. But he felt that it might not be too much different when compared to the strongest cultivators of Star Kingdom.
“Send message to the outer intermediary elder. If Lin Yan reaches the sect, give orders to the Elder to bring him here.” orders the sect master.
“Good Master.” one of the Elders directly carry out the command.

Days passed and Lin Yan along with Huan Caiyi was currently moving towards the Heavenly Dragon sect. When noon arrived, they arrived at the entrance gate of the outer pavilion.
“Stop. Unlicensed outsiders could not enter the sect.” guards confronted Lin Yan for bringing Huan Caiyi with him. He naturally knew Lin Yan was a sect disciple because he had previously seen Lin Yan go to the exit as well.
“Tell one of the Elders, I want to speak something important. We will wait here.” said Lin Yan.
The guard frowned. He looked at his companion to pick up one of the elders.
Not too long later, one of the Elders arrived because he felt that it was Lin Yan who arrived because the sect master had given instructions.
“Are you Lin Yan?” ask the elder.
“Yes. Please tell the sect master that I brought someone with me.” Lin Yan said.
The elder was not confused at all as he felt that Lin Yan had a relationship with the sect master after obtaining the previous order.
Without wasting time, the Elder sent a message by writing a certain letter and giving it to a bird.
Lin Yan knew that it was a way of conveying a message and he was just waiting. The speed of the bird is very high. Very rarely would a cultivator be able to catch him. It is said that every sect cultivates such birds because if caught in the wild, the chances of catching them are very small.
Not ten minutes later, the bird returned with a message and the elder read it.
“Bring him in. We will go to the residence of the sect Master.” said the Elder then directly moved to lead Lin Yan.
Since the Elder had said that, Lin Yan also entered carrying Huan Caiyi with him. The guards no longer stopped Huan Caiyi because it was the elder's order.
They then moved through a strange route. Within hours, they were off the route looking misleading. Lin Yan felt astonished there was such a pathway in the sect.
After coming out, they needed half an hour to arrive at the sect Master's residence.
“You may go.” the voice of the sect Master is heard from within the residence to fire the Elder.
After the Elder left, the Heavenly Dragon sect master walked out of his humble-looking residence but had an extremely spacious courtyard.
When he came out, he looked at Lin Yan closely. Normally the disciples and Elders would bow respectfully to him when meeting but Lin Yan simply kept silent and looked at him with a meaningless blank look.
If the other Elders were in that place, they would definitely shout to Lin Yan to pay their respects.
“What are you doing so Pavilion Long desperately wants to know your identity?” ask the sect master. He was actually annoyed that Lin Yan did not pay his respects to him but he still held him back.
“I only trade. And I have a request, this is my long-lost cousin. When I found it in Long Pavilion, I immediately took it with me. I want my cousin to be included in the sect.” said Lin Yan without further ado.
The sect master was getting angrier because of Lin Yan's short reply and even directly made a request. Who am I to you? Do you think you can just casually include someone else to become a disciple? This is not your grandfather's sect.
The sect master desperately wanted to shout like that but still held him back.
Of course Lin Yan's respect had faded to the sect master for publishing a sudden class B mission in the outer wilderness that might end in killing a large number of disciples. Although he did not care about the lives of all of them, but still Lin Yan did not like the sect master who did such a thing.
Also, Lin Yan this time wanted to bet on the prowess of his grandfather and grandmother through the Heavenly Dragon sect master.

The First Elder who had been near the sect Master's residence from the very beginning appeared instantly. “Come go.”
The First Elder directly brought Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi away from the place because he knew that the sect master was currently enraged.
On the other hand, Lin Yan had justified his speculation that the Heavenly Dragon sect master was afraid of his grandfather and grandmother even though the outside did not show it at all.
