Chapter 158 - Dissatisfaction
The disciples who were inside the forest all moved towards the outside of the forest.
Lin Yan who had made his first move had already arrived and looked at the several Elders of the Thousand Sword Sect who had been waiting at that place.
“Please wait for all students to reach this place to announce who is entering the final round of the competition.” said the Elder with a slightly dissatisfied face when staring at Lin Yan because he naturally knew Lin Yan was the brat who made trouble so the Thousand Swords sect lost face because of the formation they were preparing ruffled by a child.
Lin Yan simply nodded and jumped onto a tree then sat leaning on one of the branches taking a comfortable position.
The several Elders of the Thousand Swords sect only ignored Lin Yan and gazed towards the forest.
Time passed, one by one the disciples came out. Most of them put on tired, ugly, dark faces and some put a smile on their faces because their points were definitely ranked at the top.
Lin Yan stared downwards and found Jian Li along with one more sect member that Lin Yan did not pay much attention to. He was certainly aware that Jian Li's number of points reached 700 more.
If only Jian Li combined his points with his fellow sect master, it would have been a little higher than him.
Not long after, Gui Shan and Gui Zhang came out together. One of them has been assured of getting into the final round of the competition as well.
Not knowing if in the last moments the two sent a point to one of their point crystals.
Not until two hours later, all the disciples had exited the forest as the Elders tracked down all the token crystals that were still functioning. The number of disciples coming out of the forest did not reach the number 25 anymore. More than half have died inside.
“Precaution all! Since all the surviving disciples have come out, we will announce the two disciples who will advance to the next round!” Shouted one of the Elders not too loudly.
“No need to announce because we already know who ranks first and second.” Gui Zhang spoke in a slightly arrogant tone.
The elder looked at Gui Zhang with an angry look and replied, “According to you, who are the first and second rankers?”
“The first rank is that person with the number of points 1,310 points. And the second rank is me with 1,240 points!” gui Zhang said as he snorted slightly.
All the disciples who were there were only silent because they had checked in the last seconds whose number of points was the highest. And it was true that the first ranker was Jian Li and the second was Gui Zhang.
Lin Yan who heard that only smiled knowing that the four disciples combined their points with the fellows who came from their sect. This was something created by the Thousand Swords sect as a way for one of the disciples of any sect to have a chance to enter the next round.
“You're in second place? It's a pity that you're not getting into the next round this time!” the elder said slightly disdainfully as he felt that the disciple named Gui Zhang was too arrogant.
“What do you mean?” Gui Zhang asked displeased.
“Alright, I will announce the two disciples who qualified for the next round. Ranked first with a sum of 1,310 points, Jian Li. And ranked second with a sum of 1,290 points, Lin Yan!” Shouted the elder which made Gui Zhang and Gui Shan freeze on the spot.
“How can? His name is not even on the list! Did the Thousand Swords sect commit fraud?” Gui Zhang shouted in anger. He also stared at all the disciples there to show that the Thousand Swords sect was doing nothing with the competition.
Gui Zhang was furious to hear him then looked around to look for the disciple named Lin Yan but did not know which one.
“Lin Yan! Show yourself!” Shouted Gui Zhang furiously.

Lin Yan descended from the top of the tree and looked at Gui Zhang curiously.
“You Lin Yan?” Gui Zhang asked in disbelief because Lin Yan had a cultivation level of the seventh stage Spirit Realm two stages below him.
“Yes, are you disappointed with the result?” Reply Lin Yan with a small smile.
“You, there is no way this short brat is ranked second!” Shouted Gui Zhang. Even Gui Shan also did not agree that Lin Yan could enter the second rank, either, because he had already seen that Lin Yan was from the Heavenly Dragon sect and no other disciples were from the same sect there.
The other disciples also directly cursed the Thousand Swords sect for seemingly deliberately passing one unknown disciple with a low cultivation level to the next round.
“Come fight with me, show that you are indeed second rank!” gui Zhang was angry.
“Stop! Enough to get here! Jian Li, Lin Yan, come follow me! You two will join the other disciples who qualify for the next round!” the elder said and grew increasingly displeased with Gui Zhang's attitude.
Jian Li who had glanced at Lin Yan did not know what to react to. He felt that there was no need to interfere because in his current group there was already a Thousand Swords sect disciple who qualified for the next round despite having to combine points with his partner.
Lin Yan simply nodded and walked following the Elder.
Gui Zhang was furious that he still did not accept it and directly lunged towards Lin Yan.
“There's no way you're in second place!” Shouted Gui Zhang furiously.

One of the Elders appeared in front of Gui Zhang and directly hit his stomach which made Gui Zhang bounce very far away.
“You..the Heavenly Gate sect will not allow this! Although the two sects have cooperation, you guys have made a mistake that made both sects enemies!” gui Zhang said as he held onto his stomach from feeling very sick.
The elder only snorted and left the place because he did not care about Gui Zhang's threat, because, indeed Lin Yan was the second champion, and all the cultivators out there knew it as well.
The disciples who were there were not happy with the way the Thousand Swords sect was. They would naturally report this matter to their Elders and all of them would definitely be shocked by the answers of all the Elders of each sect.
On the other hand, Lin Yan and the Thousand Swords sect disciple named Jian Li followed the Elder to a place where the participants who had qualified for the next round gathered.
